I just bought Morrowind to see what all the fuss is about. Went looking for a bar, got lost. went looking for someone, got lost. I'm starting to get into it.
lol. Yeah, it can be hard to find what you're looking for sometimes, but I like the way the NPCs would actually give you directions. In Skyrim, they don't even tell you where you're going. If you turned off the quest markers, you'd have no idea where the game wanted you to go.
Be carefull with accepting to many quests. They are not ordered like in Skyrim, but just put chronological in your journal. This can make it hard to find which quests you still have active. (although there are probably mods that fix that)
Morrowind is love. Morrowind modders are still very active in the community so if any of you guys are up for it the original game still has allot to offer :)
That makes sense, i always name all the cats that frequently travel through my yard. I then forget their name a few months later and so i name them again. It's a fun minigame that gets more intense as i get older, i call it: catspotting.
Another great mod is Bonemold expanded. It adds new types of bonemold armor for each great house, a bonemold a tower shield and changes the texture of improved bonemold armor.
Honestly Brodual i've been following your channel for over a year now and i must say you have yet to bore me. You keep up to date and i absolutely love the mods you cover. Every mod i use i've gotten from one of your videos and i couldn't be more thankful. Here we are years after it's release and i still play the hell outa skyrim. Thank you :)
We should be able to wear clothes under armor like in Morrowind so that when we equip armor we will be wearing clothes and if you don't equip clothes and you unequip armor, you would be naked.
Brian Boardwell seems like it actually was updated, it's here www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/39591/? It doesn't look that great, but it does what you asked for with robes and armor
They were. However, they first appeared in Morrowind as some of the more powerful daedra. They then reappeared in the Shivering Isles along side the Dark Seducers. vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/elderscrolls/images/a/a4/Golden_Saint_MW.png/revision/latest?cb=20121122185437
Thanks for showcasing these. I'm an old gamer whose first steps into Tamriel were in Daggerfall, but Morrowind was where i lost my gaming heart & realized I was hooked on TES. The one aspect of previous games I wish someone would incorporate into a mod for Skyrim would be the heart of gold subcurrents of Morrowind & Oblivion, where the player could aid the Twin Lamps or help the poor as part of the Thieve's Guild. If anyone knows of mods like these, please point them out to me. Thanks again.
I so hope Bethesda has created a new engine that takes note of what the modding community has done. And they take notes about how to handle loot as well. I don't know of any other game that is as heavily modded; As to almost make it entirely a new game; Than Skyrim.
Morrowloot is so much nicer than Skyrim's system. It never made any sense to me how random bandits had Glass which is supposed to be really high end and rare/expensive. How do a bunch of jobber bandits have it?
Ben Dover I hope TES6 doesn't take the bad aspects of FO4. Especially a fucking voice protagonist. A Khajiit character would sound drastically different compared to something like a Dark Elf. Also if you make a voice protagonist you better know how to write, which Bethesda can't write for shit.
Was just sitting back watching it not expecting to really download many then even better quest objectives came up and I immediately got out of bed and started up my pc
I'm salty at myself because i can't play morrowind no matter how much i try to. I first played Skyrim, then, with a big struggle to adapt, i played Oblivion, but Morrowind is too dated for me, i really wish i had the patience :/
I played with character creation overhaul and it has some advantages, but also it has some problems - skills with low level advance quickly giving levels easily. Primary skills are very high so quick perk progress is possible. Morrowloot also has more advanced versions like Morrowloot Ultimate as I recall - removes leveled high tier equipment to match what you see in Skyrim - minimal quantity of ebony, glass or daedric equipment and more :) But still at some point "empty" treasure chests get boring.
I don't know why but the quest objectives mod stood out for me- definitely something I will try in my next playthrough. Interested to see if it really is possible to break the reliance on quest markers and lazy A to B running.
Whats funny is that even though these mods are Morrowind themed, some of them look like they add to the immersion in Skyrim, especially Jaxonz Real Names, Morrowloot and the Morrowind Armor Compilation. But heck, I'm downloading all these mods anyway.
