Great overview of your plans and thanks for the shout out. I highly doubt I will overtake you in painting Pike & Shotte. It took me months just to finish the one regiment for the English Civil War unboxing. Keep it up, my friend!
Taking on more than you really should? Relatable. There's probably a whole video about how wargamers stretching themselves thin is just one of the ways we mimic the mindset of the generals we emulate. "I just need to take this one more bridge/hill/ruleset, then I'll retrench!"
@@TheJoyofWargaming Well said. 😄 And I'm still the most reserved person around me. 😇 Mainly I bought too much before Corona and didn't do enough with it. (Exception: Epics.)
So many temptations, but so little time 😁. I can relate to what you are saying. My answer is not to think about it too much and simply enjoy the hobby. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
I think there’s a classic model of a Wargamer - who paints armies - plays in a club etc - not as thoughtful as active. I’d say look for the odd shortcut; supplement painting with figures you buy painted (heresy to some) and decide what your priorities are - doing all you do extensively would be hard and demanding on time. If I had one further point of advice it’s to glam up some of the terrain features - roads and rivers especially. The rules testing is a great strength.

@@WarGamingNewbHistorical And now that I'm painting the next Epic Regiment, I remember why they take so long. 😄
Thanks for watching. 👍🏻
Epic Thumbnail 👍
@@drixunterwegs Rather daring...😄👍🏻

@@theenigmaticgamer Thx. Order is half life, as we say in Germany. It's mostly the question where to start. 🙂 Then walk....eh.. paint.

@@stephens2895 I really suck at terrain building. The part of the hobby I neglect the most. 🙄
Thought my streets were a fancy, cheap solution. 😟
