Just want to add that apparently some of her default combos aren't doable on high ping... Aware. Just be warned that might be a thing and make sure you check if the combos work for you in the test run!
Ngl nerfing her uptime made her so tough to play sometimes. It can't be extended by hitlag, and she can still be affected by elemental reactions that slow her down. And God forbids a hilichurl sneezes on the other side of the abyss chamber, since she has zero resistance to interruption. Even if you wanna be a badass and play without a shield, dodging once already feels like you're cutting your uptime in half. I have a lot of fun with her, but she does suffers from a lot of issues that Yoimiya did, for example (who's my other fave 💀).
That was precisely what killed the deal for me, after 2 of the best (if not the best) non-burst reliant characters in the game, getting a character tied so hard to her skill uptime and CD felt awful.
Ppl keep forgetting sbout Zhongli existence and his universal debuff of -20% RES. Yeah, VV lowers RES even more but you cannot swirl dendro in quicken teams. So, with Zhongli you get stun resistance whenever you make a usual combo AND your dendro support (in my case it's Nahida) deals even more dmg
@@MrMichelangelo Zhongli is a ton less damages than Kazuha or Beidou. Like, i have a reeally good investment on her but if i swap to Zhongli i can't clear 12-1 anymore because of the lack of damages
@@lafeechloe6998 one cannot deal tons of damage whilst being stunned. You trade some pros of VV shred for other pros of strongest shielding character in the game. Speedrunning is important just in the Spiral Abyss, more often you need survivability/stun resistance
A bit of a side note from a controller player with default button layout. You can’t move camera around during the charge attack because your thumb is occupied. Meaning you can’t see shits most of the time unless you’re a claw grip pro or are willing to change button mapping and rewrite your years of muscle memory. This is not the case with bow characters or Neuvillete because the game alternatively let you charge attack with left trigger button. If anyone else see this, consider that. But if you already pulled her, help me put that into survey. She really needs to be able to charge attack with different button.
Claw Grip Pro? You don’t need to be that good at it. Also coming from someone who can play claw its not that hard to get used to. Especially for a very non demanding game like GI
Yeah, the worst thing about her is how you have to just spamspamspam her abilities as fast as possible to make the most of that short term buff. If it had relatively 100% uptime then she would be much more cozy to play and you could just relax and enjoy it.

Hmm I think it’s not a big deal in the context of clorinde / Fischl short rots. She clears waves in each short rot and has to reapply nahida etc. on boss fights she’s clearing maguu in 35s including his 10s time waste which means 25s aka 2 short rots. So the change isn’t impactful at all there. Idk about OL comps where Fischl is less important dmg share wise. I don’t play OL comps with her.
As you say, whether she's fun or not is entirely subjective. I very much enjoy the fast and furious playstyle, blasting and jetting around the battlefield. I also like how the gun will actually aim upwards to shoot flying enemies, even if she can't crit the flying ruin enemies to knock them out of the sky. You can also play around her range to wait out an enemy attack while still doing damage from afar, or cut your 3-shot sequence short to zip through an enemy and then finish your sequence once you're behind them and out of danger. I can also see how others would find her repetitive, and sometimes frustrating due to her uptime. Getting interrupted during her Skill is pretty devastating to her DPS. And no, she doesn't compete with the top-tier teams, but she's more than good enough. For me, she's a better Keqing. Not in terms of her damage output, it's about the same. It's her range, movement, and self-healing that makes her stand out. I always wanted to enjoy Keqing, but the short range on her normals and the backwards movement in her CA always annoyed me. Do I wish they hadn't nerfed her Skill duration? Of course, it's pretty bullshit that they did it, but it didn't kill the character.
I enjoy Clorinde a lot. For me, TF makes the difference. With Whimsy the rotations felt super awkward, but now with TF+Blacksword at 183CV, 1.5k Atk and 226 EM she feels nice! Still not suuuper sure about teams, but Sucrose, Clorinde, Nahida, Fischl is my favorite team so far.
I didn't know if I'd enjoy her, didn't know much about her kit but I liked the design, so I pulled. Ended up having a blast, probably the most fun I've had since Navia. But as you said that is subjective. As far as power level goes, she can range from very underwhelming when played sub-optimally to very much balanced overall. And in perfect case scenarios her ceiling can be as high as my Arlecchino in AOE (both are C0 with 5* weapons). I like that personally, because it pushes me to improve my gameplay. Not every unit needs to be as simple to play as Arlecchino and Neuvillette. I think it's just recency bias when people say she's "bad", or as I like to call it, the Kokomi syndrome. Overall, I'm very much enjoying her and am happy with her place in the meta. the .6,.7 characters are always "future proofed" for the next region, Natlan will probably have a lot of BoL mechanics and other new mechanics to make her better
@@christophermauro-barias7451 My Clorinde (C6R3) team clears the current 12-1 about 7 seconds faster than my Arlecchino (C6R5) team. Her ability to quickly move to the next wave and faster setup time made the difference. Arlecchino definitely have much higher single target damage but in multi-wave multi-enemies scenario Clorinde tend to do a bit better. (Arlecchino's damage falls off a lot when the fights drags on too.)
@@None38389 sorry, but that's not relevant for 99,9% of players, we're talking about C0 or C1-C2 AT MOST, who gives a damn about a milliseconds on C6 characters. That said, I like both Clorinde and Arlecchino's playstyles equally though Clorinde has a bit more inconveniences artificially created by mihoyo
I honestly find her to be one of the most fun units to play. I'm just a sucker for her zoomying all over the battlefield and starting off with her burst always feels amazing.
Thanks for the content! Clorinde feels like Better Cyno (& Keqing). Her rotations allow Furina, fischl, and nahida to do their thing comfortably. Add Zhongli when I don't feel like playing good or Furina is needed elsewhere. TF is fine like you said. Nahida and fischl are super easy to set up if you need a 2nd rotation. Just hold back your bursts for another wave. Its nice that Qiqi has a team that does things.
The more units get released, the more I'm tempted to pull Zhongli, lol. Might try to get him in his next rerun if it's still far away (since I currently have a guarantee I'm using for Furina's C2).
If you have layla, she's a good alternative for a shield for now until you get zhongli, you can easily swap her build onto big zhong once you get him 🙂
I was super duper excited for her ever since the fontaine trailer last year. All my excitement went down the drain as soon as I booted the test run. Playing her felt miserable. Glad I didn't pull her in my overexcited state of mind and now I can save for navia this time
Kinda felt the same way. Also felt the reverse for Navia. Wasn't excited for her at all (before kit reveals etc), but played the test run and now she's my favorite char. Also she has my favorite combat voice line haha

