My opinion on the 9R’s and 850 N/A’s is that it has all the power at once which is really good if you have some speed in the technical terrain. But the 850 Turbos it gives you the power you need when you need it most of the time

Those 9R’s are snappy! Can’t wait to throw a leg over one and see what I’ve been missing.

If you're thinking of buying, you might want to watch some of Muskoka Freerider content. The episode that is titled 3 broken sleds (I think) is the one I would watch first.

Actually its called "Adventure mission turned into a rescue mission"

Another to watch is "2 sleds one heli"

@@mitch6968 I’ve watched them. I’d rather have a clutch issue or failure over my chain case blowing up like all the Gen5 skidoos.
Polaris is up front and proactive on the issues, skidoo kept theirs pretty quiet this season and pissed a lot of people off.

Track length is also a factor tho in these races

The problem with the 9r is when they start breaking, which they will.. they are crazy expensive to fix and parts are impossible to find.

    Boost was on powder slush
    9r on hard pack
    Not a comparison

Yes exactly what a stupid race comparison!!! Must be there first times.

Thanks for commenting. We've had an all Polaris group in the mountains for the last 4 years and they've been very good to us.

Then you are the luckiest group of people on the planet as every year 75% of their sleds are on “DO NOT SELL” cause recalls. Even when you get them, they foul plugs until break in is over and the screen shuts off and restarts. They are junk

@@xGR1MxREAPERx recalls are not relevant to reliability, 15 years and 5 sleds all 800 155 rmk based sleds zero issues i didnt cause my self.

@@motorizedjunk6666 800’s are old. I am talking about their 850 reliability.. we also had a 900 explode last year too.. only 9800 for a new engine 😂😂😂.

Polaris gets lots of haters but the sledders around me have had very few problems, I wouldn’t touch any other brand
