You can genuinely tell he really cares for the minks he has
@@Aleks-no2oo Oh, yeah. You see more in depth stuff on his club and all his pets are all set up with their enclosures and areas as well at attention for each. It's really nice to see. He's one of the best pet owners I've seen. And for context, I'm a big slitckler for proper pet care. Lol.
That was funny Spark scaring the lawn mowers.
Dang 2 days ago
My Exclusive Club get my videos anywhere from a couple days early to a couple months early, depending on the particular video and what other videos I'm working on at the moment.
Been a while since I last watched anything from this channel... DAMN Bindy looks big and strong now... you can really see she's a pitbull! I still remember when she was still a tiny shaky little pup.
Friendly to human, merceless to prey. Good trained and gentle.
no, probably just joseph lol
If only they knew how lucky they are to be in your captivity. The best circumstances that life could give them.
These animals are truly blessed. I'm sure they actually do know.
Thats so clever. You really put so much thought into how your animals think while training them
Awesome examples of the affection you hold for your mink.. Loved it!!!
I love how you train your mink, it really is fascinating!
Glad you enjoy it!
Spark looks to be a great addition to your Mink Squad! LOL I got a bit worried when I saw his large teeth next to your nose! You are probably playing with him the way he would have played with his littermates in the wild, so he's developing as naturally as possible - the Mink Man Way! Bindi never ceases to amaze: just brilliant! Thanks for posting Joe!
It's like you're breeding a bunch of furry gladiators.
1:42 Sherlock deflecting that muskrat was epic
Dam look at them Noodle Missles
It's amazing to see the bond they have with you.
Joe you spoke of Sherlock in the past tense…has he passed
No, Sherlock is just fine. I don't know why I used past tense LOL
@@JosephCartertheMinkMan I know my heart fell thinking he had passed away phew glad he is okay . Love Anita
One for the algorithm. Thank you for sharing Joe.
Looks like a promising prospect you got there, Joe.
Crazy how you trained these minx from South Africa working with wildlife and worked with semi tame mongoose which is similar to minx and boy are they feysty and they can bite I've felt it ... Well done my man.
What a great vid of a guy and his mink !!! Spark is looking like he has great potential.
Cutest photo yet on this channel
Well done Spark in cashing that first rat. Joe you are doing a wonderful job in training spark and all minks and dogs. Joe do you still have Sherlock. Sending love to all the family, Spark all minks and dogs. From, Jacqui, Perth, Western Australia.❤❤
Thanks! Yes I do, Sherlock is doing great 😊
Oh good, you spoke in past tense and I was worried.
Such a cute little buddy. Makes me wish my younger ferret that we loss to a rapid onset illness the vets weren't able to catch and treat in time. Then the loss of him caused one of my 8 year old ferrets pass, probably of heartache. I have one more 7-8 year old ferret remaining they we spoil for as long as we have him.
I’ve watched a lot of your videos. I’m still at the start before the dog appear. Point is he is so friendly with you…I haven’t seen the personal interaction with other minks. Looking forward to seeing bindi
was great to see a different side to the Minkman.
You cracked the code 😂you’ll have mink bringing back every rat in no time
Nice videos.
That’s good to hear. Unfortunately our animals don’t live as long as we’d like. You’ve lost some that I really had a healthy respect for, such intelligent creatures and full of love.
That is such a cute mink .
I can’t get enough of this! I tell everyone about the guy who uses minks to hunt rats. I love the psychology behind it, and your natural ability to read them and get them to do what you want. Amazing!
Have you often seen mink big as Ben or was he rare? That guy was gigantic.
Yeah, I've seen bigger actually. He was a big boy, but not my biggest.
Hi Joseph it's been a while since I watched content again nice to see this little one being trained. I got to catch up on the old videos! 😮
Looks like Mr. Spark wanted to chase the sheeps
Quite an energetic little sprite!
Beautiful
I love all of your videos!
I know the Minkman says "don't mistake these for ferrets", and I certainly don't, but dang if it doesn't bring back memories of growing up with free-range ferrets and playing with them just like he does here with his mink
Really enjoy watching you play with your mink! Reminds me of how I play with my rat terrier!
Nice, in the UK we hunt with ferrets and polecats
Sherlock is so cool
Joseph Carter the Mink Man and Father and Mother and everything...
Have you ever forgot you had a rat in your jacket? And then put your jacket in the washing machine 😂
Yes
@@JosephCartertheMinkMan I'm from New Zealand and run bull cattle greyhound mix dogs that we line breed for catch wild boars in the black berry's. I wish I could get you a young dog over there, they are very smart and very hard 👍 really love watching your stuff.
@@JosephCartertheMinkMan lol that is hilarious Joe . My youngest son oh my I had too always check his pockets before they went into the wash . Yuck nothing worse than sticking your hand into a pocket full of mushy worms or whatever was in there . 🤣🤣🤑
@@JosephCartertheMinkMan😂😂😂😂
I will never get tired of watching how much care and devotion you put into your animals 🤍. It's so beautiful and inspiring to see. They look so healthy and have their natural needs perfectly met 👌.
