What if you made a fitted caul for your wedge jigs and added some toggle clamps for down pressure on the caul? (I have a bad back and hate picking up cinder blocks).
I was in the piano and antique restoration business for 47 years its takes napth mineral spirits over nigh to dry out and in my opinion any type of white or yellow glue should not be used behind it in less than 8 yrs for maximum Bond

thank you Eric . if i may make a suggestion i use empty milk jugs filled with cement as weights . that way i do not mar the wood .
