@@CheckAG OY! my modem has shat…I have no internet with the stupid xfinity modem that I’ve had for several years…modems can’t be configured…as in they don’t have a wireless card or one can’t configure the software within them…”to fix them” to have the internet turn back on correct?
The only way to fix a modem that has gone bad is to double check the wiring and my wiring is good…the only other thing is replacing the modem correct?
Hotspot query - so if I have no internet…I don’t need WiFi to turn on the personal hotspot for the data to be shared/run on my W10 laptop correct?

I was having trouble with my laptop not requesting me to enter a password (just told me the connection failed) - so I changed my iPhone name and that sorted it - weird glitch I guess but so glad it worked! 👍🏻
How do you change your iPhone name

That’s on an iPhone 11. I just made a really subtle change to the name and it seemed to work.

My hotspot isn't showing up on the PC. In the past this would work and it would say 'iPhone' but idk what i've done and i can't seem to get it back. Please anyone help
Fix: you need to be on the hotspot page on your iPhone whilst trying to connect it

For most needing this feature, we are connecting to our phone as a Mobile Hot Spot because our WiFi is not available. The first thing you did was to "make sure your phone is connected to WiFi setting is turned on". If I can connect my phone to my local WiFi then I would not need the computer to connect to the hotspot because I have WiFi already available. I also noticed your phone was connected to the WiFi at the beginning of the video and then was not on wifi toward the later half of the video. Great instructions and it works but having my phone connected to Wifi and laptop connected to the hotspot seems useless. Why not just have both devices connected to the Wifi that your phone was paired with.
