About 3 years ago, I suffered from candida overgrowth. Apart from the digestive issues, I suffered from fungal infections all over my body. I have since cured myself using natural remedies, detoxes, and candida diets. But it was a challenge.
I recently purchased a small UV light and examined my skin. I noticed that I have a lot of bright orange specs. I read that this can be an indicator of yeast, which I believe is highly possible considering my history.
I’m just a bit concerned that the overgrowth can happen again if I let my guard down.
I examined my brother ‘s skin and other people’s skin with the UV light and they did not have the same orange specs I did

    Love the videos and explanations.
    Question, Doc:
I’m a 34 year old former USAF officer. I became ill over the last year and now have bizarrely become very bed ridden with my greatest driving issue to be soft, pliable, seemingly dehydrated skin that is having troubled turgor. Even my other connective tissue-tendons, ligaments, muscles, etc.-has become severely compromised, particularly those supporting my spine. I’ve never had any indication of EDS. I’m curious as to what sort of causation might be behind such a baffling condition. This happened not too long after I had swollen lymph nodes in my abdomen (July 2020). C*vid comes to mind for me, as I’ve read that it’s having some major impacts on connective tissue with many folks. I wish I could give you a skin biopsy. Whatever the driving force is, it seems deadly…like I now have a sudden mitochondrial disease, etc. I speculate on cytokines, MMP-9, etc. 🤔
    Thanks, Doc 🙏 [salute]

I came here trying to find answers about what's going on with my scalp. From my microscope, I'm almost certain it is fungus.. dark colored, round, asymptomatic EXCEPT for damaging my hair. It's on my scalp and oftentimes at the ends of my hair strands. My scalp is naturally VERY oily, I can easily see "pools" of it on my scalp on my digital microscope as soon as like 1 to 2 days after washing. I'm wondering if maybe it's malassezia.. how could I determine that for sure? And how can that be treated?! This video is def interesting

Very good teaching!!! So the most important clue to differentiate them from candida or other fungi is the lack of hyphae?

They look very similar. Here’s info that will explain differences.

@@JMGardnerMD hello I have a question in regards to a Malassezia overgrowth. How do we control it without disrupting other bacteria on the skin someone told me to try bacillus subtilis in a serum to try to combat the fungus put in a healthier way versus trying to kill it off with antifungal’s. I’m dealing with sd Malassezia overgrowth around my nose, eyebrows and jaw