She's too redundant. When theres already Keqing and Yae there's not really much point in another electro aggravate dps and her damage doesn't make up for that. It would have been smarter to design her with Chevreuse and overload in mind a bit more that would put her apart from other electro dps. Skyward blade Clorinde + Qiqi is definitely funny tho.
I think the huge W with Clorinde compared to Keqing and Yae is that somebody finally got to use that Finale of The Deep R5 lol (f2p rejoice).. so if for some reason who wanted an on-field DPS and don't have/don't want to give the mistsplitter or any 5* weapon you have there to her, she has that option and despite being from Fontaine she got to use TF 4pc (although, a more incovenience than Arelcchino's Gladiator Set if you haven't farmed TF in the past year) so yeah, my point is just mentioning how comforting she builds than both of them (thank god, Yae's EM set is finally on the strongbox)
For an electro dps to be unique now they need to make a character that attacks slowly with very large hits. Like an Electro Navia. It would be an electro hypercarry that is played with c6 Sara for example
The moment I saw the uptime nerf, I was worried about what it would do to her unit feel. After playing her extensively in the trial, I can say my fears not only were justified, but that she has an even bigger problem I didn't think about: the camera. With how mobile she is, I've killed an enemy only to have no idea where the next one is too many times to count, and when this happens it *really* cuts into your uptime. Perhaps this is less of a problem with TF, since you can just start another rotation right away, but it really put me off from rolling her. (Controller player, fwiw)
I don't like playing her with Kazuha because then you have to do stupid shit to get the Electro swirl over Nahida's Dendro. I've been using Zhongli which works great because Clorinde and Fischl can already heal themselves if they take some damage here and there. Furina in there instead of Zhongli can be fun as well (no shield but more self healing). I have kinda adjusted to the shitty situation with Bond of Life and Ping. Did Zajef find Arlecchino fun or just good? because with Arle you really don't do much more than you do with someone like Yoimiya to be honest (especially at C2+ when you don't even need to let the mark cook). You can't call that super fun gameplay.
I agree, was going to pull Arlecchino but didn't really like her gameplay, nor her animations. That's of course subjective, but for me Clorinde is definitely more appealing in both departments. I think she's just literally a character that people will be divided on.
Arle is a bit more fun than yoi in my opinion because you can swap off and keep your damage. This can create some situations where dealing a couple hits swapping to a support then swapping back is really good and that's something not a lot of dps units can do. Pushing her to the limit by skipping her burst and getting rewarded for it is also something I have a lot of fun with.
@@atombubble4757 True. Being able to swap out does make her more fun that Yoi. I don't like that I can't see the Burst unless I need to heal tho D= (then again, you never Burst with Yoi either, lol). I guess my point was that when it comes to dealing damage all you do is spam click.

I think ultimately, the power just isn't there, and her gameplay is quite busy, so, immediately after powerhouses like navia and neuv and arly, it feels like you're doing more work for less return.
idk about but Navia is literally on her and Lyney's level, Navia doesnt deserved to be put on the same sentence as Neuvillette and Arlecchino since the former is on a tier of his own and the latter is more or less if a pyro catalyst user had 400% MV on each basic atk. Navia is so overrated it's not even funny (then again, her abyss usage rate is a testament of how overrated she is when it comes to youtube and reddit cesspools)
@@keku52Navias pull value and play rate is high because shes different and fun to play in a way most characters arent, not necessarily that shes strong imo. People dont play the strongest possible team for abyss everytime they usually play the funnest team / the comfiest. Chlorinde is stronger keqing / yae but you cripple her if you play with a shield and feels like shit when playing without one because of the absurd skill time nerf.
@@keku52 I agree that navia doesn't deserve to be put on the same level as neuvi and arle, but she isn't really overrated. She have the upside of dealing several burst damage in one rotation which can be a good thing if you have enough investment to one rotate content. But yeah she also got a downside like not really good in big AOE, no grouping, and crit fishing.

i don't really play the game for meta, and prior to clorinde, my mains were ganyu, hu tao, and nilou bloom. hp thresholds make it so ganyu has a hard time one-shotting things now, i could never truly master dash/jump cancelling with hu tao (i even play mostly on mobile), and nilou bloom is great, but i can't really use it when playing with friends. clorinde is the first and only dps i use who's easy to use (literally just button spamming) and bring into co op. i do still wish her skill uptime was longer, but she does a good job of clearly content in 1-2 rotations. the lengthier time i have to wait with whimsy also lets me squeeze in kirara ults, so i hardly feel it- and if i want more dmg, nahida is easily able to swap in and i don't need to worry about slotting a healer. overall, im super happy with her
9 secs to 7.5 made her so terrible especially because she has no interrupt to resistance and her healing is beyond mid. I think she's fun but a mid unit that is bound to dendro like any other electro dps which is a huge shame.
her healing and dodges are enough to sustain her from my expierence(especially in furina teams,where she can heal back half of her HP) thus this allows her to skip deffensive slot in her teams (i mean u can use zhongli for comfort,but why when u can use kazuha or sucrose instead) The point is she is very difficult to master if you want to get her teams to their full potential
@@kasumi9873 Not really, she's extremely easy to play just like any dps in Genshin that is not Al Haitham or Childe. Her dashes are only useful when you use them to spacing by dashing through enemies which isn't really that useful all the time. The problem is when you get hit once or even dodge you lose big chunk of damage. She needed that 9s of uptime since she doesn't have hitlag and resistance to interruption. Her healing is meh without Furina and her rotations are sh*t without 4TF. She's just a slightly better Keqing without her c2 at the end of the day but Keqing is way more comfortable to play since she isn't forced to risk getting hit every 3 hit by her own attack. Worst of all Mihoyo didn't even put her resistance to interruption on her c1 like Arle and Neuv.
She isn't bound to Dendro, her electro charge team with Furina is pretty amazing as well. Had faster clear with that team than my Neuvillette team on triple kenki, all c0.

