It's obvious how much they enjoy each others company. Imagine how you'd look forward to going to "work" if you were a member of Nemophila? I think I smiled at work once.....
NEMOPHILA has my favorite guitarist SAKI. Favorite guitar duo HAZUKI and SAKI. Favorite drummer TAMU. Favorite vocalist MAYU. Favorite bassist Haraguchi-san. I could be a little biased. Thanks for your great reactions. 🤘👏
Nice! They have many great covers, but please check out more of their originals, i recommend《a ray of light》,《enten》,《game over》,《hozuki》,《rollin rollin》and many more🤘🏻🌸🤘🏻
I agree with you. It has its charm. I have learnt that there are some sounds that they don't have. For example, the letter R sounds more like an L or a D, and sometimes the F sounds more like an H. "So when they speak English and use words that start with H, like 'fate', it sounds more like 'hate'. That confused me a lot at first.
Great Cover. That mayu look over the shoiulder. That music was my thing when I grew up. Now I need a cover of Slade, The Sweet or even (not) The Bay City Rollers.
Very early in Nemophila, Tamu and Haraguchi-san became known as “The Laughing Thunder” due to their constant back and forth smile/giggle sessions.😄💪🏻👍🏻
thanks so much to appreciate them so much. this band is so amazing. one reaction is missing still: their cover of x japans "kurenai" X JAPAN / 紅(KURENAI) English Version from their channel. they all shine in that one, especially tamu (who gives all she´s got). do not miss. I believe, with that song a session band turned into nemophila. and another supergroup od female japanese metal musicians, you shouldn´t miss: "East of Eden" with "Evolve". for me a candidate for song of the year.
You got it! Just remember for the vocalist your first attempt is the best. It is sort of like My-U, not, “hold the mayo” (mayonnaise). I don’t speak Japanese, so that’s just from listening to them speak to each other. Tamu’s smile is definitely infectious. I second the Kurenai reaction request. Sided note: on your list I’m definitely looking forward to East of Eden reaction on Evolve when you get to it. There’s only a few hours left to preorder an autographed copy of their first CD/DVD/BVD on Victor store. Additionally, Nemophila will be releasing DVD/BVD’s of two different concerts around January 2024.
The positioning of Hazuki and SAKI is very clear in studio (and live - as the 'default' starting position since they do roam around anywhere they want on stage) and from our POV, Hazuki on the left, SAKI is right - this also applies on the their studio tracks while not watching the video so that you know who is doing what especially solos since on stereo, Hazuki guitar on left channel and SAKI's on right channel. Also after learning their name, the writing styles of mayu (all small caps) and SAKI (all capital letters) name is specific in that letter styling.
Thank you for always giving us the best reactions! Mayu's vocals are really something special. By the way, I don't know if you are familiar with the Japanese band X JAPAN, but NEMOPHILA has covered their song "KURENAI". I guarantee that the cover will take you to the ultimate happy place, so check it out if you have time. You can see drummer TAM's two feet on fire as she takes on the triathlon. lol Thanks!🇯🇵
@@michelm.6033 The only cover that all of NEMOPHILA did together was the English version, right? Oh, are you perhaps talking about the original X JAPAN song?
@@SidHudgens I’ve only watched the video titled Kurenai English version. I presume there might be a Japanese version somewhere. I’ve also read other comments previously of a Japanese version being better than the English, but that was probably from a different song. I’m really lacking knowledge on this topic. However, your question must mean the one titled English version is fine. Thx
Hi again. You're very well on the right track with their names. The bassist is called Haraguchi-san, so equivalent to "Mrs. Haraguchi". Haraguchi also is a family name, thus I believe her first name is not known to the public. The lead singer's name is pronounced "MAH-yu", not "MEY-yu" (capital letters not for emphasis but to distinguish pronounciation here). Again, let me remind you of also checking out the Japanese all-female Steampunk-sytel metal band Fate Gear with songs like "Headless Goddess", "Unbreakable Wings", "Megabulltes" and/or "Lunatic-faced" (of the last one, a.f.a.i.k. there is no official music video, but IMHO it's one of their best songs...) Have a nice day and keep on rockin' Greetings from Germany
If you want a happy, smiley, entertaining drummer then you only need to remember one name JUNNA she does originals and covers, seeing as your a huge Metallica fan you might want to check her drum cover of Lux Æterna, she also covers Dragon Force - Through the fire and flames, Judas priest, Queen, canon rock cover is excellent as 13million+ views shows.
Hi I posted a comment about the pronounciation of Hazuki's name earlier with a link to a video in YT sadly it wouldn't post?? so here is the comment again with out the link. If you search the title in perenthisies you will find it.. Best wishes.. Great reaction .. "part one of the Band members connection before the Mayu session band". Every one says Hazuki as it is spelt, but on all the video's I've seen it is pronounced "Has-ki". I still haven't seen Part 2? If any one reading this has, please post a link to it, I would love to see it.. Hope this helps with the pronounciation for you. Best wishes from France
I know what you mean. I’ve seen her band mates and even Li-SA-X pronounce Hazuki’s name both ways. Since I don’t speak Japanese, I’ve always wondered if Has-ki was an informal version of Hazuki, similar to Mike and Michael. It is probably just the language differences similar to Michael and Michel. I’m sure I could find videos of both ways. I wish I knew what was correct to be respectful. I’d be also be interested if anyone knows. I might direct message a huge Japanese fan of Nemophila to ask.
@@michelm.6033 That would be a great idea.. At least then we would both know.. Please comment here if the person gets back to you and let us know.. Best wishes
@@grantnealon5101 This might be a little long, but here are a few videos for background, then an answer. My links don’t post so you may search the title and time stamp 1. Nemophila - Live at Whiskey a Go Go | My mom enjoyed it | Shreddawg. At 18:10 Mayu clearly introduces Hazuki as Has-Ki 2. Koiai Instagram Live [Archive for March 3, 2023] - Reflections on the India Tour. At 0:17 Li-SA-X states Ha-Zuki fairly clearly. Likewise at 3:18 Kotono states Ha-Zuki fairly clearly. This is also a great video. 3. [NEMOPHILA] #3. (Note it’s a live stream). At 4:37. Hazuki pronounces her name closer to Ha-Zuki. 4. [NEMOPHILA] #4. (Another live stream). At 0:25 Hazuki again pronounces her name closer to Ha-Zuki. I was unsure if the Japanese Nemophila fan could read English, or used google translate like me. Therefore, I asked an elder Japanese fan of another band, that knows English. His answer was “Ha Zu Ki”. He wrote it in Kanji, then Hiragana, or perhaps Katakana (I’m not sure which). He went on to translate the Kanji meaning, but I’ll leave that for another time. As stated above, I’ve heard it both ways, but the Has-Ki was normally in a shouting live performance introduction. I’ve also heard Mayu simply call her Zuki, but that appeared to be in a very familiar, or friendly way. Someday I will ask Hazuki, but she of course doesn’t direct message strangers like me. Perhaps in the future.
@@michelm.6033 Ah thanks man this is very kind of you, a few I haven't seen and yes, I have heard the 2 versions but more of the Haz ki, However, now with these you have leveled up my tally to 50/50 and a new one Zuki Lol. so when she comes to France "Fingers crossed" I will ask her then message you.. Unless you get to ask her first, in which case you can tell me Lol. Again, thank you very much for your time, have a great Sunday.. Best wishes.

Just call the bass player "Hara-chan" which is what the band use. Mayu is pronounced "Mye-oo"
