Downtown is really an amazing place. I just lived down there for a year with my 3 young kids and my wife while our house was built. It was such an awesome and safe experience. It is often quiet but this was shot mid week. Weekends are often filled with festivals and fun. I will say, other than Caresource (who now allows remote work) the office population is bad. But so many people are living down there. Many places driven by quickly in this video are some of my favorite places to go.
I love it here and they're actually putting more stuff in downtown now and when I say stuff I mean they have fun stuff planned and they're planning on cleaning every building and remodeling every building in the downtown not to mention the Dayton arcade is almost finished after almost years of work.
Wow !!!! that looked like Cincinnati about 20 yrs ago its amazing how the town looked so barren , no foot traffic , was this filmed on a Sunday ? real ghost town vibes , no thing looked open or populated , a bland lanscape ...what happened to the Oregan ditrict with all the adult bookstores and bars and vintage shops ?
After Covid downtowns just haven't been populated the same. It's sad. This was filmed on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. The Oregon district is still there, but it was dead too...
It was dreary on the day when you recorded this. Downtown Dayton is really a thrilling and thriving place...so different from 20 yrs. ago. Your video did not convey that
Romans 10:8-9 New International Version 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”[a] that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
I wish I hadn't bothered with your video. I kinda knew where the direction it would be going. SO negative the city that taught the world to fly would be addressed in such a way. What a totally waste of my time
If that's how you feel, just from watching a video of someone driving around the downtown of a city with no talking, that is completely your own issue.
Greater Dayton has miles of great biking paths, maybe one of the best in the country, shaded, maintained and beautiful scenery.
I didn't know that, very cool!
Great tour, thanks for sharing!
You're welcome
Thanks for posting. Nostalgic. Went to Wright State University from 1995 to 1997. Never been back since.
You're welcome!!!

Yeah, Dayton has some really rough hoods.
Moving here from Seattle cant wait to enjoy the slower pace!
Best of luck and thanks for watching!

Yup! It was shot midweek. That's pretty cool, though. How is it raising kids downtown in a mid sized city?

That's awesome!
Great video!! I was just in Cleveland and Canton. Thanks for sharing

They think painting the dreary with bright colors is going to give the illusion the infrastructure isn’t run down.🤔
You're not wrong.
Not just run down but semi deserted. The comment about the trail system is spot on though.
True.
👌
Thanks for tuning in
Everybody goes through downtown.
This video is a tour of downtown
Do something different, use you imagination.@@infinite.destinations
20 seconds in. The first trackless trolley bus lines.
Interesting
❤❤❤
Thanks for watching.
Good enough
Thanks for watching.
Centre City is soon to be redeveloped. Mead and the former Premier Health building should be new housing.
Interesting!
I see the video in Greensboro...It looks like the same city
I never thought of that but you're actually right, they do.
I didn't want to say that they are the same city but that they are similar, at least for me as I'm italian
They do look similar. I am too 🤙
We shall see in 2024 if God say yes

All because of the weather which I can't control, and lack of people out and about which I also can't control and is a direct reflection of the city?
No people … Empty city…
Yep