While I was replaying Oblivion last week, I had a thought. "Why didn't they bother to put randomly generated rare items in caves and dungeons like this?" Morrowloot looks like it basically fills that desire, but for Skyrim. Nice to feel like there's a purpose to go exploring, instead of just doing it because you're bored.
0:20 - I thought I was the only one that had that weird transparency issue with certain hair sets. Anyone know how to fix that? This was an issue I first discovered after installing my GTX 980 card. Never had this problem with my old GTX 760.
I agree, one way to fix that is going into your gameplay settings and setting the difficulty to either 'master' or 'legendary' makes the game a lot harder. It's not for everyone but I enjoy not being able to steamroll over everything at level 4.
Agree with Ravengaming. The SE release seems to have overhauled the damage multipliers for the higher tier difficulty settings. The highest difficulty setting on the original release was still a laughable experience by roughly level 15. Currently level 20 on Skryim SE as a melee character, still getting 1-2 shot killed by a lot of my level enemies. If feels so much better than 'spam attack for a few seconds to pick up loot'.
Exactly, I love actually having to use strategy to win a fight because I keep getting killed. I had a hagraven 2 shot me with fireball like 20 times lmao
LondonLock I just miss the thrusting and overheads, if I get a spear mod for skyrim it just looks weird because he swings it like a greatsword when it should be thrusted
These mods, sadly, will probably going to be a pc exclusive. They took a long time to make so if the author doesn't want to make a new one, there will only be the pc version. Also, due to xbox and ps4 hardware, they most likely cant handle these types of mods. All we can do is hope.
Anyone know what happened to the Morrowind overhaul for the main menu and music from Morrowind at the main menu and all the fonts for the huds and stuff was pretty cool It was like a all in one If I remember correctly and I paired it with the old soul gems or potion look as well
Here's some more Morrowind mods Morrowind-Like Soul Gems: www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30348/? Oblivion and Morrowind Soundtrack: www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30568/? Why do Bethesda do the map marker thing? It defeats the whole purpose of these big worlds they create as you're just staring at the compass. "Oh but people wouldn't know where to go." Then you've designed it badly. Use NPCs and the world design to explain things, not map markers. It's pretty basic, most RPGs from the 90s did it 10x better FFS.
I think it's the addition of fully voiced NPC's and the radiant system. Having the NPC describing precisely where the objective is, like in Morrowind, would add hours of dialogue to be voiced. The fact that all of you actually argue about this is funny DOES IT REALLY MATTER No matter what you won't change people's decisions, and no matter what mods will be made for whichever doesn't exist, if you hate the compass so much just download the fucking mod he literally talked about
Mikuo Hatsune Way ahead of you, this game *needs* to be heavily modified. Kind of a slippery slope though, no? Oh who cares about all these glaring issues, there's a mod for it! 10/10, Bethesda, keep doing the same thing, the modding community will just fix your games.
I love morrowloot I was using alternate start to roleplay a light armor alikr, bet the mine in the reach with the draugr, got a frigging dragonbone helmet called wrath that decreased destruction magic cost well, fuck light armor
hello.. can anyone help me about this.. I've enter the battle of solitude at the basement of my house4 in solitude then the war started.. after the war the castle of solitude still not there in the map and also i cant pass my quest in the dark brotherhood because it says that the war in solitude sitll not finish.. is there anyone knows how to fix it? appreciate a lot.. but now im a lot further in my quest..
UC3DaddyDirection In that video I recall them saying they don't use an ENB, but something similar. Either way, this looks different from normal. Maybe I'm just an idiot but meh.

>Loot will be found in places that make sense
>Boots in a bucket
ok
seems legit
Where else do you keep your boots?
not a bad idea really, if your often working around mud just keep your boots in a bucket to not stain the floor of your house
it got 100+ blinding so you gotto hide them from sight.. hehe...
m... maybe he was making some wine...
I just bought Morrowind to see what all the fuss is about.

+TheZeroNeonix wtf are u on about they give shit for dirctions that bitch with the mudcrabs for example
Sufnsk Anne
yeah, but I don't know the name of the streets and rivers yet.
