Got nothing to do with seeing more of the world, its only a matter of culture. Men holding hands is considered gay in Europe and America because 95% of the men holding hands are in fact gay (when doing it in those areas of the world). In all my years living in the states I've never cant recall ever seeing men holding hands that isn't doing couple things. Same in all my years living in Europe, men holding hands are doing couple things. When I moved to the middle east and started traveling to Asia and Africa. I see normal (straight i would assume) men holding hands all the time. Its kind of rude form your side to tell people you need to see more of the world. Since its their culture to see this as behaviour thats gay and basically all men from those areas are grown up with dont hold a mans hand. Just respect it like when we travel to Asia or some other areas of the world were holding hands is normal we(I) dont comment it since we know its cultural.