I think the problem with making a strong electro carry is that if u use that electro character in aggravate teams he/she may be too op. I think that concern of Hoyo made Clorinde little bit weaker than she is supposed to be.
They learned their lesson from Alhaitham. Frequency matters just as much as raw numbers. Fischl and Chlorinde trigger aggravate like crazy fast so if Chlorinde hit really hard then she'd be broken. Alhaitham is op because of the same thing, how often he can just trigger spread not to mention his strong split scaling.

Mid character mid dmg mid teams and mid future treatment most likely Just another Cyno situation but Fontaine, Hoyo needs to prevent baby girl Raiden from getting overshadowed by another electro unit that does not resemble their past creations from Honkai
I run her on the Fischl-Nahida-Kazhua team. But I also put a prototype amber on Nahida. It is far from ideal for Nahida's damage, but it provides enough healing for comfort if you play well enough to not get beat up. Even used that team against triple kenki last abyss and it performed just fine as long as I dodged and i-framed the attacks appropriately. And my artifacts are a joke on that account, nobody but Neuvi is geared well on it, but it still got close to 36* this new abyss cycle. Other side was Neuvi-Furina-Dehya-Jean.
Honestly dont feel bad about nahida's dmg taking a hit as usually her offield contribution to the overall team dmg isnt that much anyways even if build right (which is why emilie is shown tobe a great replacement for her in a few teams because she can replace the offield dendro application role + actually giving significant extra side dmg). The only thing that you maybe missing on is the extra EM boost of nahida's burst if u were running her with an EM subset weapon but: A. I don't have chorline so I dont know how significant or not extra EM is for her. B. Knowing her and kazhua's ER requirements especially if not given enough from their builds, you probably did the right call to make nahdia a healer/battery with it
@@agiant5715 Yeah, energy isn't an issue. And I still managed to keep my Nahida at nearly 700 EM with triple EM when using the amber. The team feels really comfy, and doesn't feel as gimped as it would if I replaced Fischl or Kazuha with a shield. I'm quite impressed with the team honestly, I'm getting 6* on 12, which is the best that the account I have her on has ever done.
I like her design, I like her gameplay and I am not salty about the long E cooldown, because I the set I use on her is thunder fury, so I try to do many electro related reactions and it WORKS.
Initially when I pulled her I was disappointed with the uptime but after playing the teams more I don't have a problem with it. Only big gripe is her lack of interruption resistance, because her uptime is so short I feel she's almost unplayable without it because even dodging is a large DPS loss, but the teams with Zhongli and Xingqiu do feel reasonably good so it's not terrible.
so if anything she's maybe more fun than I expected. I didn't have a real aggravate team before this though, I definitely think her value is lower if you already had one you liked
Chlorinde feels great to me. I got Cyno and ended up rarely using him because of how clunky he feels. I liked the idea of his gameplay but in practice it felt pretty bad. Chlorinde feels much closer to what he should have been.
This video had way more cope than the usual post-release stuff, I mean, you mainly talked about how she was "not that bad", how her less useful teams are "still ok", how "she is fine", that doesnt inspire much confidence on her as a character
Bruh not everything need to be hyped. She is mid, that's what zajeff meant to said. Mid as in just average, good enough in term of damage, not crazy like arle neuvi, not bad like yoimiya. Many people thought of mid as bad because idk brsinrot or smthg when in reality she is just mid, average, 3/5, you name it so the word "ok" and "fine" is perfect description of her. Her less useful team are still OK in context of this abyss where in second chamber it's more of elemental application check on the first half against pyro lector, which mean her taser team can be better that her quicken team.
Well that's because Clorinde is a pretty average unit that doesn't do anything new or better than other already existing units. If Fischl didn't exist she would the worst DPS of Fontaine.
The CD reduction from TF made her gameplay so much smoother. Even tho whimsy dmg is higher I don't think I will ever remove TF from her. 😂 Its just the button spamming that got my hand tired after playing her for a while, same as Yoimiya 😅
I'm sadly disappointed with her, the CD nerf really ruined her. Especially after experiencing a chara like Arle with technically no CD on optimal play, playing Clorinde feels AWFUL. I'm gonna have to gamba really really hard to get her a functional TF set. The only TF set I have is on Keqing & is crit rate focused so I cant give it to Clorinde. Also, her enemy targeting is so bad. Sometimes she targets the enemy I want, sometimes its a different enemy, sometimes she's flying off to go knows where & leaving the enemies behind. I can see myself going back to just playing with Miko cos she actually is just a lot more fun than Clorinde.
I find TF is very overrated on her since you don't do extended rotation outside of Furina teams, maybe also Xingqiu. in her usual aggravate team with Kazuha using TF or Glad/Whimsy made no difference since you'll need to swap out anyway. I only use it in coop now. idk i kinda like the elemental/shield checks on recent abyss where matchup matters more instead of strictly dps checks you can bruteforce with anyone. it's an obvious way of balancing abyss around any current featured unit.
Skyward Clorinde good! I personally found that I don’t really needs a shielder since Clorinde can just dash out of an enemy’s attack area anyways, so I use Fischl instead of Zhongli. But regardless, after ages of playing the same old teams (vape, national, quickbloom, etc), Skyward Clorinde has really revived my love for Genshin’s combat. It’s so refreshing and unique, you wouldn’t expect it to work but it does (and quite well too!). I’ve been using it nonstop, even in the first half of this new abyss (got 36 stars 😎)
I'm a big Clorinde fan and I feel like her gameplay feels a bit restrictive. I still love her and play her over other electro units but I'm having more fun experimenting on Sethos than I am on Clorinde who was just a by product from pulling on her banner. I don't understand why mihoyo places such huge restrictions on their characters. She's supposed to be a champion duelist but her normal attacks are worthless. She should have been a character that had flexible combos not skill, 1 2 3, skill 123, ult ocassionally.