Dont worry games fun and a few good cast members just the dirctions are garbage and they dont help at all
Be carefull with accepting to many quests.
I wish oblivion modders were that active
You watch the RUclips channel Morrowind Modding Showcases?
Yes I do :)
Ben Dover Oblivion also still gets a good amount of mods for a game that old.
Sorry to break it to you but Morrowind modding is pretty dead, sure there's still mods made here and there but compared to newer games?
brodual is the type of guy to have the option to have a lightsaber or a dagger and picks the dagger
plot twist: The dagger is actually a daedric artifact that one hits everything.
Mehrune's dagger?
Ah yes, that's the one.
I M M E R S I O N
Well, It's definitely not "useless"...
Hey look guys, a mod reviewer that doesn't use clickbait porn thumbnails.
Tamriel is at peace.
Yeah clickbait is so annoying.
i fucking hate that douche.
Gage Godwin What guy?
Vincent Macary mxr mods or some shit
IT'S HIM Yeah the clickbait is annoying but he actually has some good videos.
Maybe the Dragonborn is lonely and gives people names?
+Jacob Knight lol
Brother knight, i finally found you.
😂👌
That makes sense, i always name all the cats that frequently travel through my yard. I then forget their name a few months later and so i name them again. It's a fun minigame that gets more intense as i get older, i call it: catspotting.
schizo dragonborn
I always get the chills when I hear the Morrowind theme because it's so good, and I get so nostalgic.
I can't wait to download Skyrim Nostalgia mods for the next Elder Scrolls game years after it comes out
Another great mod is Bonemold expanded.
These "Nostalgia" videos are some of my favorite Brodual videos. Maybe a Daggerfall one is needed?
That would be a good idea
Bonemold Expanded is a must have for any Bonemold armor fan, adds the different types of bonemold armor from the Great Houses.
We should be able to wear clothes under armor like in Morrowind so that when we equip armor we will be wearing clothes and if you don't equip clothes and you unequip armor, you would be naked.
I just want my NPCs to stop running around half naked (hide armor or fur armor variants). We are in Skyrim goddamnit!
There was a mod for that but I guess it's outdated now
Lavos YT How is it outdated?
Brian Boardwell seems like it actually was updated, it's here
www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/39591/?
It doesn't look that great, but it does what you asked for with robes and armor
All must see the Dovakiins mighty genitals
do a mod list, your game looksgreat
I second this
He did
They did before...
+Ike Wasweissich i meant an updated one
Where i can find it?
Morrowind nostalgia? Where are the golden saints?
I need my glass weapon wielding golden waifu!
I thought Golden Saints were from the Shivering Isles
Keegan Ball
In Morrowind they were actual monster and able to summon with conjuration skill
They were. However, they first appeared in Morrowind as some of the more
powerful daedra. They then reappeared in the Shivering Isles along side
the Dark Seducers.
vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/elderscrolls/images/a/a4/Golden_Saint_MW.png/revision/latest?cb=20121122185437
so, did i win?
Winged twilights are better imo :3
Thanks for showcasing these. I'm an old gamer whose first steps into Tamriel were in Daggerfall, but Morrowind was where i lost my gaming heart & realized I was hooked on TES.

Morrowind was so FUCKING AWESOME!
Was?
it still is
your like the only skyrim channel left.
i love you
Bringing back some good memories there mate. Keep em coming!
the second i saw pauldrons, i kind of lost my mind. That was one of my favorite armor apparel in Morrowind.
I'd love to see the robes from Morrowind added to Skyrim. Those were way nicer than the robes that are offered in skyrim.
I so hope Bethesda has created a new engine that takes note of what the modding community has done. And they take notes about how to handle loot as well. I don't know of any other game that is as heavily modded; As to almost make it entirely a new game; Than Skyrim.
obsleet minecraft?
Ah, this brings back so many amazing memories. Gotta love Morrowind.
The best reviewer out there. No clickbait, no bullshit.
