Hello, Emma! I really love your videos. You're a genious! Just a doubt, if I wanna transcribe it, can I write down /apropiIT/ or with schwa /apropiat/? Could you help me? THANKS IN ADVANCE!
Any 'nj' sound in other English words? I really surprised to hear nj sound in English for the first time in my life! It's really common sound in my native language and I really think that English doesn't have that sound. That's so cool!
Hi Emma. I waited for you to upload a new video and I would ask you a question about how to pronounce the /Th/ sound followed by the /S/ sound, for instance, in combinations like "both sounds", "sixth century" or in the really difficult combination of "the Sixth's throne". Actually, how would one pronounce something like these combinations? I've seen your all videos but I don't remember that you might have pointed at this. Could you explain this particular case or introduce a good source to me?
Hi MJavad, So from the th (voiceless) sound to the s sound, we slide the tongue back from between the teeth to the top of the mouth (the alveolar ridge). It's very hard to explain in a comment, however, I have a full unit dedicated to the th sounds and combining it with sounds like /z/ /n/ and /s/ on my Pronunciation Pro course. :) courses.pronunciationwithemma.com/courses/britishenglishpronunciationcourse
@@Pronunciationwithemma Thanks for answering. yeah, it's really hard to explain in a comment. incidentally last night I saw your story on Instagram but I can not afford to become a member. Unfortunately, the reality is that my monthly income is entirely 300 pounds :)) Otherwise, there is no need to say how fond I am of your accent and the videos that you share.
@@Pronunciationwithemma Thank you! In France, teachers learn to their pupils to pronounce "z" instead of "th" because they don't want to waste time learning that pronounciation. What a mess, when you arrive in an English-speaking country for the first time, when you never have pronounced that sound of your life and people misunderstand what you say and you suddenly have to pronounce that sound.
I already had my struggled with French. Never again :) (but that wasn't because of the language, more because of problems with my previous teachers and the way I was taught).

hi julieta
I'd go with /əˈprəʊ.pri.ət/ (Cambridge Dictionary)
But it finishes with the spelling "ATE". Should it be pronounced as /IT/?
