the original version is from fear and grace, demo version. second version is from breaking benjamin, the best version for the masses. this is the third version, to perfectize the music not the singing. all versions are made by the same person

What do you mean "no need"? A cover is the band's version of a song they like and respect. However, this one sounds way too much like the original and brings nothing new to it.
I'll agree with ya. But think about how many covers are already out there and what's the best things to do when you hit writers block? JAM OUT to your favorite songs! lol We have our own little studio. We have tons of originals we've recorded-some still in the works... but as producers, engineers, and musicians we wanted to recreate an awesome song and see how close we could get it. What better challenge to cover than "So Cold" by Breaking Benjamin? Right? So we recorded it... I think we did pretty good! lol But above all, it was a fun project and it's a kick ass song to play!!! :) -Bassist of Driven Astray
Mal Canada I agree it was a great cover and I see what your saying I just think it would have Bern more awesome if you had put your own flavor in it all bands have different styles and techniques don't be afraid to throw your own signature in it that's what keeps people listening none the less though seriously good job it was very very similar to the original please don't take this as bashing

The whole "no need" argument is pointless, you guys felt like taking a hit at another band's song that you like. It's always a good idea. I just think (and agree with Jacob) that you should have added more of your own flavor to it. It sounds too close to the original. Next time try taking a slightly different approach, while still using the parts of what makes the original so great. :) Kudos for the cover nontheless.

Though I also think it might be tough with songs like this, and end up as a hit or miss. For example, I hate when deathcore bands take songs and turn them all into growl-fests with no emotion to it. It's always a challenge taking up a song you like, that's a hit song. :)
pretty good but they copied the song note for note there was nothing to make it their own in it at all if you do a cover you wanna go above what they have already done if I wanted to hear the song note foe note I would've listened to the original
Big Ed Mustafa but still coming from a musicians standpoint it was boring there was nothing that set this cover apart from the original don't get me wrong the band is really talented and the vocalist has a great voice I'm just saying they should have done something even if it was a minor vocal pitch difference or a little extra in the solo to keep the listeners attention why listen to an exact replica when you couple just hear the original there's no I'll will in these comments just some constructive criticism and advicr
