The only woodtuber i can stand to watch. Everyone else is all product placement and power tools only. This is a perfect blend of old and new while retaining as much old as possible. Unmatched in my eyes
Matt Estlea, Jay B, Jake G, James W, Luis T, Brian, Guy, Tommy...Wow, so many of my favorite craftsman posting on this video. Now THAT is the mother of all compliments!! Hats off to you all my good sirs.
Other then the birth of my children and grandchildren the furniture you make are some of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I always have to show my wife the things you build and she agrees. Wish you joy and happiness this holiday season.
Every time I see a new video of you guys in my list I feel like a kid in Christmas Day. Thank you so much for sharing your craftsmanship with all of us, mere mortals.
Excellent work! You are a true craftsman, and as a working guitarist I appreciate you playing Trace Bundy in the background. It really enhances the viewing
That is the epitome of woodworker porn right there. when ever I see one of your videos go live I drop whatever I am doing and watch it 2-3 times. just something about the feeling of fine shavings on a perfectly flat board!
Wow o.O that is masterful tree carcass working. That thing must be worth thousands, jeez I couldn't even afford the wood shavings of it. Oh well, at least I can see it being made on RUclips :3
would you consider showing your personal hand plane setup? how you sharpen and tune your plane irons, chip breakers and all that jazz? You seem to get incredible performance from you planes and i'm incredibly intrigued. Beautiful work! Thanks for sharing!
You are a skilled craftsman! I've learned a lot from watching your methods for shaping edges among other things. Your furniture is beautiful and built to last a lifetime or two. You use one hand plane that seems to be a smoothing plane, but is shaped like a coffin (at 5:56 min mark). I know I have seen this plane before, but can't place it. You seem to use it for smoothing edges and what I believe is the Lie Nelson 4 1/2 smoother for the surfaces. What is this other plane?
me encantan todos tus trabajos , realmente eres excelente tus trabajos son muy buenos. me gustaría que hicieras un video de una puerta principal de casa. 👍👍👍
Hoping you can take a minute to answer a few questions about the video: Where did you purchase the lumber? Why did you use the miter plane on the edges of the panels? Why did you prefinish the panel pieces with shellac and then plane the panel pieces after which would remove the shellac? A really incredible piece of work.
Awesome video great looking piece i was wondering if you could tell me what that plane your using is its handle is more like a knob and it's lower than most you were using it on the dovetails and ends of boards
Beautiful Craftsmanship. Would you elaborate on how to get that silky looking finish? Is that just the wood or does the planing Technic have something to do with it? Thanks for sharing, thumbs up.
Thank you for sharing your amazing craftsmanship. Always my go to videos when I need to be inspired to get my butt in the shop and work on my skills. Someone mentioned earlier about the fine shavings. Anyway you could share any sharpening tips?
That is very nice. Great craftmanship. The entertainment aspect of this involves a lot of cables. How did you allow for that when also hiding the mess?
What is that boxy three-sided plane you use on the cherry (at 5:50)? You follow up with a #4 (#5?) plane after that, so I am wondering why the different planes. Beautiful work on beautiful wood. You capture the chatoyance perfectly.
That is a no 9 “iron miter plane” which is not made anymore. Stanley and Lie Nielsen made them. I have it sharpened differently than the #4 smoother. One to flatten and clean the surface and one for final finish.
@@Doucetteandwolfefurniture Thank you for the reply. One more question if I may: what finish do you use on pieces like that? You don't need to worry about water rings on the entertainment center but the matching pieces may well get drinks set on them...
Clearly its been a while and the work is beautiful, but at the risk of being rude, what would you charge for such a set today? The curiosity is killing me! 🙂
"Baba Booey!"- wow! that is "flipping beautiful!-one lucky customer for sure- just curious-whats your favorite hand plane..i always watch your vidoes 2xs b4 comenting.:)
Okay, now THAT's what I call a jointer at 0:25! I have a few questions about it...first, how wide is it, like 20"? Also, who is the manufacturer? Additionally, I notice that other than for turning and hogging off heavy amounts of material quickly, you pretty much do everything by hand from start to finish, including some extensive face planing with hand planes based on what I've seen. This isn't a criticism at all, but I'm curious...what's the point of face jointing if you're going to do some surfacing with hand planes anyway? Again, just curious.
why do you never Show how the pockets for the dovetails are made? it's always the same side, you're filming. what's the secret? :-D Love your work and your Videos! It's an inspiration every single time.
I'm always in awe at your craftsmanship. Stunning work as usual.
couldnt agree with u more jay.
Fantastic
Your furniture is amazing but HOW GORGEOUS IS THAT CURLY CHERRY? Holy COW!
That is some beautiful cherry and the curls that came out of the planes 🤤
The only woodtuber i can stand to watch. Everyone else is all product placement and power tools only. This is a perfect blend of old and new while retaining as much old as possible. Unmatched in my eyes
Thanks! Cheers!

Brilliant!
Sometimes things reach a pinnacle so high that it surpasses inspirational and becomes discouraging. This is one of things.

Matthew's from another planet
That is very nice. Great craftmanship.
The entertainment aspect of this involves a lot of cables. How did you allow for that when also hiding the mess?
Fantastic build. What type of glue do you use on your dovetails?
great work.

The accompanying music is as beautiful as your work! And who is at the end? :-) 9:58

How do you set up your planes to be able to plane contrasting grain directions in one pass? Also, what is that is big, blocky looking plane?
Wonderful
Clearly its been a while and the work is beautiful, but at the risk of being rude, what would you charge for such a set today? The curiosity is killing me! 🙂
How long do you take to make such a beautiful piece of furniture ?
wow absolute perfection again, can i ask a question, how did you attach the side pods to the centre pod
I can watch this all day long!! Im curious to know do you finish off the smoothing plane or is there any sanding involved before you use shellack.
"Baba Booey!"- wow! that is "flipping beautiful!-one lucky customer for sure- just curious-whats your favorite hand plane..i always watch your vidoes 2xs b4 comenting.:)
He uses Lie-Nielsen tools. They are beautiful!

what hardware did you use to mount the bi-fold pocket doors?
相当的精致呀👍
can you do a shop tour sometime? would love to see whats going on!
you get a great finish from the plane do you sand it as well
I was able to get a good surface from the plane so no sanding was needed. If the surface is not what I want from a plane I do not hesitate sanding.
awesome
why do you never Show how the pockets for the dovetails are made?
it's always the same side, you're filming.
what's the secret? :-D
Love your work and your Videos! It's an inspiration every single time.
Epitome of craftsmanship. FYI, you have a typo starting at 7:44.
