The loss today can be explained very simply with one thing: no strength left in the legs. His last match at Wimbledon. I had hoped he would play once more so I could see him on the grass in person. A wonderful career. A true maestro. Yet, in these heartbreaking matches, it felt as though he had opportunity for even more still.
Rogers last singles match ends with the first time he lost a 6-0 set since the 2008 FO final vs prime Rafa. And the first time he ever lost a 6-0 set on grass. Sad end to what was otherwise an amazing career. The body wasnt there and he knew it. But still tons to be proud of throughout his career.

I was upset when he left RG in between just beacuse he had a tough match and he wanted to keep himself fit for Wimbledon. Something I didn't expect from my ideal player. Same goes for Nadal, he can play 3 masters, 1 500 and 1 GS in the span of 2 months on probably the toughest surface in tennis but he always find an excuse for not playing on grass. I have never done it before but going forward I will be cheering for Novak.
What happend to old man Dodger, he ran away so quickly he didnt even managed to wipe away his tears.
Dont worry for him, he will do just fine in a nursing home.🤣
@@kuls43 when the hell did Nadal find an excuse for not playing on grass? Such a hater.
@@kuls43 I was more upset at RG organizers for putting him on a night session with 0 crowd.
@@TheKakarot_itachi he literally pulled out of Wimbledon this year idiot
Federer's career ended at 2:58 with that scream.
Yes. I thought so.
That was a fed hag shrieking like a Harpie trying to put off Hurkac as he went to make his shot. Shameful stuff but not atypical of the fanbase.
Last Wimbledon match for Roger Federer 💔
Last atp.match ever
Heartbreaking to watch for a die hard Federer fan. But Hurkacz played well so congratulations to him but no Federer fan would forgive him for defeating him and stopping him from winning a 9th Wimbledon. But seriously, Hurkacz can make it into the top 10 if he continues this form. All the best to him.
It would have been an absolute demolition of a dismantling if Federer had somehow made the final here. Hurkacz did him a favour.
Brawo Hubert. Jesteś wielki!!!
The fact that people don't know how hard it is making it to the quarter finals with 2 knee surgery, absent from playing for a year and being almost 40 years old. That is a thing that a normal tennis player can't do.
i just hope the crowd next year comes back being educated and not start screaming their lungs out during the points
Is imposible they are a Fedtards
It's almost impossible...🤣
cheering hurscaks double fault, disgusting
@@stevennorris7181 booooing every unforced in the final vs Novak was so dirty, even Novak winners they booooing Fedtards.
@@stevennorris7181 They are always pro Federer so much so they will even make noise during a point to assist their favourite and disturb him.Ironically Fed himself was annoyed by this early in the match.Bottom line for these rabidly biased fans is that the Fed era is fading very fast whether they like it or not.
That annoying lady screaming should be permanently banned from the tournament.
lol, it's emotions
@@adelekegbenga3815 I don't know, but it doesn't feel normal or natural to have every emotion screamed out loud, unless that's the first time she feels emotions.
At this point I believe that Djokovic is GOAT based in his age and the age of Federer and others. Djokovic is younger than Federer and likely will be a top performer for years to come
Djokovic is in another universe
Congratulations to hurkacz. Boy even in 40 years of age and just got back from injury, Federer still made it this far. Lets not rush federer guyz.
Sure oy?
Let's wait until he's 59, maybe then he can win Geneva or some other 500 tournament no other human being attends.
He is Done.
@@MrMartin48705 at 40, Dopovic will not win anything (not even on his usual peds).
@@fiogray Djokovic the 🐐 living in your head rent free :) Federer not in his prime since the age of 27, so many matches lost....
Mam nadzieję że mecz życia dopiero przed Hubertem!
Z Rogerem pokazał klasę , lecz możliwości w nim drzemiące dopiero wyjdą na światło dzienne ! 💪💪💪
Bageled in his last set at Wimbledon :(
A star is born, let it shine brightly
Federer was never gonna win it with his injury, but he did really well to make this far. Hope he comes back
Congrats Hurkacz! Very well played!
Roger:
2018 - last Major Title (AO)
2019 - last Major Final (Wimbledon)
2020 - last Major SF (AO)
2021 - last Major QF (Wimbledon)
,
then
it should be:
2022 - last Major 4R
2023 - last Major 3R
2024 - last Major 2R (last won match at GS)
,
and probably it would be like that if no injury
No doubt the great man is well past his best now but to get to the quarters at 39 is frankly amazing. Hurkacz is young, very talented and confident.....to good for the GOAT on the day at 15 years younger! No shame in that.
A sad moment, but it's good that Roger's career ended with a player as nice and modest as Hubi. If one of those without the sporting spirit, the brazen and the arrogant did it, everyone would be much more sorry.
Hurkacz just ended this man's career
The last singles match of Federer's professional career
Federer wiecznie młody nie będzie, kiedyś musi ktoś z nim przecież wygrać. Hubert dostał od życia dobre warunki fizyczne, reszta to tylko kosmetyka - na pewno będzie jeszcze lepszy.
His last match at Wimbledon. I had hoped he would play once more so I could see him on the grass in person. A wonderful career. A true maestro. Yet, in these heartbreaking matches, it felt as though he had opportunity for even more still.
Djoko took his soul and bottled it in 2019
I've waited quite a while for these highlights... I expect to be entertained swiftly.
Hurkacz played great, but tbf Federer made a lot of unforced errors
Too many of them in fact. Never got a hold on the match.
35 unforced errors or something, while Hurkacz had just 12!
@man bat your mom was better.
Welcome from Canada. Oh my God, Hubert what a play, 3-0 and in last set 6-0 With Federer. What a success !!!!!!!
Hurkace's forehand, backhand and serve looks some like Roddick
He even wears a hat 😁
I wish he wins the tournament now.
Federer hits with less pace nowadays. He gives time for his opponent to chase his shots.
Correct
Very true. This is quite noticeable when watching in person compared to federer in 2017. Seems to be a confidence issue coupled with tired legs. Oh well, father time is undefeated and he has had an unbelievable career.
I was teary when Fed left the court at the end and I'm a Rafa fan. He has been such a huge part of tennis, I don't want him to retire.
Who comes to this video after hearing about Federer's retirement? 😢
This gen will see the rise of Big, versatile, movers (guys that have size, arsenal and cover the court quite well)...and Hurk seems well poised to win slams in years to come
Hurkacz will never win an ATP slam
Brawo Hubert, tak trzymaj.
Love this match. Way to go Hurkacz.
come back strong ROGER , i am waiting for u , u r the reason that i am watching Tennis
Once he was the best. And for me Roger is still one of the best. Tennis world must thank him for what Roger has dedicated. Great player great personality.
