  • So here is the final part of my caddytek cruiser buggy. The seat is installed and to be honest it's not that great but i guess it does the job.
Feels a bit flimsy and the padding is hopeless but i guess it'll serve it's purpose but for how long i don't know. I expect that it won't last that long...
Here is a link to the unboxing and setup of the buggy in case you missed that

Hey Jarrod, after looking at this video, looks like you actually bought the seat for the CaddyLite EZ and not the Cruiser model that you have. The box had the SKU# CP-EZ-SEAT which is for the CaddyLite EZ models only. That's why nothing lined up and you had to drill holes to make it fit. The correct seat you should have gotten was the one with SKU# CP-1SEAT. Probably would have lasted longer as well.

I got the slightly updated version of the seat. It doesn't have a compartment under the seat. And the bar that attaches to the golf cart has been redesigned. It has two clamps that attached to the arm bar and clampdown on to the golf cart. The design is a little better than yours but not by much. I didn't have to use a drill to add new holes. The clamps made the bar rotate and was easy to adjust to the right angle. However I feel the same as you that it may not last long. My biggest problem was getting the seat not to drag on the ground. I added hair elastics to the base of the seat raise it up a half an inch. It seems to work. Thanks for the video. At least I don't feel it was just me.

When I see this seat on line it is usually on the other side of the cart. If you had put it on the other side it looks as if the hole might have lined up.

I got the same one. I don't think you need to drill any extra holes. You didn't follow what the paper says, and you installed the seat on the wrong side.

    Thanks for uploading this review.
When you say it might not last, what exactly do you think will wear out or break first/eventually?

Hey Stu. It all just feels a bit nasty. The Velcro that holds the seat cover in place will probably rip the thin vinyl. The cushion isn’t very cushiony the springs inside the seat poles I expect won’t be stainless so will rust and either seize or snap.
I was annoyed the holes didn’t line up and I had to drill my own.
But for the cheap price it’s ok.

The quality of the seat is fine have owned it over the past 3 years w/o any issues. Mine however installed differently having 2 clamps that wrapped around the arm bar that accommodates the seat. My seat however does not have the storage compartment beneath.

Good news on the seat. I hope mine lasts as long. That said I rarely use it. My local course is usually pretty quiet so not much need to sit down to wait. The seat normally lives in the boot of the car.
