Hi Brett, as great as always, great fun watching your clips! Question to your presets. I noticed with my FM3 and your presets that the 'drive' sets tend to sound quite harsh, scratchy with and metallic me. I am using either a fender tele american elite or an Orville Junior. Even if I use an headphone instead of my Dynaudio nearfield monitors it never has that smooth, round and warm sound of yours. Couldn't figure what makes the difference (letting alone my much lesser playing skills out here ;-)). Also is there any reason that you connect your FM3 via the presonus interface rather than directly to your DAW? Hope you will have a fantastic gig in Melbourne. Unfortunately quite a journey from deep south Bavaria in Germany ;-)
@@BrettKingman Hi Brett, thanks for the hint, yes it was the Wah block which was responsible. Didn't quite get why and couldn't help myself other than just taking in out, but it made the difference! Thanks a lot!
You sure you're not trying to install the Axe-FX III version into the FM3, Michael? I just did the install from Axe-Change and it's fine here. FW: 3.02.
@@BrettKingman I'm getting the same as Michael. Definitely using the FM3. When I import, it comes up as an preset. Not sure why. I used the same process with another preset just to see if it was a "user error" on my end. Even if it doesn't work, thanks for all the videos that you put up and it's great to see some parts of the world doing live shows again!
Hi Burgs .. interesting that a lot of players utilise the Cab Block Low Cut with their live presets with a 80 to 120 hz cut . Do u find youself introducing this depending on the room or stage setting ? Or with you using the CLR you find you dont need any Low cut and just apply some High cut .. Great vid , Thanks
Hey Brett, this is probably a very dumb question but it's sounding not as good tone wise coming out of my speakers. Your tone is killer though as I listen to your video. Is it because this patch is set for stereo and I'm running the axe into my apollo mono?
Yes, that's an easy one. You can also assign the switches with a 'hold' function to, say, bring up the tuner or turn on a compressor or drive, etc. Or, the switches can be configured to go to other 'layouts'. There's not much it cannot do.
Hey Brett, I have been following your awesomeness for quite some time. Which layout do you recommend me using for my FM3 and FC6 when I want 4 scenes and 4 Effects and the last switch being the tuner. I use a separate preset per song
Hey Brett...complete stupid question...but what are you running through? I am not sure I understand why some of the presets have the cabinet disabled, yet still sound REALLY good...are you just running the amp simulation through an actual cabinet in your room? Or are you running it to a FRFR speaker(s)?
Not at all a stupid question, Anthony. In this video I'm monitoring through some very clean, loud and accurate FRFR Atomic CLR's. You are hearing a duplicate of that sound through the FM3's S/PDIF output (to Logic via PreSonus Quantum). There is only one Scene (8) without the cab block on in this one which I'd hardly ever use as it gets lost with the bass and drums. It's great for recording though. So, on stage: 2 x FRFR wedges in stereo (NEXO's usually, or whatever's provided with the production). I would never run through an actual guitar cabinet because it would defeat the cabinet IR's in the Axe. That's why I go for full range, flat response (FRFR) wedges. CLRS are the best I've tried but nearly impossible to find in backline hire companies in Australia, unfortunately. Cheers.
As someone still trying to master my FM3 and presets, I've downloaded Bretts preset but it sounds tinny and sharp--what am I doing wrong? Or alternatively what do I need to do to 'soften" that tinniness or sharpness?
The wah is on auto-engage, Chris, and I'm guessing that is your problem (it's a common mistake). If you don't have an expression pedal or if you use yours in a different way to mine, it is likely on. You'll need to disengage the wah block or delete it if not being used.
Dear BOSS, Line6, ZOOM etc....... Hire this man to build your stock patches!!!!!!! Awesome tones Brett!!!!
Scene 5 the Morgan just nails it ! Control with the guitar’s volume is superb !
Brett...thanks for the preset demo. I downloaded this rig, and absolutely adore the Morgan AC20!! So good...great luck on your upcoming gigs!
Glad to see you have recovered from your chilli tasting. I was starting to get a bit worried.... Enjoy the show!
Haha. Thanks, Pete! I was back at it again the next day. Love that stuff.
Magic tones again Brett, have a great gig!
Your presets are the best I have found. I hope you don't start charging for them; but you really could. Cheers!
Agreed.
Nice one Burgs! Hope the gig was great.. St Kilda, Outdoors, Melbourne is BACK!
Your simply amazing sir brent
You've outdone yourself, great preset!! Love the AC20. You're right, you really could gig with just that. Excellent. 👍👍
That was super, Brett!
Glad to see that you recovered from the hot chilly pepper challenge :-) by the way ..thanks for the presets.
Thanks again Brett & Greetz from Belgium
Thanks Brett. I love these Videos and will enjoy trying this out. i might put a tape delay in for morgan AC 20 and see what that is like. Cheers
There you go. I hope it does the trick for you, Philip. Cheers!
Just great! Thanks a lot.

Is the Wah block on? I did point out the autoengage feature in the video.

Awesome mate. Try downloading even with new firmware for some reason nothing comes up it says no amp used when I try and import from my downloads

Looks like it’ll be a great music event. We’re not allowed to have such things in California, alas.

Does it means i can set it as button 1 - clean, button 2 - overdrive and button 3 for lead...?