Thank you for putting the Shed your Tails Soundtrack in your Video! Keep it up
rly ... thank you! its so beautiful
Morrowloot is so much nicer than Skyrim's system. It never made any sense to me how random bandits had Glass which is supposed to be really high end and rare/expensive. How do a bunch of jobber bandits have it?
Probably by robbing!
they robbed the idiot who thought the armor made him invulnerable 😀
I bet TES6 will have a fallout 4 type looting system lol
+Major Dakka Then we come along and do same to them, lol.

4:20 in the font while looking at the daredric boots. it say's hEAVY ARMOR" the H is not capitalized?
I'm salty at myself because i can't play morrowind no matter how much i try to. I first played Skyrim, then, with a big struggle to adapt, i played Oblivion, but Morrowind is too dated for me, i really wish i had the patience :/
I've never had the chance to play it with the respect for the elder scrolls series. I played it a little bit for the original Xbox a LONG time ago lol
That's why SkyWind is being made.
Get MGSO (it updates the graphics so it looks modern)
But doesn't fix the combat.
+Psychotic Ninja fear not, there(s) mods for that, too! Trust me, the Morrowind modding community is very active.
Yo, we need one for Oblivion too!
Didn't they make Skyblivion?
lol, a "Potato faces" and "Bloom" mods for Skyrim :D
I was about to say "Oblivion isn't that old" and then I realised it came out 10 years ago. Fuck.
Done
Yes, I am hyped for where are they now.
I like Disparity more than the Character Creation Overhaul. They both do generally the same thing, but Disparity also adds the old attributes.
The Morrowind Immersion Project is the first mod I think of if I were to think of Morrowind inspired mods.
What is the name of the mod at 3:10 which shows health bar above the enemies instead of at the top of the screen?
PrivateEye's Artifacts also is included in Legacy of the Dragonborn, for anyone interested.
What we really need is a Morrowind inspired combat mod - bring back that good old combat system
Yes.. can't wait for Morrowloot Ultimate. One of my favorite mods.
Get well soon
I've never played morrowind but boy all that stuff really is exciting , someday i'll take a look at morrowind just because of this video.
I would love a mod like Morrowind font to come out on xbox one for the special edtition . Hopefully , that's possible.
can someone tell me the mod he uses to upgrade the npc faces, make them look more hd?
nihulisandowner SkySight Skins I believe :)
Brodual, your ENB is stunning, which one is it?!?!?!? PLEASE.
It's in their channel info.
that is out of date.
tetrachromatic enb
They should link to a document in the description of every video that lists their graphical setup.
You should do an in depth coverage of skywind
I wish I loved Morrowind as much as I should. It was the second ES game I played and the first one I played was Arena.
While I was replaying Oblivion last week, I had a thought. "Why didn't they bother to put randomly generated rare items in caves and dungeons like this?"
Morrowloot looks like it basically fills that desire, but for Skyrim. Nice to feel like there's a purpose to go exploring, instead of just doing it because you're bored.
Damn this makes the game even better but the sad part is the video is only 6 mins long :( but atleast brodaul keeps uploading skyrim content
guys, what is the mod Broduel is using at 3:27 the one which displays the item, it's stats, and its enchants when you hover over it? +Broduel
0:20 - I thought I was the only one that had that weird transparency issue with certain hair sets. Anyone know how to fix that? This was an issue I first discovered after installing my GTX 980 card. Never had this problem with my old GTX 760.
Three words... Moon and Star... That mod was absolutely Phenomenal, though it is about an hour long
What mod makes the Ebony and Daedric armour from 4:03 - 4:11 look so HD and good? is that just a basic ENB or what?
Any mod to get morrowind style combat like being able to miss
I feel way to OP in skyrim
I agree, one way to fix that is going into your gameplay settings and setting the difficulty to either 'master' or 'legendary' makes the game a lot harder. It's not for everyone but I enjoy not being able to steamroll over everything at level 4.

