Lonesome_Blue (apparently there is an underscore) released an EP "First Utterance" and have MVs for "Parallel World", "Welcome to Secret Heavenly Base" and "Beginning Of The End" which are all quite different. They describe themselves as "a unique blend of various elements like nothing else". Makes sense. This track might inspire thoughts of "Party Metal" but to me that just means their sound is pretty bright and clean. I really like Saki of Cyntia fame, and Cyntia come to that, and this is in that sweet spot of not quite Kawaii and not OTT metal, it's just good rock music and some of it grows on you real fast! It's easy to enjoy, especially as it is top notch quality. The track "Labyrinth" is my favorite on the EP, no MV, go figure. ;) At least some of the lyrics are from Asami of LOVEBITES and the music is a collab with the LOVEBITES contributors Steve Jacobs and Mao Yamamoto. *Maiko* Nomura - Vocal *Yuuki* Hirose - Bass *Narumi* - Guitar *MIZUKI* - Drums Both Maiko and Yuuki are well known voice actors and were/are in a band/act "The QUEEN of PURPLE", a unit of Tokyo 7th Sisters idol raising game, who have made J-Rock tracks for games and play live to large audiences - there's a movie supposed to be happening too. I am an instant fan of Maiko, she does a great job of singing in English - better than Asami in that respect but in a very different style. Apparently Yuuki has a Twitter following of her own bigger than LOVEBITES - this is intended to be a much more mainstream rock attack. Narumi was in Destrose and Disqualia and was a temporary Aldious guitarist amongst other things. She has her own EP "The Seed" which made 2ND place in Tower Records Shinjuku sales for HR/HM in 2018. She's a well known and very talented guitarist. This seems pretty different to her usual output but my hope is with her there they will do some harder stuff. I don't expect screaming. ;) MIZUKI was a member of rock band Shinku Horou and has been drumming professionally since 2012 playing support for bands in the genre such as Passcode. *Ayasa* - *Guest Violin on Parallel World* - Ayasa is a guest on Parallel World, she's a bit of a legend in her own right and is in Morfonica, one of the bands of the BanG Dream org who are also responsible for Tokyo 7th Sisters idol raising game, I think...
I really like this song, it's one of my favorites of 2022. I dig the disco feelling of it - Japanese bands never shy away from incorporating pop elements which is awesome to me.
Yeah! a super-groupe in every way👌 Thanks for letting us follow you down this wondrous rabbit hole of ladies-only-metal/rock/hardcore......take any pill...😀 I like that you remained a true metalhead and appreciate that you know and have experience of playing "our" music yourself. Far from all reactors know what they are talking about. As I may have said in a previous comment, I am 57 myself 🤟 and looking for like-minded people. I want to take the opportunity to wish for the straight rocker "Empty Daydream - Lovebites (vid live from "Daughters of the Dawn")" or "We Are - Aldious" (any live one).
I am a huge DESTROSE fan! Also FATE GEAR (Mina's band after DESTROSE)... Narumi rocks! But I had no idea Hazuki of NEMOPHILA was in DISQUALIA with her...
The part after the solo is definitely more Rainbow (Gates of Babylon), there is even such a nice modulation of the sound. Narumi and Hazuki also played together in the RAMI's band (ex Aldious).
This one is definitely the simplest song on their EP haha. Total Eclipse and Labyrinth are a bit more complex, and there is a really cool violin and guitar duet in Parallel World.
Cool Bobby, this song is softer, the whole band is very good, the bassist is solid, the drummer is amazing, the vocalist has a good voice and her English pronunciation is very good and with Narumi on guitar there is nothing talk, as the friend said Narumi was in the last line up of the legendary band Destrose along with Miho and Haruna, you should check out "Parallel world" Narumi has a very similar vibe to Miyako and both are amazing guitarists, soon Lovebites will return and it would be amazing if they opened the show for Lovebites!
Thanks for checking this out. Here is a more complete version of the history: Narumi Suzuki (known professionally as “Narumi”) is one of Japan's elite guitarists. She was Destrose’ co-lead during that band’s most successful phase, along with Destrose bandleader Minako Nakamura (“Captain Mina”); other bandmates included Miho and Haruna, who went on to found Lovebites, and Marina Hebishii, who founded Mardelas. After leaving Destrose, Narumi co-founded Disqualia with Ibuki. Her co-lead in that band was a very young Hazuki, who is now one of the two lead guitarists in Nemophila. After Disqualia disbanded, Narumi focused on a solo career, which yielded a phenomenal solo EP, “The Seed”, featuring highly technical prog and fusion-style instrumentals. It is worthy of comparisons to some of the great fusion albums of the late 1970’s. Here is the lead track, “Red Rabbit”: ruclips.net/video/cRyCaHjwIgk/видео.html Narumi also filled in for Toki during Toki’s first maternity leave from Aldious, and was with them for their only North American live appearance to date, an exhibition at NAMM. Narumi has long had a devoted fan following who wanted to see her lead her own band. Their wishes were answered in early 2022, with the debut of her new prog-metal band called Lonesome Blue. Drummer Mizuki (x Shinku-Horou), vocalist Maiko Nomura (a voice actress singing under her own name for the first time) and bassist Yuuki Hirose complete the lineup. Lonesome_Blue's debut EP “First Utterance” contains five tracks co-composed by Light Bringer keyboardist Mao, with lyrics written by Lovebites frontwoman Asami (another instance of the close and symbiotic relationship among many of Japan’s female metal stars). The song “Parallel World” features a spectacular appearance by Morfonica violinist Ayasa. “Labyrinth” ruclips.net/video/M3V3XIi1c8w/видео.html “Parallel World” ruclips.net/video/vfT1TM8r16E/видео.html “The Beginning of the End” ruclips.net/video/7_maTWu7Ycw/видео.html
Ah cool you got to them. This is maybe my least favorite of their three MVs. It's ok, rock clubbish 80s vibe for me but nothing special. I think Parallel World is better but they still do not have any song that's really a killer track. Maybe the song I like the most in this EP is Total Eclipse that does not have an MV. They look promising though, let's see what happens with them. Oh you can call me Hades Bobby, I think we've spoken some time in Babymetal Discord. Thank you for doing the song.

Lonesome_Blue is LOVEBITES’ little sister group🎵and a Super Group🚀I wanna see your reaction video to their 2nd MV ’Parallel World’🔥

Sounds discotheque.

Oh you can call me Hades Bobby, I think we've spoken some time in Babymetal Discord. Thank you for doing the song.
Thanks Hades. It's hard remembering all of these names. 🤣 I'm rarely in the BabyMetal Discord. I didn't realize you had been in there as well.