Not because it’s repetitive (it absolutely is, playing that same team over and over again practically every abyss cycle) but because I thoroughly despise Xiangling. Never enough ER, never enough crit, never enough EM…it’s practically impossible to build her right and I hate it, so I don’t really use her (and thus don’t really use national).
Yo zaj, try chlorinde nahida pamber furina thoma. Like a furina burgeon type thing but furina's buff actually matters. And thoma's shield actually helps so super fun frfr
I think she's fun in the context of genshin, but we're inevitably going to experience the wuwa effect since its combat is so much more engaging compared to genshin where they literally copy paste abilities sometimes.
After all my testing with her, I just went back to playing Wuthering Waves… I don’t like the way her Quickbloom teams feel and honestly, even if her damage is better with her Sig, I think I find Keqing Quicken teams more fun to play.
She more fun than i hoped, genuinely. Funs subjective as heck i guess. What i will say is after watching a whole swath of videos after she released despite having tried it and loved it, all the people complaining, or at the very least not enjoying it like i guess some of us do are the same people manually counting to 3 🤷. Not a dig just a observation, different mindsets i guess.
Guys, is the ping issue true? Soz I've been busy so I pretty much just pulled for her then haven't played since. My ping is like in the 200s and I heard that N3E doesn't actually get you the full combo at high ping, so you gotta do N4E...or something like that
Honestly between tf clorinde and tf keqing, keqing feels a lot more fun and dynamic. Id rather string together a bunch of skills and CAs than just E -> hold M1-> E -> repeat
Been a bit lazy with playing genshin so I haven’t played her quite enough to determine if the novelty has worn off but I don’t see how that burst animation could get old and she is on mistsplitter so I do gotta use it
Yeah, even knowing that great chars probably incoming in 5.X, Nahida is still likely a must , same as Furina. Skip everything, get a 1-3 Nahidas, 1-3 Furinas and u r chilling, saving for Xbalanque/+Murata
Of course those archons in particular are the strongest buffers in the game, but she's still strong enough with buffs from other characters. Her "best" buffers are the same best for everyone because THEY'RE busted, but Clorinde can still use Yunjin, Bennett, Kazuha, C6 Sara/Chev, etc. It's not like she has any weird scaling to make her awkward to play or make work.
I wanted her Sig sword but when i lost the 50/50 in getting her and then got her after using the wishes I saved for the weapon banner, I got burnt out lmao

I've been having fun with Clorinde! Definitely, been while since I had as much fun with the game :) After playing her while with C2 R1 I decided to blew rest of my primos on C6. 😂 I really don't like Neuvilette or Arle as much so I wanted to get a dps I'd be really happy with. I used to main Raiden since her release and before that been Keqing player, so you probably will see pattern there 😂 I do agree the skill cooldown is issue but I really see it only in Coop tho. Which is not big deal to me. I am sorry you are not happy with Clorinde as much hyped you been for her Zajef, thank you for cool and highly informative vids !❤ ❤❤

I think she is a great unit and relatively fun. I didnt realize the stiff rotation she was going to have was going to be a factor in how much fun I was going to have with her. I actually prefer Raiden still. I kinda knew that was going to be the case. I am saving for Murata now. I am done with Fontaine units.
I honestly really liked her design and kit feel especially because I dont have any other electro onfielder (sadly my shougn is c0r0 so outside of national/hyperbloom she doesnt do good dmg atleast for abyss) so would have filled a hole in my character rooster. But alas i had to skip her as i read that shes very ping dependent not unlike echo set and with my already bad 300+ ping, didn't want to risk playing a characterwho at c0r0 ppl say feels a bit underwhelming even more nerfed because my ISP issue. Although I would like to ask others what do you think is the potential dmg lost from having high ping with her? As i read everything from negligible to a 1/3 of her total dmg lost per rotation
I played her with furina nahida and dehya first half of floor 12and it felt pretty good (tho thats to be expected with two archons but i digress) but I agree with the sentiment of the video- in terms of dmg, its underwhelming, but like other comments said, she generally feels better than keqing because of the bol mechanic but other than that I wish she wasn’t nerfed🤧🤧
The second I saw that her basic gameplay loop was "Press E, hold basic attack, press E after X basics", I made the decision not to pull. That's the closest thing to auto-gameplay in Genshin outside of Nahida E + Raiden E in the overworld.

got alhaitam sword, then did like 110-120 pulls for clorinde, didnt get her, then went back to keqing with the new sword and killed everything just fine, decided to not get clorinde and save for other chars since she is fairly similar to keq team wise, and just to clear a few seconds faster dont seems worth.
Clorinde is super fun for me, glad I prefarmed for her. She has some of my fastest clear times on domains and Abyss is pretty good with her. Not the strongest, but good enough
Loving her gameplay, personally. Got her C0 and I enjoy using her on TF quite a bit. Furina, Fischl and Nahida makes a great team, as does Dehya, Chev and Beidou. Been good fun to play. She is not overpowered but doesn't feel weak either.
I play her with Raiden, Nahida and Baizhu and it's pretty decent. Since her uptime isn't that high I have time to also use Raiden as dps, which is cool because I like Raiden but it's hard to use her in teams where she isn't the only dps (outside of hyperbloom). I like the fast her playstyle a lot as well, I really like the concept of doing a lot of small hits really fast, and she's (I think?) the best in that category.
how good is Echoes for Clorinde guys? i have a quite decent full set of Echoes, and havent farmed a single piece of Fragment. If the gap between those 2 sets is acceptable, i might go for Echoes
Assuming you have the low ping to make it work as intended., Echoes is about on par with Gladiator which is also fine. You'll be taking 5-10% hit from Whimsy.
I never played with quicken until now but I always thought it just means attacking with electro on an enemy that has dendro on it. So I just used Clorinde/Nahida/Chiori/Zhongli and cleared floor 12 bottom half pretty easy in one go. So what I don't understand is why people insist you need Fischl. Nahida does the dendro and then Clorinde attacks into it with electro, why do I need Fischl on top of it?
Fischl is there for damage. Every time you trigger an Electro elemental reaction, Fischl does a bonus attack that applies Electro. In other words: every Aggravate triggers another Aggravate. There is no way for non-Fischl teams to keep up in terms of damage.

