i just installed these on a 2017 Ram 1500, i followed the instructions exactly for the first one, the second one went much much easier by doing a few things different, I routed the line down the spring from top and out the bottom where i would insert the air bladder , i attached the air line and clamp first then folded the bladder per instructions , i then compressed it tighter and put wire/zip ties around it to hold it folded tight. It slipped in pretty easily and once in place i cut the wire ties and it inflated into place. remember to put the spacer pad on first too. This was was much easier than trying to attach the line and clamp on top of the spring. I did not have to remove the tire but nearly did so on the first one , it was a bear getting that line and clamp on , i had to loosen some wheel well mud guard. Second one my way was a piece of cake. I put the filler /schrader valves next to the license tag as this was thick plastic and not drilling through metal body parts.
@@prestonlawhorne6500 not sure how you mean..if you mean before install i just compressed them and capped the air line , if you mean after the install when inflated, you bleed the air out of the schrader valve like on a tire the weight of the vehicle pushes the air out, but you have to deflate at the valve.
Could not get them into the hot dog shape like the video, so it made it more difficult. I used the handle of a hammer and handle of a breaker bar. Remove the wheel. So much easier. Got one in before I started to get poured on. Will try soaping the other up like someone said earlier.
Well. Not too bad to install via video tutorial. However I would take the time to remove the springs. The white creases that were showing concerns me that those are now weak spots. Soaping them up was easy to slide them into the spring but made it hard to run it up inside. Running the lines was okay, more zip ties would be fantastic! They're cheap!!! Lots of pinch points and sharp edges to stay away from. Somebody made a video running the lines tight to the bed and between cross members, problem is if you haul rock or something that could possibly dent the box, you could pinch those lines. So a bit of head scratching. The T was too tight for the lines to fit even after lubing, so I opted for two lines running out beside my license plate instead of one. We'll see how they hold up.
Wondering if these will work on the front coils or a 2015 as well... I have aftermarket equipment mounted and just wanna return the original factory ride height prior to the extra weight. I don't see any part # differences for front or rear coils...
I just got mine in the mail. Air lift 1000 for my 1993 Ford Aerostar van. I am nervous about trying the install. - any suggestions for my model? It's 2 wheel - rear wheel drive.
I have a 2017 jku and was curious if it matters if I where to run the air line out the top I feel it will keep the air lines a little more protected while be off road.
Some of our Air Lift 1000 applications require placing the air cylinder with the valve stem pointing down. However, for the RAM 1500 installation, the valve stem should point up as the air line is routed through a hole in the top of the spring seat.
@@matthewbohn765 geez my bad, I just wanted to do something unique Edit: I was also gonna use like spacers on top of the struts to lift the car up to allow room for the AWD system
Hi Tony, I'm sorry for the issue you've had with the bags. It is not normal for them to rip. We do have a lifetime warranty on our air springs and would be happy to send you a replacement. Give us a call at 800-248-0892 Option 2.
Don't recommend this kind of air spring. Sure it does the job when loaded, but destroys the ride quality when unloaded. Feels like you're hitting the bump stops when hitting speed bumps at any speed over crawling. That is when following the instructions and having the minimum pressure in the air bags, I got sick of them and threw them out from my Dodge Ram 1500.
@@Clamjammer I've had other trucks with airbags outside the springs, should mention they had leaf suspension. They do worsen the ride quality as well but not nearly as bad. I may have been unlucky but see if you can find the other variation of air bag if you can. Otherwise change to stiffer springs in the rear maybe, depends on how you use the truck.

Do you know how to let air out of the bags ?

took an hour in freezing cold...used today..worked perfectly and did as advertized
I used the zip tie method to keep the bags formed like a "hot dog bun". Worked like a charm.
Just finished my install. Great kit. But man getting those bags in the springs is a chore!!
Do you use your truck for towing?

Dang that looked super easy I think ill get a set of these
Great product

How did the airlift hold up?
Will these work on a 2018 Ram 1500 with a Rough Country 6" lift?

Check out Timbren bump stops , the ones that just replaces you bump stops , no cutting and no drilling just pop out the old and pop in the new .
Air is adjustable and you can alter pressure. Don't have to have it hard-knock a bump stop.
Bump stops have nothing to do with load leveling.

Hello. I am just asking you the measurements of the air coil 60818 1000? height width diameter thank you in advance.

How would you go about removing these if for some reason it leaks? Folding it won't be possible while it's in the spring? Thanks.

You can run the air lines where where you like
i need for Honda oddyssey 1999!
im from Utah!
Just got my 1000 kit and it didn't come with any clamps
anyone use these for towing a camper? not sure if I need to step up to the 5000 or not hoping someone else has tried
Don’t waste your money. Upgrade. It lasted one year
Tony H I don’t understand what you mean don’t move up or don’t get them at all
Why did you install them with the valve stem UP? Everyone I see is valve stem DOWN.
Some of our Air Lift 1000 applications require placing the air cylinder with the valve stem pointing down. However, for the RAM 1500 installation, the valve stem should point up as the air line is routed through a hole in the top of the spring seat.
I didn’t get all my stuff in a box like that. It all came loose.
will it increase height at the rear when empty?
It can depending on the amount of air in it.
Would you consider making a kit for a 1996 Honda Accord Sedan?
… why tf do you need to raise the rear of an accord?
@@matthewbohn765 dude I forgot about this comment lol, I actually wanted to do a AWD swap from a first gen CRV, that was before the car got stolen

It works well until the bags rips at the bottom were the tab is. I would upgrade. It lasted me one year life span is not there.

Can these be left filled for normal day driving ?
+Air Lift Company Could they be set for 35psi, and just left like this permanently and topped up if needed?
+Air Lift Company perfect. can't wait to get them installed next week.
I bought a dodge ram with these on it I dont tow so what psi should I ride around with anybody
Dylan .M google the model, it will have a max and minimum psi so you can use the minimum

Just deflate to 5psi when unweighted
