we should not be judgmental .... these birds and animals have lived together for thousands of years....and they survived....this is how natural works...and we the humans took the camera and sound effect and started our judgements on them.
@Mullerornis Instead of relying on unreliable studies use your own brain they consume so many parasites per day and these birds are in vast numbers as well, how could it be possible their presence isn't making any difference?
Well we can either have animals covered in ticks or not have animals covered in ticks and can sometimes be a pain in the ass to animals that escaped a predator.
They not cleaning the wound, they opening the wound, it should be closed by the blood, but instead the bird eating it, making more bacteria or other disease to come, infecting the animals even more
Well to be fair that hippo was as good as dead anyway seems to have been mauled by lions deep scratches it's crazy that they don't just crush a few lions that would make them stop all attacks for sure most times the hippo just sits there and gets fucked up weird how the most aggressive animal won't defend itself

ironic ass nature, the parasite killer becomes the parasite...
"you have become the very thing you swore to destroy"
@@ホフマン日向 Morality like that means nothing in nature.
"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain"
These oxpeckers still do FAR more goods than bads. Without them, so many animals would be dead.

oxpeckers started drinking blood and became vampires after they put on the Stone Mask and rejected their humanity
JoJo reference
They will soon find a very weird red stone and become the perfect being
You mean birdinity.
An example of what it means "Good things don't normally comes for FREE"
I think they just like blood and thicks are just like starburts gushers filled with bood to them lll
There are no heroes and villains in nature. There is just nature.
This is my assumption as well. The ticks they consume are great sources of blood, but an open wound is like an open buffet.
Oxpecker is a blessing for most animals it does not draw blood from a healthy animal
well its also good... for them to controll the number of bigger animal in check...
They just want to eat, not help
So do other cleaner animals. There are no heroes and villains in nature, there is just nature.
It's mutualism son.
@Internet Hardcase because we are human not animals we cannot imagine ourself as others.

I mean they does want blood
It's just like politics they paint themselves as good guys...
👏👏👏💯
I think the ox peckers' advantages are far greater than their disadvantages.
They are good in moderation, haha.
Problem is nothing keeps them in check so they fly under the radar and seem to have massive populations
@@DemonTime08 predatory birds should be able to keep them in check, maybe their populations have declined too much
@@leob4403 Nah man I have to do a little research but I'm pretty sure no other birds prey on them at all

wow nature is fantastic .. Hero for the herbivorous animals and then Hero for Carnivorous animals ..
Amazing
Fascinating! Thanks for posting Christo.
SCAVENGER BIRDS!!! Doesn't the ticks make them explode??? Wow that was awful wounds...
The ticks give them a taste for blood
Do they do this to young animals or to the old ones?
I think they think the parasite is in the wound. However it is rather bad that they peck at the wounds because of this, as it is quite annoying.
I want to get an Oxpecker bird not for getting wounds but to get rid of ticks
Step 1: Acquire ticks
Step 2: ???
Why do u think they eat ticks??
the only thing that makes it bad image for that bird is the media. Nature has a rule of fair share.
Why so short?? I want a full documentary on these birds, they are crucial to survival.
why haven't you made a documentary yet? I want to see your documentary on these birds, they are crucial to my entertainment.
Video said that one can eat up too 400 in one day... How do they not help?
@Mullerornis Instead of relying on unreliable studies use your own brain they consume so many parasites per day and these birds are in vast numbers as well, how could it be possible their presence isn't making any difference?
If not for these birds the ticks would kill three times the number of animals they already kill.
What are you basing that math on
that's what you get for free cleaning but not leave after being cleaned : "the price is your blood"
Well we can either have animals covered in ticks or not have animals covered in ticks and can sometimes be a pain in the ass to animals that escaped a predator.
i believe that might be a wrong interpretation the oxpeckers behavior.
Was that narrated by John Varty?
Le animals :- carefully he's a hero
These birds are scary
It's nature
Wouldn't fresh blood attract blowflies? So cleaning the wound is helping the host.
They not cleaning the wound, they opening the wound, it should be closed by the blood, but instead the bird eating it, making more bacteria or other disease to come, infecting the animals even more
Yes, a birden (burden)
OMG
Wow
Sad 😭
we say they are good for nature like us we have our job they have their job.
XD
Why they don't eat parasites from lions and other cats?
Heroes
Well to be fair that hippo was as good as dead anyway seems to have been mauled by lions deep scratches it's crazy that they don't just crush a few lions that would make them stop all attacks for sure most times the hippo just sits there and gets fucked up weird how the most aggressive animal won't defend itself
Not by lions but from another male hippo
I see them as vultures
Villain.
i think is a threat to animals

Why do not you save the hippo instead of filming as it accelerates death?
😠😠😠😠😠
Ali Bahmed because it’s nature, we need to let it take its course.
They, in fact, are often not allowed to help and interfere. But not only that, it could also attack them instead.
Because it's nature. Like when I see a woman getting raped, I just let them get on with it. Circle of life and all that.