I just used Fischl/Furina/Yelan/Xianyun in the Golden Troupe domain so long that I knew exactly how long it takes me, 22-24 seconds, and when I switched her for Chiori even with only one puppet my times went down to 20-22 seconds so I assumed Chiori does more off-field damage. Maybe I should've used Fischl instead, I didn't realize she gets so cracked with dendro.
@@bulletpunch9317 With Nahida (c0r1), Chiori (c1r1) and Clorinde (c0 Haran r1) and pretty high end artifacts (75+ crit/220+ crit dmg on Chiori and Clorinde, 1000+ EM on Nahida etc.) it wasn't a big deal. Well maybe a bit tougher than usual because it came down to the last 10-20 seconds.
@@cryoboy Fischl is cracked with any reaction that has electro in it. Its not thst she hits super hard its because Oz attacks a lot and it just speeds up how often you get reactions.

She may be on the weaker side compared to more recent dps, but comparing her to older ones like Ganyu, Ayaka, Yoimiya, Eula, Cyno she definitely feels like a above average carry

Whimsy is best damage but horrible feeling rotations. TF is free rotations but worse dmg. Abyss is fucking her over on both sides on both this and last Abyss so it's hard to really tell how good she is since everything is multi wave rn for some reason AND super application specific. I'm just gunna use her in overworld, a lack of competitive damage is irrelevant and she is super fun, not to mention her skill dash spam regens stamina over the duration so you have good movement. She feels like a gateway drug between casual and Hard-core gamers

Yeah on 200ms her default combo is very inconsistent. You have to do 4NA to reliably do Impale the Night which really sucks

Ngl nerfing her uptime made her so tough to play sometimes. It can't be extended by hitlag, and she can still be affected by elemental reactions that slow her down. And God forbids a hilichurl sneezes on the other side of the abyss chamber, since she has zero resistance to interruption.
Even if you wanna be a badass and play without a shield, dodging once already feels like you're cutting your uptime in half.
I have a lot of fun with her, but she does suffers from a lot of issues that Yoimiya did, for example (who's my other fave 💀).

That was precisely what killed the deal for me, after 2 of the best (if not the best) non-burst reliant characters in the game, getting a character tied so hard to her skill uptime and CD felt awful.
Ppl keep forgetting sbout Zhongli existence and his universal debuff of -20% RES. Yeah, VV lowers RES even more but you cannot swirl dendro in quicken teams.
So, with Zhongli you get stun resistance whenever you make a usual combo AND your dendro support (in my case it's Nahida) deals even more dmg

A bit of a side note from a controller player with default button layout. You can’t move camera around during the charge attack because your thumb is occupied. Meaning you can’t see shits most of the time unless you’re a claw grip pro or are willing to change button mapping and rewrite your years of muscle memory. This is not the case with bow characters or Neuvillete because the game alternatively let you charge attack with left trigger button.
If anyone else see this, consider that. But if you already pulled her, help me put that into survey. She really needs to be able to charge attack with different button.

Hmm I think it’s not a big deal in the context of clorinde / Fischl short rots. She clears waves in each short rot and has to reapply nahida etc. on boss fights she’s clearing maguu in 35s including his 10s time waste which means 25s aka 2 short rots. So the change isn’t impactful at all there. Idk about OL comps where Fischl is less important dmg share wise. I don’t play OL comps with her.

As you say, whether she's fun or not is entirely subjective.
I very much enjoy the fast and furious playstyle, blasting and jetting around the battlefield. I also like how the gun will actually aim upwards to shoot flying enemies, even if she can't crit the flying ruin enemies to knock them out of the sky. You can also play around her range to wait out an enemy attack while still doing damage from afar, or cut your 3-shot sequence short to zip through an enemy and then finish your sequence once you're behind them and out of danger.
I can also see how others would find her repetitive, and sometimes frustrating due to her uptime. Getting interrupted during her Skill is pretty devastating to her DPS. And no, she doesn't compete with the top-tier teams, but she's more than good enough.
For me, she's a better Keqing. Not in terms of her damage output, it's about the same. It's her range, movement, and self-healing that makes her stand out. I always wanted to enjoy Keqing, but the short range on her normals and the backwards movement in her CA always annoyed me.
Do I wish they hadn't nerfed her Skill duration? Of course, it's pretty bullshit that they did it, but it didn't kill the character.

I enjoy Clorinde a lot. For me, TF makes the difference. With Whimsy the rotations felt super awkward, but now with TF+Blacksword at 183CV, 1.5k Atk and 226 EM she feels nice! Still not suuuper sure about teams, but Sucrose, Clorinde, Nahida, Fischl is my favorite team so far.
I didn't know if I'd enjoy her, didn't know much about her kit but I liked the design, so I pulled.
Ended up having a blast, probably the most fun I've had since Navia. But as you said that is subjective.
As far as power level goes, she can range from very underwhelming when played sub-optimally to very much balanced overall. And in perfect case scenarios her ceiling can be as high as my Arlecchino in AOE (both are C0 with 5* weapons).
I like that personally, because it pushes me to improve my gameplay. Not every unit needs to be as simple to play as Arlecchino and Neuvillette.
I think it's just recency bias when people say she's "bad", or as I like to call it, the Kokomi syndrome.
Overall, I'm very much enjoying her and am happy with her place in the meta.

@@christophermauro-barias7451 My Clorinde (C6R3) team clears the current 12-1 about 7 seconds faster than my Arlecchino (C6R5) team. Her ability to quickly move to the next wave and faster setup time made the difference. Arlecchino definitely have much higher single target damage but in multi-wave multi-enemies scenario Clorinde tend to do a bit better. (Arlecchino's damage falls off a lot when the fights drags on too.)

