I understand that certain people like patina.. to me it literally makes me physically ill to look at. But love goes out for the effort and realism. 💯

Looks great. I agrea with the customer on more white. And the runs makes it look more realistic. Looking forward to rest of the collour. I personaly like when a door or a fender is either different collour,or same as rest but a bit darker or lighter, like a old repair, and they did a poor job matching the fabric collour. And also some square gray primer collour in some corners with rust on, like they tried to fix som rust sometime along the way. Thumbs up from a subscriber in norway 🇸🇯 🇸🇯👍👍👍

@@mortenhenningsen940 I would like to go wild with it and have definitely thought about adding some sections of grey primer here and there. Unfortunately, we are completely out of budget and Ill be painting the rest of the truck for free to get it out the door. No more room to get creative with it. Ah well, it'll still look great once its done. Glad you dig it 😎

Julie, So if u don't have the time and money to so called "do it right" are u just supposed to leave it in the garage and not take it out and enjoy it? Or maybe u put your money into the things that make it reliable and enjoy it as it is. It's not necessarily a craze but people still putting these vehicles back on the road with the money they have. It shouldn't have to be a rich man's hobby. Your so called "do it right" paint job will cost close to $10k at the minimum. I have cars that I don't even have that much into that more people crowd around at every car show and at the gas station than the painted cars. $10k paint job wouldn't improve that. I enjoy it as much or even more because I DIDN'T have to spend that money to be happy. I put that money into making it reliable and drivable.

@@CJsTakes13 I have done proper paintjobs myself for the cost of materials, it's not hard. I had a friend who is a qualified spray painter panel beater tell me I did a good job. Patience is the main thing needed.

@@GregoryBamber So how is that "doing it right"? like the person I'm responding to stated? How is it "lazy" to leave the patina that is Original to the car and tells a story? I've rattle canned cars before. I'll never do it again. Looks lazy and like a moron thinks he did a good job. Natural patina Lookes better. Better to leave the natural look. Not everyone has the time/ability or equipment to do attempt a proper style paint job. I've painted cars that have won best of paint at local car shows. I personally don't like to do it anymore and refuse to pay someone else to do it for me. I get a lot of compliments on my patina rides. And I don't have to worry about it getting scratched up when I go to the grocery store. Yep I go shopping in mine. Not worried and I enjoy using the crap out of them. TO EACH THEIR OWN.
Only snobs dis another mans ride because he didn't spend thousands to paint it.
