funny the things you remember. 3:37 hitchhiking in 1982, i had the best chicken fried steak ever at a restaurant along that road i very well remember the low white building on the left and i think that was the restaurant. and the usps delivery vehicles were electric. each with its own charging point. wonderful channel. thank you. now im off to look for more i-25 videos....
Awesome video Kyle! Absolutely awesome! Cheyenne appears to be a really clean city! I’ve always wanted to go to Frontier Days! I just haven’t. It’s a long one-day drive from southeast Iowa but definitely doable! Thank you so much for sharing this with us! Truly a beautiful city! Have a great week ahead! Mark in Iowa.
Really enjoyed the video riding along through the city. Been there for Cheyenne Frontier Days back in 1970. If it wasn’t for the wind and blizzard winte4s, I would love to live there.
I love cheyenne. I drive up there often from Denver to use it as a hub to explore the area. Everyone I meet in Wyoming is nice. I'm a texas country boy who lives in the big city of Denver now, and cheyenne feels like I'm back home
I've been to the "Little America" in Cheyenne before... very nice place and the food is very good. The best one is the actual "Little America" in western Wyoming between Evanston and Green River.
One of the few state capitals with a real small-town kinda feel. The old downtown area between the capital building and the Depot Plaza is very walkable, and there's lots of well-preserved history all around you.
I'm from a rural Texas town but live in denver now and everytime I wanna get out the city and back into small town with small town folk I head up to cheyenne. It's big enough to have everything you need but small enough that it feels rural.
As an Aussie I didn't know there exist Interstates not built to freeway standard! So you have Interstates which aren't freeways and a ton of freeways which aren't Interstates... interesting.
Interstates not built to freeway standards are very rare, however. I think I-78 around the Holland Tunnel and I-180 in Cheyenne are the most famous ones.
Love the tour of Wyoming's state capitol & the area around it. I still question I-180 being there as while it was federally funded, it's not built to interstate standards. Also a number of highway numbers- including us 30 are already present on the road. As for Wyoming being the least populated state, I know the folks living there want it stay that way as they're seeing what's going on with southern neighbor Colorado with all the people moving there & changing the vibe of the state - & not for the better.

I still don't understand how they can label a clearly non-interstate highway as an interstate. It's bizarre.
There’s always a loophole somewhere.

Thank you! And I think the people of Wyoming like it that way too.
Cheyenne is a cool looking place, I don't think I'd like the winters there though.
Second highest state capital in elevation definitely plays a factor.
Wyoming in general is hell on earth in the winter. Right now though cheyenne is freaking perfect.

Cheyenne is the seat of Laramie county, and Laramie is the seat of Albany county. 🤷♂
Marysville is the county seat of Yuba County and Yuba City is the county seat of Sutter County in my home state of California.
Yikes way too many people for me. 😅