Clorinde feels like Better Cyno (& Keqing). Her rotations allow Furina, fischl, and nahida to do their thing comfortably. Add Zhongli when I don't feel like playing good or Furina is needed elsewhere.
TF is fine like you said. Nahida and fischl are super easy to set up if you need a 2nd rotation. Just hold back your bursts for another wave.
Its nice that Qiqi has a team that does things.
The more units get released, the more I'm tempted to pull Zhongli, lol. Might try to get him in his next rerun if it's still far away (since I currently have a guarantee I'm using for Furina's C2).
If you have layla, she's a good alternative for a shield for now until you get zhongli, you can easily swap her build onto big zhong once you get him 🙂

She's too redundant. When theres already Keqing and Yae there's not really much point in another electro aggravate dps and her damage doesn't make up for that. It would have been smarter to design her with Chevreuse and overload in mind a bit more that would put her apart from other electro dps.

I think the huge W with Clorinde compared to Keqing and Yae is that somebody finally got to use that Finale of The Deep R5 lol (f2p rejoice).. so if for some reason who wanted an on-field DPS and don't have/don't want to give the mistsplitter or any 5* weapon you have there to her, she has that option
and despite being from Fontaine she got to use TF 4pc (although, a more incovenience than Arelcchino's Gladiator Set if you haven't farmed TF in the past year)

The moment I saw the uptime nerf, I was worried about what it would do to her unit feel. After playing her extensively in the trial, I can say my fears not only were justified, but that she has an even bigger problem I didn't think about: the camera. With how mobile she is, I've killed an enemy only to have no idea where the next one is too many times to count, and when this happens it *really* cuts into your uptime. Perhaps this is less of a problem with TF, since you can just start another rotation right away, but it really put me off from rolling her. (Controller player, fwiw)
I don't like playing her with Kazuha because then you have to do stupid shit to get the Electro swirl over Nahida's Dendro. I've been using Zhongli which works great because Clorinde and Fischl can already heal themselves if they take some damage here and there. Furina in there instead of Zhongli can be fun as well (no shield but more self healing).

Did Zajef find Arlecchino fun or just good? because with Arle you really don't do much more than you do with someone like Yoimiya to be honest (especially at C2+ when you don't even need to let the mark cook). You can't call that super fun gameplay.
I agree, was going to pull Arlecchino but didn't really like her gameplay, nor her animations. That's of course subjective, but for me Clorinde is definitely more appealing in both departments. I think she's just literally a character that people will be divided on.
Arle is a bit more fun than yoi in my opinion because you can swap off and keep your damage. This can create some situations where dealing a couple hits swapping to a support then swapping back is really good and that's something not a lot of dps units can do. Pushing her to the limit by skipping her burst and getting rewarded for it is also something I have a lot of fun with.

idk about but Navia is literally on her and Lyney's level, Navia doesnt deserved to be put on the same sentence as Neuvillette and Arlecchino since the former is on a tier of his own and the latter is more or less if a pyro catalyst user had 400% MV on each basic atk.
Navia is so overrated it's not even funny (then again, her abyss usage rate is a testament of how overrated she is when it comes to youtube and reddit cesspools)

She have the upside of dealing several burst damage in one rotation which can be a good thing if you have enough investment to one rotate content. i don't really play the game for meta, and prior to clorinde, my mains were ganyu, hu tao, and nilou bloom. hp thresholds make it so ganyu has a hard time one-shotting things now, i could never truly master dash/jump cancelling with hu tao (i even play mostly on mobile), and nilou bloom is great, but i can't really use it when playing with friends. clorinde is the first and only dps i use who's easy to use (literally just button spamming) and bring into co op. i do still wish her skill uptime was longer, but she does a good job of clearly content in 1-2 rotations. the lengthier time i have to wait with whimsy also lets me squeeze in kirara ults, so i hardly feel it- and if i want more dmg, nahida is easily able to swap in and i don't need to worry about slotting a healer. overall, im super happy with her
9 secs to 7.5 made her so terrible especially because she has no interrupt to resistance and her healing is beyond mid. I think she's fun but a mid unit that is bound to dendro like any other electro dps which is a huge shame.
her healing and dodges are enough to sustain her from my expierence(especially in furina teams,where she can heal back half of her HP) thus this allows her to skip deffensive slot in her teams (i mean u can use zhongli for comfort,but why when u can use kazuha or sucrose instead)
The point is she is very difficult to master if you want to get her teams to their full potential
@@kasumi9873 Not really, she's extremely easy to play just like any dps in Genshin that is not Al Haitham or Childe. Her dashes are only useful when you use them to spacing by dashing through enemies which isn't really that useful all the time. The problem is when you get hit once or even dodge you lose big chunk of damage. She needed that 9s of uptime since she doesn't have hitlag and resistance to interruption.
Her healing is meh without Furina and her rotations are sh*t without 4TF. She's just a slightly better Keqing without her c2 at the end of the day but Keqing is way more comfortable to play since she isn't forced to risk getting hit every 3 hit by her own attack.
Worst of all Mihoyo didn't even put her resistance to interruption on her c1 like Arle and Neuv.
She isn't bound to Dendro, her electro charge team with Furina is pretty amazing as well. Had faster clear with that team than my Neuvillette team on triple kenki, all c0.

I think the problem with making a strong electro carry is that if u use that electro character in aggravate teams he/she may be too op. I think that concern of Hoyo made Clorinde little bit weaker than she is supposed to be.
They learned their lesson from Alhaitham. Frequency matters just as much as raw numbers. Fischl and Chlorinde trigger aggravate like crazy fast so if Chlorinde hit really hard then she'd be broken. Alhaitham is op because of the same thing, how often he can just trigger spread not to mention his strong split scaling.

