- Alpharetta, Georgia is such a great place to live. There’s so much to do, you have Downtown Alpharetta and Avalon with incredible shopping, dining and activities, a variety of affordable housing options, the greenway for outdoor fun and so much more. But every place has its pros and cons, so here’s what I love and what I don’t like about living in Alpharetta.

After spending almost 6 years in midtown/Buckhead area, I moved to Alpharetta about 6 months ago. I have to say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life. Lovely town, lovely neighborhood, and great restaurants and shopping area. To be honest, Alpharetta is closer to my office and traffic doesn’t bother me anymore. I came from a very humid and hot country so the humidity and heat hear are really nothing to me. Only wish I moved to Alpharetta years ago. Wonderful place to me and totally affordable 🥰
PS: the houses in the neighborhood around Haynes bridge rd are so cute. Hopefully I will move there in the future.
Hi Yu-Hung Chang! Happy to hear you are enjoying living in Alpharetta. It truly is a beautiful area. I relocated here from Northern VA and love the sunshine in the winter months. The food and shopping here are excellent! Ditto on best decision for me too! Thank you for watching my video! 😊
Thank you, the information shared was a great help
Thanks so much! Glad I could help Markeya!

I stay in Alpharetta too. Local wood fired grill one of the my fav restaurant
Hi Sandhya! I haven’t tried them, but definitely will. Menu on their website looks delicious and healthy! Thank you for sharing! 😋
Considering moving here from south suburban area of Chicago. The snow gets waste height from time to time out of nowhere. I will love the snow Atlanta gets. I didn’t want to move anywhere where I didn’t see snow at all. It’s beautiful.
Hi Brianna! I moved here from North Virginia years ago and don’t miss the snow or ice storms. Also, you can visit nearby North Georgia mountains to get your snow fix☃️Thanks for watching!😊
Thanks for the information 🙏🏾
Loxx byRah Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it!
I agree, Cue is the best bbq restaurant in Alpharetta.
Definitely, I could eat it everyday! 🤣
I use to visit and stay in Alpharetta too.
Thank you Travel With Us! I hope you’ll get to visit again!
We are moving to Alpharetta soon for a new job - would love help finding rentals with great school districts for my girls!! Beautiful city!
Please text me your contact info to 770-680-7011. Thank you!
as a European, that Downtown looks like a cartboard movie set.
Hi Alex! Thank you for watching. Your comment got me thinking - being the Hollywood of the South it would be cool to see downtown in an actual movie some day. 🤞🏼🤩
I am from southeast Florida, but I remember those two summer months in Georgia being even hotter.
I’ve lived in Florida too and I think the difference is the humidity. Your welcome to check out my video covering the weather month-by-month😁 ruclips.net/video/8m5wRGOAuWY/видео.html
We would like to move to Alpharetta, looks absolutely gorgeous. I don’t mind the humidity, my skin needs it.
What airport is close to Alpharetta? We would rent a car and explore the beauty around that beautiful city!
Thank you for your help!
Hi Alejandra! So glad to hear you are coming to beautiful Alpharetta for a visit. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is approximate 34 miles South of Alpharetta. It takes about an hour by car, longer during peak traffic times. Happy to help!
That's funny about the snow I'm from Michigan and it takes 4 1/2 feet of snow to .close the city down but I brought two snow blower so I guess I can save gas cool
Hi William! I moved here from Northern Virginia and can relate. Plus, they don’t have snow equipment here. You could put the snow blowers to some use further North in the GA mountains. Thanks for watching! ☃️
4 1/2 feet of snow 😂😂
I used to live In Alpharetta Georgia I grew up there.
Lucky you! It will always be home sweet home! 🏡💫
I would love to live in Alpharetta! I don’t go that way too often, but I really how clean it is and how much there is to do.
Hi Robert, it truly is beautiful! I hope some day you can come for a visit to see it in person.
Karla Eisele, I used to work in the Roswell/Alpharetta area, so I am no stranger to the area. I live a couple of counties to the west. My ideal would be to move to Alpharetta at some point.
@@robertb.4202 Sounds good Robert! Stay tuned, as I'm working on neighborhood tours.
