yooo i love how random this video is compared to the rest of your channel i came for the live professor stayed for the kayak fishing, but please do more videos like this you were very informitave
I would love too I’m just not good with coming up with content ideas. But if people tell me what questions they have or practices they’d like to learn I’d definitely make them.
Hey man, first of all thanks a lot. I wasnt able to get LifeProfessor running with the USB inserts, (using M1 MCBPro) on the SQ5. Is there something special i have to think of? It was showing up in LP and i did a simple 1to1 routing. If you have the muse to make a tutorial it would be much appreciated, if not i totaly undertand. Thx again cheers
@@LiveSound710 hey buddy, thanks for the follow up , i was able to get it running , did a whole multitrack band running only with vsts. every instance of an insert ads 12 milliseconds to the chain. so having an insert on input and insert on the Masterbuss already gave me 24 millisconds RTP . messured with REW. it gets even worse when you put inserts on groups, off course. So basically not usable After some research , i figured out the lowest latency is achievable with RME dantedigiface and the SQ Dante card. Which runs you about 1900€ but then gets you realy low latency which is usable , even for monitoring. There is also a realy good stream from the guys at Allen Heath which also messured with wavebridge and other soundcards. Also unfortunatly, only using Dante Virtual Soundcard - Dante Card, the DVS is also running minimumof 4-5ms which also ads up of course if you use it on several stages of the signal chain. hope i could also add something to the conversation Curly
Thanks for this, I really wanted to learn how to do this and so desperate because I didn’t have large consoles like you guys do. But I do have my personal digital mixer, behringer flow 8 tried using input 1 (mono) and output it into stereo, i was so happy. I wish there will be a tutorial for anyone with the same mixer like I do that will hook up using the liveprofessor during live and see how it works whether smoothly or whatsoever. Thanks!
@@LiveSound710 You can only turn the volume up so far on a laptop. And even if I could, what if I forget about the stupid gain I had set for you? You're at -35dB YT loudness... What could happen with 35dB of excess gain in your opinion? What if I get a notification at that time? As audio professionals we should set the example. You're very far from standards and gaslighting. Thanks for the measurements anyway.
Need to up that gain on your speaking mic! It’s so low :-(
Great video! Thanks for testing it with a real-world setup.
I appreciate very much what you've done here, but kind of surprised, as an audio person, how unbelievably quiet your audio is.
Things happen, didn’t notice till after upload and didn’t care to redo it. Just turn it up.

You done well...something I was concerned about. Global delay set ups on SQ Waves card and Apollo 16 on plug in duties.
very good video. How do you add the delay? do you make a bus and insert the delay there? thank you

Is doing the same thing with Ableton Live resulting in even more Latency?
Yes more than likely abelton will be about the same or more.
Any thoughts on what the latency would be running Dante virtual sound card and a dante card in the sq?
It’s almost identical as DVs adds 4ms for each side of the trip then about another 4ms in processing.
Great stuff Robert!

Very very BAD audio bro. sorry.
Pretty sure you’ve got a volume knob. Just turn it up.