Hag's End >
LondonLock I just miss the thrusting and overheads, if I get a spear mod for skyrim it just looks weird because he swings it like a greatsword when it should be thrusted
Been a while since I've watched a skyrim vid from this channel. Now I have to figure out how you got your game to look like that
WE NEED A NEW UPDATED MOD LIST VIDEO BECAUSE YOUR SKYRIM LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL
This mod set is the one that I want available on consoles when Skyrim Special Edition launches! Mixing Skyrim & Morrowind together on my Xbox One!
Thats right :D It would be so fckn epic
These mods, sadly, will probably going to be a pc exclusive. They took a long time to make so if the author doesn't want to make a new one, there will only be the pc version. Also, due to xbox and ps4 hardware, they most likely cant handle these types of mods. All we can do is hope.
If they require skse, then it is an impossibility.
4:18 whats the mod that hes using that allows him to see the weight and armor count??? I want it
Mod list you game looks good.
Anyone know what happened to the Morrowind overhaul for the main menu and music from Morrowind at the main menu and all the fonts for the huds and stuff was pretty cool It was like a all in one If I remember correctly and I paired it with the old soul gems or potion look as well
Great video Brodual, favorited.
I really miss the class system. It's one of the changes I liked least in Skyrim.
That blue glass armor looks sick 5:00
Please i need help some mods that i want to install does not work the NMM(Nexus Mod Manager) says it can be added can someone tell me what is wrong
why would you want the class system back? i hate choosing classes
do you guys have a new modlist video or is it still the same?
Ahhhhh the memory's!
What beautiful mods!
bonemold expanded adds the other types of bonemold armor to the game. very nice.
MINDBLOWN.
Here's some more Morrowind mods
Morrowind-Like Soul Gems: www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30348/?
Oblivion and Morrowind Soundtrack: www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30568/?
Red Mountain Erupts: www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/41561/?
and both immersive weapons and immersive armors have Morrowind things in them.
YASSSS! Morrowind! I had to buy the game again this week because i just love it!
Also, there's Skywind coming out!
No cliffracers? This was the morrowind experience.
I love the old class system
Brodual, can you please make a new updated mod list video? Your first person mod w/ the head bobbling, textures, ENB, grasses, distant LOD mods etc?
Skyrim is awesome, only one thing is missing - some multiplayer features
3:47
BOOTS OF BLINDING SPEED HYPE
For morrowloot cant you use the atronach forge to make daedric armour
Why do Bethesda do the map marker thing? It defeats the whole purpose of these big worlds they create as you're just staring at the compass. "Oh but people wouldn't know where to go." hello..
can anyone help me about this..
I've enter the battle of solitude at the basement of my house4 in solitude then the war started..

Installing a lot of these, thanks!
Seeing this video makes me wish Skywind was finished or at least available in beta.
Morrowind was the best ES imo, even though i only played it as a kid and didn't do the quests
what was the graphics mod theyre using in the video
i was wondering too
It's a ENB.
+CryoHades But which ENB :c
It should be the performance version of the Realistic preset for Project ENB. Check their "Our Mods" video for info on what they use.
UC3DaddyDirection In that video I recall them saying they don't use an ENB, but something similar. Either way, this looks different from normal. Maybe I'm just an idiot but meh.
Great video and mods thank you!
I do love a bit of Skyrim
Top notch video! Cheers
It looks like the parallax occlusion may be glitching out on your the ground textures
Fuck man.. That morrowind music hits me right in the emotions.
At 3:04, what mod did you use to get the enemy's health bar?
Floating healthbars
I know Im a bit late but a really good quest mod would be moon and star, you can get it on both pc and xbox
What armor is the nord wearing at 6:06?
That nostalgia tho.
how about a mod like, I think it was called Beast legs, or something along those lines, where it replaced khajiit and argonian legs with digitigrade ones, making khajiit and arognians look like they did back in morrowind.
Long live G2A!
I'm on console, and I can't find the one at 5:06, can someone help?
Now we need the oblivion mod edition to skyrim
I'd love the setting of TES6 to be unique. Oblivion was very medieval high fantasy and Skyrim was very Celtic-inspired, but Morrowind was pure creativity and more interesting because of it. Wherever they set the next game, I hope they leave room for that creativity again.
