I make those all the time for my bf because I learned it when they ran out of dessert at Ono Hawaiian BBQ, the chef made that for us instead and we fell in love!!! We lived in Hawaii for 3 years while my husband was stationed in Hawaii. We grew to love Spam, and Spam Musubi. We make it like your grandmother makes it, except we do not put milk in the egg! We even have a similar contraction that she uses, bought it off of Amazon during the pandemic.
I'm a grandma too and I always take a 'shot' of milk when cooking....but, I use a metal measuring cup so the milk is good and cold :) I just found my store carries that seasoning mix so I'm going to try this recipe!
It's weird how spam is loved in so many countries but the contiguous states of America. Here in the states we look at spam as DISGUSTING, and what we would buy for the homeless to survive off on. Spam is NASTY and it's a mixture of nasty meat byproducts and fat that shouldn't be legal. In our opinion that is. If you enjoy it, go for it.
