I won't lie, I always liked Roman as a person and even as a character. But like others, I hated how he was the new Cena and was pushed over tons of talent time and time again. But this segment goes to show that these wrestlers are human and face real life problems too. It showed how much he has gone through just to get to his dreams. I am no longer a Roman hater. I hope he makes it through this and is able to comeback to the WWE if that is his goal. This really was one of his best promos and probably one of the most powerful ones in WWE history. It seemed all genuine and from his heart. I think that was the Roman all the haters been wanting to see for years now.

And I do feel bad for always dismissing him for his limitations in the ring and on the mic, even though that's what WWE made him into. But to hear him speak from the heart as himself makes him so much more endearing. And amid this tragedy, he finally won the respect of the fans. The silence when he mentioned his leukemia was more deafening than any cheering or booing I've heard for him. You could have heard a pin drop. That was real. So Aesir and Vanir watch over Leati Joseph Anoaʻi, and everyone else suffering from cancer, and grant them the strength to overcome.

With characters, gimmicks and kayfabe aside, no man nor woman deserves cancer, and I pray to God that this man will win his battle with leukemia and come back even stronger than ever. I won't lie, I always liked Roman as a person and even as a character. But like others, I hated how he was the new Cena and was pushed over tons of talent time and time again. But this segment goes to show that these wrestlers are human and face real life problems too. It showed how much he has gone through just to get to his dreams. I am no longer a Roman hater. I hope he makes it through this and is able to comeback to the WWE if that is his goal. This really was one of his best promos and probably one of the most powerful ones in WWE history. It seemed all genuine and from his heart. I think that was the Roman all the haters been wanting to see for years now.

I've said some harsh things about Roman Reigns in the past, but cancer? That's just not fair. I've had family suffer through cancer, and lost some too, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
And I do feel bad for always dismissing him for his limitations in the ring and on the mic, even though that's what WWE made him into. But to hear him speak from the heart as himself makes him so much more endearing. And amid this tragedy, he finally won the respect of the fans. The silence when he mentioned his leukemia was more deafening than any cheering or booing I've heard for him. You could have heard a pin drop. That was real.
So Aesir and Vanir watch over Leati Joseph Anoaʻi, and everyone else suffering from cancer, and grant them the strength to overcome.
