Knife held up pretty good to the abuse. I like this 8cr13Mov steel! Seems to be very tough.
yes indeed, "cheap" steel, but tougher than most "super" steels!! Also the edge didn`t broke too much! This could be a steel for your next knife!!!!???!!
Yep, tough steel for sure.

A little.
Not much.
Byrd (Spyderco China) does amazing 8cr13MoV. Outperforms some of my higher end knives and refuses to break. The Cara Cara 2 is one of the best $35 knives you can buy they last forever.
Did very well, good to know that this brand makes decent budget knives!
not too bad for the price!!!
JOE X AKA World's #1 RUclipsr, could you please make videos for the Nedfoss Black Phoenix and Brave models. They need to go through the JOE X test.
thanks! i did some Nedfoss already, i dont buy them!
Wooow for this price !!! I need to think about new knife + its a Full Tang!! Amazing stuff.
Great test, thanks for video Boss
Respect ✌🔪
thanks, cool knife it is!!
Hey man, thank you so much, its really great, thanks thanks for your great tests, God bless you abudantly!!
thanks a lot!
This is really a cool knife 🗡️😎
yes it is!
Pretty amazing knife I bought a few days ago … now I saw your massive abuse test and I‘m even more impressed from this little, heavy gem!
With its bulky and riveted handle and the very thick back of the blade (like „Flachstahl“) it always reminds me on a typical butcher’s knife 😂
Now I know I will survive the next apocalypse! And I never saw you more satisfied with the result of your test, so I‘m satisfied too 😉🍻
yes, this nedfoss did maybe better than the BK2!!!
@@joex No new knife names any more, please … I have enough knives already 😂🍻
@@hightowerTB303 🤣🤣🤣
@@joex Ok, too late … You got me … 6,6 mm blade back thickness … now it‘s on my wishlist … maybe your test will keep me from buying … I will check 🍻
@@joex Oh wow! Didn’t expect that with the BK2! The price performance of the Nedfoss is outstanding! I think I will get 2 Nedfoos more for the same total price then of one BK2 and so I have 2 backups in case of apocalypse! 🍻
Love the torture tests on this channel. I always kina thought of these Ned Foss knives as a knock off of better more worthy knives for camp carry but I'm impressed by how long these can go before breaking, especially at the price point these knives are sold. Good heat treatment, wow. These last just as long as some of the name brand knifes do. I've seen a couple $150 Bushcraft knives break faster in some cases. Just proves you don't gain much by being a steel snob...
cool, this Nedofoss is also in my TOP 3 small Fixed Blades!!!
i dont get the hate for chinese knifes, this one did an amazing job:)
it did for sure!
When Joe continues smashing a knife even when it is broken in half you can be sure he likes the knife 😂
absolutely true!
A lot of Ned Foss knives are sold in the US. They're more expensive than the dirt cheap stainless steel knives, but they aren't that expensive. I've noticed the prices have been steadily increasing, perhaps because people realize they're pretty good knives. I have to admit, I was impressed at how well this knife held up, considering it's stainless steel and inexpensive.
yeah this one was the best so far, for the price, awesome!
This sound when it breaks…
Great review. Seem to be a good knife. Thanks 💪👍
for the price it is amazing!!!
Dieser Test ist absolut unnormal das Messer ist der absolute Wahnsinn und ich habs für 47 Euro gekauft ein Messer fürs Leben 👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪
ist ein gutes Teil!
I am impressed
8cr13mov also known as chinezium🤣. But it hold up surprisingly good for a cheap steel
ok, good to know, thanks, yes hold up pretty fantastic!!
Many low priced knives and machete's outlast expensive knives in hard use tests.
More money spent doesn't mean it's a better knife.

Very good!!!!!!!
thanks!
They don't sell this in the US unfortunately. However Amazon Germany will ship this to the US. I just cant justify the price.
yeah shipping is a rip off!
On My List 🗡️👍
cool!
good blade it takes great abuse before break
yeah, this is the best Nedfoss blade i tested, kind of a BK2!
Seems to be a very good knife for the price. These hardcore tests are very good but a short summary about regular handling and wood work would be nice to before the torture.
for this u have to see other channels, thats not my thing!
@@joex OK, I understand the concept of your channel and I hope it works but iam sure you have some good working skills too.and your opinion about handling and regular work would be interesting to know. Anyway I bought the knife after this test. Was looking for a working affiliate link from you to support but couldn't find one. Greetings from Brandenburg
P. S. Are you German or Ukrainian?
Joe, that knife beat you up 😳
yes it did for sure!!
It takes two to tango.
And that knife took that dance seriously.
I am sorry, but these kind of test are not helpful for me.
Better tested how much it will last while batoning or similar in daily use...
i am so sorry too!
Could you test the Nedfoss survival kukri 8Cr14MoV?
i dont think so!
Yo haría lo mismo contigo que tú con los filos, seguro que no pasabas el test jajajjajajaja
gracias!
Tough knife.
Low priced version of BK2/ESEE5.
yes, indeed!
Pretty good considering no one should ever need to punish a knife this bad
how often do u think i heard this comment?
Really nice and tough this knife . But Sir, why at the last you didn’t shoot it with your gun ? 😂😂😂
old video, other style!
I have noticed that a lot of the knives that break, break when you do the spine whacks. Why?
i am not 100 % sure, but everything breaks eventually!!
I think, it is a combination of fatigue fraction, acceleration and momentum. Regarding only one stroke on the edge, you get a torque which results of the distance from the point of mass inertness (not always the same as the point of mass), the mass of the knive and the accelerration of the knive. When you hit the target with the edge, the pressure is higher than if you use the spine. So there will a lot of energy be consumed to deform the target and the edge. With an hit on the spine the area is bigger, so the deformation and the consumed energy for this work less. The greater amount of the energy must be taken from the knife material and its structure.
The geometry of the blade will affect this, too. The area-massmomentum (Flächenträgheitsmoment), which affects the resistance an object can perform is in the third power (h^3) by the hight of the blade. As I said earlier, the inertia-point of area is different, and so are the torques, which try to bend the blade.
Another effect is surely the fatique of the material. The more stiffness an material has, the less it can consume impulses. This could result in more and bigger micro tension ruptures in the structure, which leads to a complete material failure.

Several machete's also with their 1055/1075 carbon steel.