Just another Cyno situation but Fontaine, Hoyo needs to prevent baby girl Raiden from getting overshadowed by another electro unit that does not resemble their past creations from Honkai

I run her on the Fischl-Nahida-Kazhua team. But I also put a prototype amber on Nahida. It is far from ideal for Nahida's damage, but it provides enough healing for comfort if you play well enough to not get beat up. Even used that team against triple kenki last abyss and it performed just fine as long as I dodged and i-framed the attacks appropriately. And my artifacts are a joke on that account, nobody but Neuvi is geared well on it, but it still got close to 36* this new abyss cycle. Other side was Neuvi-Furina-Dehya-Jean.
Honestly dont feel bad about nahida's dmg taking a hit as usually her offield contribution to the overall team dmg isnt that much anyways even if build right (which is why emilie is shown tobe a great replacement for her in a few teams because she can replace the offield dendro application role + actually giving significant extra side dmg).
The only thing that you maybe missing on is the extra EM boost of nahida's burst if u were running her with an EM subset weapon but:
A. I don't have chorline so I dont know how significant or not extra EM is for her.
B. Knowing her and kazhua's ER requirements especially if not given enough from their builds, you probably did the right call to make nahdia a healer/battery with it
@@agiant5715 Yeah, energy isn't an issue. And I still managed to keep my Nahida at nearly 700 EM with triple EM when using the amber. The team feels really comfy, and doesn't feel as gimped as it would if I replaced Fischl or Kazuha with a shield. I'm quite impressed with the team honestly, I'm getting 6* on 12, which is the best that the account I have her on has ever done.
I'm definitely enjoying watching Clorinde move 😏

Initially when I pulled her I was disappointed with the uptime but after playing the teams more I don't have a problem with it. Only big gripe is her lack of interruption resistance, because her uptime is so short I feel she's almost unplayable without it because even dodging is a large DPS loss, but the teams with Zhongli and Xingqiu do feel reasonably good so it's not terrible.
so if anything she's maybe more fun than I expected. I didn't have a real aggravate team before this though, I definitely think her value is lower if you already had one you liked
Chlorinde feels great to me. I got Cyno and ended up rarely using him because of how clunky he feels. I liked the idea of his gameplay but in practice it felt pretty bad. Chlorinde feels much closer to what he should have been.

Bruh not everything need to be hyped. She is mid, that's what zajeff meant to said. Mid as in just average, good enough in term of damage, not crazy like arle neuvi, not bad like yoimiya. Many people thought of mid as bad because idk brsinrot or smthg when in reality she is just mid, average, 3/5, you name it so the word "ok" and "fine" is perfect description of her. Her less useful team are still OK in context of this abyss where in second chamber it's more of elemental application check on the first half against pyro lector, which mean her taser team can be better that her quicken team.
Well that's because Clorinde is a pretty average unit that doesn't do anything new or better than other already existing units.

The CD reduction from TF made her gameplay so much smoother. Even tho whimsy dmg is higher I don't think I will ever remove TF from her. 😂

I'm sadly disappointed with her, the CD nerf really ruined her. Especially after experiencing a chara like Arle with technically no CD on optimal play, playing Clorinde feels AWFUL. I'm gonna have to gamba really really hard to get her a functional TF set. The only TF set I have is on Keqing & is crit rate focused so I cant give it to Clorinde.
Also, her enemy targeting is so bad. Sometimes she targets the enemy I want, sometimes its a different enemy, sometimes she's flying off to go knows where & leaving the enemies behind. I can see myself going back to just playing with Miko cos she actually is just a lot more fun than Clorinde.
Fun = subjective. Xing qiu is fking boring.

I find TF is very overrated on her since you don't do extended rotation outside of Furina teams, maybe also Xingqiu. in her usual aggravate team with Kazuha using TF or Glad/Whimsy made no difference since you'll need to swap out anyway. I only use it in coop now.
idk i kinda like the elemental/shield checks on recent abyss where matchup matters more instead of strictly dps checks you can bruteforce with anyone. it's an obvious way of balancing abyss around any current featured unit.

Skyward Clorinde good! I personally found that I don’t really needs a shielder since Clorinde can just dash out of an enemy’s attack area anyways, so I use Fischl instead of Zhongli.
But regardless, after ages of playing the same old teams (vape, national, quickbloom, etc), Skyward Clorinde has really revived my love for Genshin’s combat. It’s so refreshing and unique, you wouldn’t expect it to work but it does (and quite well too!). I’ve been using it nonstop, even in the first half of this new abyss (got 36 stars 😎)

I'm a big Clorinde fan and I feel like her gameplay feels a bit restrictive. I still love her and play her over other electro units but I'm having more fun experimenting on Sethos than I am on Clorinde who was just a by product from pulling on her banner. I don't understand why mihoyo places such huge restrictions on their characters. She's supposed to be a champion duelist but her normal attacks are worthless. She should have been a character that had flexible combos not skill, 1 2 3, skill 123, ult ocassionally.

Not because it’s repetitive (it absolutely is, playing that same team over and over again practically every abyss cycle) but because I thoroughly despise Xiangling. Never enough ER, never enough crit, never enough EM…it’s practically impossible to build her right and I hate it, so I don’t really use her (and thus don’t really use national).

I have an absolute blast playing her with Furina, Nahida, Fischl. Just really fun. Kazuha makes every team less fun in my experience
I think she's fun in the context of genshin, but we're inevitably going to experience the wuwa effect since its combat is so much more engaging compared to genshin where they literally copy paste abilities sometimes.

I don’t like the way her Quickbloom teams feel and honestly, even if her damage is better with her Sig, I think I find Keqing Quicken teams more fun to play.
She more fun than i hoped, genuinely. Funs subjective as heck i guess.
What i will say is after watching a whole swath of videos after she released despite having tried it and loved it, all the people complaining, or at the very least not enjoying it like i guess some of us do are the same people manually counting to 3 🤷. Not a dig just a observation, different mindsets i guess.

