Is it safe to store stuff on top of the engine cover or is it something to be aware of? I'm talking both about having them loosely slide around, as well as the possible engine heat (that I don't know if it has a presence there. I would believe it's well insulated, but I don't know). Thanks! This looks awesome and much more than anyone would need in a two seater haha.
The impromptu exercise was simply to see how much would fit in the Cayman. But the factory engine cover is certainly well insulated and little to no heat is actually transferred into the car. I would also advise that any loads were secured while driving, the same as when using the parcel self of any car or SUV. ☺
I agree. When I started, I wasn't even sure if the single mid-sized suitcase ( We pack light, so for the 2 of us, it's really all we normally travel with) would fit in the car. Then I had fun seeing what the capacity actually was. 🙂
It's really the driving experience of the Cayman that sets it apart, not just the surprising luggage capacity and usability as a daily driver. Even when compared to its bigger brother, the 911, the Cayman holds its own and has a more neutral handling balance and more natural feel on the road, and on the track. It's also "the right size" for a 2 seater sports car, especially as the 911 continues to grow in size. The 3/4 view from the rear show it to have some of the nicest curves and most elegant lines of any of the Porsches, but immediately identifiable for its lineage. Like most, I was looking for a 911, but have never been sorry for getting the Cayman instead. Brings a smile to my face every time I get behind the wheel.
A bit of a strange question, but what do you think is the max size for a suitcase you could fit in the car? We're flying in with a single suitcase with the limit of 120cm(~47'), do you think there is any way to fit a case like this in the back? Thanks!
I just measured the rear compartment. I'd say that the maximum single suitcase size would be 31"x17"x8". You could also fit a few other smaller bags as well, but nothing larger as a single unit. Still, I'll bet that few other 2 seaters could fit as much. 🤔
Impressive
is there a video or picture of people storing the max amount of luggage in a boxster?

What sizes are the largest luggages? 28inch? 30 inch? Thanks
My medium cases are 27", but I think a 28" might just be able to squeeze into the frunk. 🤔
Damn this good 😊 need to save for one and what about the frunk