Karla Eisele, cool! I really like the Halcyon development taking place. I guess that’s Alpharetta Forsyth’s answer to The Avalon.
Robert B. 👍🏻 driving tour will include Halcyon too!
Girl you make me want to move to Alpharetta, GA.
Stop teasing me....
I’m glad you’re enjoying my video! 🤣
I told my wife about the pollen in Georgia she's from Pittsburgh she has yet to experience it i just had to let her know before we move to Alpharetta
Thankfully, the rain helps! I hope you're both among the lucky who don't have allergy issues with pollen.
@@KarlaEisele im pretty used to it on the other hand she never seen anything like it so i just tell her to stay in the house which she probably will til it rains
@@KarlaEisele I do and sensitive skin and always said if I move Alpharetta It is hmmm i dunno a better place esp with no racism n we all get along thing
I moved to Alpharetta in 1993 from Los Angeles, CA. At that time we thought we were moving to the country. We like it here SO much better than LA. Heat and humidity don't bother me too much, but mosquitos are another story. Smokejack has the best BBQ IMO. We live close to downtown and often ride our bikes there to avoid traffic.
You have seen a lot of growth over the years. Smokejack is awesome too! I’m just a loyal fan of Cue. I hope to move closer to Downtown Alpharetta one day. It’s so beautiful! Thanks for watching my video! 😊
Can you tell me more about the mosquitos?
@@liyubi Mosquito season often comes with spring temperatures and are most active in temps above 80 degrees. With Georgia’s warm climate, mosquito peak season is during Summer months when it’s hottest. Depends on rainfall in a given year too. I definitely make sure no standing water around my house. We have great pest control company’s which can treat, but I’ve never gone that route. They love to bite my husband when mowing, so he wears long sleeves and uses REPEL - Lemon Eucalyptus Insect Repellent which works great!
@@KarlaEisele Hi Karla, my wife and I have coffee on our front porch on the warmer days and always start up the Thermacell. Thermacell has to be the best mosquito repeller available.
@@cmackscott761 Hi there! Thank you for sharing Thermacell info. Good to know! 👏🏼😁
Nice video. I just love our city even if it is like small town. ❤ I am basically from India shifted here after marriage.
Akanksha Upadhyay Mishra Thank you Akanksha! I’m so happy you are enjoying our beautiful city!
Thanks for your informative videos. I intend to move out of NJ this summer. The horrible power failure in Texas terminated my Plano dream. Could these beautiful northern suburbs of ATL be my new option?
Hi Shen Jasmine! So sorry to hear. Definitely come to Georgia and enjoy all that the suburbs of Atlanta has to offer!😊
how is the price of electricity
Based on a Google search: The average residential electricity rate in Atlanta is 11.6¢/kWh. This average (residential) electricity rate in Atlanta is 3.85% greater than the Georgia average rate of 11.17¢/kWh. The average (residential) electricity rate in Atlanta is 2.36% less than the national average rate of 11.88¢/kWh. This is for the Atlanta metro area. Thanks a for watching!
My son is in Alpharetta
I hope your son is enjoying Alpharetta and perhaps you’ll get to visit too! 😊⛲️
Alphareta this veri veri beatifull the people wonder full
Hi José! I totally agree! 💫
I am an Indian and planning to move here for work for a couple of years. Can I get rental apartments here.
Hi Shriya! That’s exciting and there are rentals. However, due to low inventory and high demand, the rental rates have increased. Thank you for watching!😊
SO IS THE COST OF LEAVING REALY HIGH THERE.
I recommend you use a cost of living calculator as it depends on where you currently live. Here’s a great one: www.bestplaces.net/cost-of-living/
Ma'am, wrong inventor...
You are so beautiful ❤️
You have pretty eyes. Don't worry not hitting on you. I am a girl ;)
Thank you! Too funny! 🤣
Mean people in that city lol
She said affordable 🤣 Im sorry but you wont find rent under 1300 for studios..
Due to low inventory and high demand of homes in our area, the rental rates have increased over the last year. Thank you for watching! 😊
@@KarlaEisele which in turn, inflation rates+High Demand= Price gouging within real estate companies.. Hints the point I was making saying that Alpharettas the exact opposite of affordable..