Guys, is the ping issue true? Soz I've been busy so I pretty much just pulled for her then haven't played since. My ping is like in the 200s and I heard that N3E doesn't actually get you the full combo at high ping, so you gotta do N4E...or something like that
Honestly between tf clorinde and tf keqing, keqing feels a lot more fun and dynamic. Id rather string together a bunch of skills and CAs than just E -> hold M1-> E -> repeat

Yeah, even knowing that great chars probably incoming in 5.X, Nahida is still likely a must , same as Furina. Skip everything, get a 1-3 Nahidas, 1-3 Furinas and u r chilling, saving for Xbalanque/+Murata
Of course those archons in particular are the strongest buffers in the game, but she's still strong enough with buffs from other characters. Her "best" buffers are the same best for everyone because THEY'RE busted, but Clorinde can still use Yunjin, Bennett, Kazuha, C6 Sara/Chev, etc. It's not like she has any weird scaling to make her awkward to play or make work.

I've been having fun with Clorinde! Definitely, been while since I had as much fun with the game :) After playing her while with C2 R1 I decided to blew rest of my primos on C6. 😂 I really don't like Neuvilette or Arle as much so I wanted to get a dps I'd be really happy with. I used to main Raiden since her release and before that been Keqing player, so you probably will see pattern there 😂 I do agree the skill cooldown is issue but I really see it only in Coop tho. Which is not big deal to me. I am sorry you are not happy with Clorinde as much hyped you been for her Zajef, thank you for cool and highly informative vids !❤ ❤❤
I regret pulling for chlorinde for the same reason. I don’t find her fun at all. Just pressing E after 3 attacks feels bad.

I think she is a great unit and relatively fun. I didnt realize the stiff rotation she was going to have was going to be a factor in how much fun I was going to have with her. I actually prefer Raiden still. I kinda knew that was going to be the case. I am saving for Murata now. I am done with Fontaine units.
I honestly really liked her design and kit feel especially because I dont have any other electro onfielder (sadly my shougn is c0r0 so outside of national/hyperbloom she doesnt do good dmg atleast for abyss) so would have filled a hole in my character rooster.
But alas i had to skip her as i read that shes very ping dependent not unlike echo set and with my already bad 300+ ping, didn't want to risk playing a characterwho at c0r0 ppl say feels a bit underwhelming even more nerfed because my ISP issue. Although I would like to ask others what do you think is the potential dmg lost from having high ping with her? As i read everything from negligible to a 1/3 of her total dmg lost per rotation

I played her with furina nahida and dehya first half of floor 12and it felt pretty good (tho thats to be expected with two archons but i digress) but I agree with the sentiment of the video- in terms of dmg, its underwhelming, but like other comments said, she generally feels better than keqing because of the bol mechanic but other than that I wish she wasn’t nerfed🤧🤧
The second I saw that her basic gameplay loop was "Press E, hold basic attack, press E after X basics", I made the decision not to pull. That's the closest thing to auto-gameplay in Genshin outside of Nahida E + Raiden E in the overworld.

got alhaitam sword, then did like 110-120 pulls for clorinde, didnt get her, then went back to keqing with the new sword and killed everything just fine, decided to not get clorinde and save for other chars since she is fairly similar to keq team wise, and just to clear a few seconds faster dont seems worth.

Clorinde is super fun for me, glad I prefarmed for her. She has some of my fastest clear times on domains and Abyss is pretty good with her. Not the strongest, but good enough
Loving her gameplay, personally. Got her C0 and I enjoy using her on TF quite a bit. Furina, Fischl and Nahida makes a great team, as does Dehya, Chev and Beidou. Been good fun to play. She is not overpowered but doesn't feel weak either.
I play her with Raiden, Nahida and Baizhu and it's pretty decent. Since her uptime isn't that high I have time to also use Raiden as dps, which is cool because I like Raiden but it's hard to use her in teams where she isn't the only dps (outside of hyperbloom).
I like the fast her playstyle a lot as well, I really like the concept of doing a lot of small hits really fast, and she's (I think?) the best in that category.
She's basically just a faster clear of any other quick bloom/aggravate team, which essentially makes her role redundant.

how good is Echoes for Clorinde guys? i have a quite decent full set of Echoes, and havent farmed a single piece of Fragment. If the gap between those 2 sets is acceptable, i might go for Echoes
Assuming you have the low ping to make it work as intended., Echoes is about on par with Gladiator which is also fine. You'll be taking 5-10% hit from Whimsy.
I never played with quicken until now but I always thought it just means attacking with electro on an enemy that has dendro on it. So I just used Clorinde/Nahida/Chiori/Zhongli and cleared floor 12 bottom half pretty easy in one go.
So what I don't understand is why people insist you need Fischl. Nahida does the dendro and then Clorinde attacks into it with electro, why do I need Fischl on top of it?

Fischl is there for damage. Every time you trigger an Electro elemental reaction, Fischl does a bonus attack that applies Electro. In other words: every Aggravate triggers another Aggravate.
There is no way for non-Fischl teams to keep up in terms of damage.

I just used Fischl/Furina/Yelan/Xianyun in the Golden Troupe domain so long that I knew exactly how long it takes me, 22-24 seconds, and when I switched her for Chiori even with only one puppet my times went down to 20-22 seconds so I assumed Chiori does more off-field damage. Maybe I should've used Fischl instead, I didn't realize she gets so cracked with dendro.
@@bulletpunch9317 With Nahida (c0r1), Chiori (c1r1) and Clorinde (c0 Haran r1) and pretty high end artifacts (75+ crit/220+ crit dmg on Chiori and Clorinde, 1000+ EM on Nahida etc.) it wasn't a big deal. Well maybe a bit tougher than usual because it came down to the last 10-20 seconds.
@@cryoboy Fischl is cracked with any reaction that has electro in it. Its not thst she hits super hard its because Oz attacks a lot and it just speeds up how often you get reactions.

Whimsy is best damage but horrible feeling rotations. TF is free rotations but worse dmg. Abyss is fucking her over on both sides on both this and last Abyss so it's hard to really tell how good she is since everything is multi wave rn for some reason AND super application specific.
I'm just gunna use her in overworld, a lack of competitive damage is irrelevant and she is super fun, not to mention her skill dash spam regens stamina over the duration so you have good movement. She feels like a gateway drug between casual and Hard-core gamers