I am curious though: did you find a reliable vet who can take care of them in case they become ill? I am guessing that not every veterinarian is familiar with minks and wildlife healthcare in general?
The ultimate fight: 100 lbs mink vs 100 lbs honey badger.
14:43
"No dad, i dun wanna be cubbled"
Can you teach your minks how to solve a Rubik's cube?
Fantastic.
You should go to New York with your minks and dogs. They will set a world record
tnx for the video
I wish they were easier to have as a pet. I live in an apt. Lol
They are sooooo cute!
Joe is the Marlin Perkins of minks
Today on "What is in Joe's pocket?" is it: a) a rat b) a large orange feral goldfish c) a family of baby quail d) a live crawdad e) a litter of baby mink?
😂😂😂😂
😂
Theres simply no telling!! Spin the wheel and take a guess!
History shows that PitBulls were in fight contests as well as Rat Pit contests. Where the Pit Bull would have to kill as many rats as possible in a pit given an amount of time.
Thank you for making this, I found it fascinating. It was particularly interesting to learn the specifics of shaping the mink's caching behavior. I was a little surprised Spark doesn't nip you at all when you're handling him (was it Sherlock that nipped at anything that moved, including your hand?). Spark seems to be a very calm animal but maybe that will change as he matures (as you noted). Is it correct that Spark only bonds closely with one care-giver (you, in this case) and is indifferent/stand-offish towards all other people, like he is to dogs & sheep? By the way, this is a well-produced video, too, it's clear you've been doing this quite a while now.
Did Sherlock die? That's unfortunate if so. Do you have a mink graveyard on your property or do you cremate them or something else?
No, Sherlock is just fine. I don't know why I used past tense LOL
Do the rats in your pockets ever make it through the washing machine and into the dryer?
It's so weird to see my name connected to a RUclips channel. Trips me up every time it suggests a video.
Do you have any plans of getting a new dog to replace tag? Possibly another Lurcher mix?
Probably not another lurcher. I need to do a video explaining my plans on my next pup. I'll try to get together soon.
Minks have awesome homes❤ what about the dogs? Do they live outside or do they stay inside?
Looks like he is going to be a big boy
I'm really curious about the pros and cons of using mink compared to ferrets - it seems like ferrets can do the same sort of job and might be easier to handle because they're domesticated. Have you ever worked with ferrets?
You really funny
I love your videos, been watching for years. Do you Place your mink. with people?Or how do you deal with the ones that don't hunt well for you? I own a tannery in oregon and I have a rabbit tree as well, so i'm not opposed to culling. I'm just curious what you do.
I place them with people who want to try hunting or fishing with a mink.
👍
Will mink climb up into trees to get gray squirrels?
Yes, sometimes. But they can't climb near as good as squirrels can.
Learning about the training is so interesting. Great content!
😊
Do minks ever show affection to you? Or are they too much of solitary animals to really demonstrate that
Yes, some of the ones I bottle raised do
@@JosephCartertheMinkMan that’s really sweet. What ways do they show affection? Is it similar to ferrets?? (Love you mink man, keep it up!!)
Can you explain the type of mink that is available in Indonesia, because the color is the same as the one you have but the size is smaller
Can you imagine millions of Minsk being held in small cages for their fur? Such intelligent animals, thriving with energy. Caged up for life.
I’ve got a Mindy but i need a mink. I have plenty of rats. Help
🥰 ✌️
Is there any way possible
Can u believe some people keep minks in deplorable conditions & then brutally murder them all 4 a coat, wh some people buy & wear. Deplorable.
Who checks your pockets on laundry day?
How many mink are you using and t raining
Why did you say Sherlock had?
No reason. Sherlock is doing great and we still have him.
Where do u get them
Is Sherlock gone???
Do you do this for a living?
How old is Spark?
I am still young and can't subscribe 😢
Squirrels? I love squirrels. Don't hunt squirrels. Squirrels are people too.
Even squirrels get out of hand...just ask Chico, CA....
@@RICDirector I live in NYC. I keep my bedroom window open and the squirrels climb up the fire escape and jump through my window and onto my bed in my bedroom every day. I have names for all of them. I give them nuts of all kinds and they trust me.People have to understand that they aren't dogs or cats. They initially think your fingers are food but once they get to know you, they won't bite. They don't have rabies and they are super clean,. They smell like a stuffed plush toy from the dry cleaners. They each have their own remarkable personality and I've learned so much about life from watching them. I've been through good times and tragedy with my beloved squirrels. I love squirrels.
using your dog to instill that he need to protect his catch is smart wow
A girl comes to see Joe and she says is that a Dead Stiff Rat in your pocket or are you just glad to see me ?? 🦡🦡🤣🤣 LOL Cool Video Joe !!
