I thank you for the music! Went through some hard feelings, lately. Your music was pretty much what I kept listening to, when I couldn’t listen to any other music anymore - I felt dead inside. You might never read this. Just wanted you to know. Thank, you!
Rachel is devastated upon realizing she is a replicant. She then appears fragile and insecure, unnerved with her newly-found, allegedly subhuman status. Yet this mesmerizing replicant woman humanizes Decker and enables him to become less of a robotic killer and more of an empathizing human being. This music beautifully captures Rachel's sensitivity, emotional fragility, and overwhelming melancholy surrounding her character, her longing for a real past, not artificial memories, and the (uncertain) happiness in the future that will eventually never materialize.
From a "corpo" world where is no place for feelings... you my triangle friend... you make me cry. You are an escape for me from the reallity. And these are some mixed happy and sad tears together. Cannot explain. I'm just happy you exist here.
I am absolutely loving this. Kudos to you. I've been writing a dystopian detective story that takes place in a Blade Runner like setting, and your music has been perfect to play while I write it. This one is no exception. This one inspires me to create.
The vintage feel of nostalgia in this atmosphere is reminiscent of better days long since past and the bittersweet yearning to return to them in escape of the current reality. Thank you for blessing the world with this beautiful work.
Bravo! You've managed to capture the same beautiful melancholy feeling that was in the original. This eerie nostalgia for a time yet-to-come was so important in understanding the main characters' feelings
Love the way this starts out with a more substantial track, and then slowly drifts off into reverie and ambience. Just like your focus would when hanging out in this space. Great work!
I love alot of these BR inspired channels making soundscapes but what makes yours stand out is both the quality and how close it resembles Vangelis - it's a great evolution. I like recognising how parts of your work rework the og score I was just curious what you thought of other Cyberpunk soundtracks? For me 2049 is also great, especially the track Rain, but some of the others too. And the video game Cyberpunk 2077 has an amazing OST too. Vangelis obvs created something that is so unique but I must admit I do like a lot of the modern stuff for a different Cyberpunk vibe
Very kind words my friend. Thank you. I smile when I read comments like yours .) I think there are some very interesting modern pieces of work too, definitely! I think I would like to explore Deus X a bit in the future, and make a more "Modern" sound perhaps..
The first few minutes did not have me convinced, but as I kept listening the unique sounds and textures weaved themselves into my brain, creating a dense, soft haze pointed through by wistful dreamy strings. This might be one of your best ones so far.
This is really transcendental, the rhythm and instrumentation reminds me of a music box, but slowed way down with reverb. It perfectly captures all those feelings you describe in the description, and the feeling of the Blade Runner universe, very much like an old friend. The nostalgia is very real. I love it and can easily imagine falling asleep with this playing quietly (somewhere I have a pillow with a built-in speaker, I think it's time to dig that out from storage...) Thank you for this track, I hope the video does some serious numbers for you, because that would be well deserved.
PS You might be planning to do this later but just a heads-up, I don't see any chapters/timestamps. That doesn't take anything away from the listening though, I just heard you mention it in your earlier video.
Thanks for sharing the music and your thoughts, and your notes about the composition you made. It does seem very faithful to the Blade Runner universe.
Like most people these days, I have ADHD. I work from home too, so your videos really help me focus when it's easy to get distracted. Keep producing these please!
What can I say that these other fine folks havent already? Congrats David, on yet another absolute home run. This one has Rachel's fingerprints all over it. Outstanding work, once again.👍🏼😁
As you mentioned in the description, this piece, it will illicit several emotions. For some, sorrow, others joy. It is a mixture of things, a kaleidoscope of emotions.
Oh, this is wonderful. The elements are so nice. Well done indeed. I think you could do a BR style album with this kind of quality. I love the melodies too. . P.s, fantastic visuals too. The whole thing is quite moving.
Love it David. Those chord progressions are incredible. It really suits being based on Rachel too. I know you poured your heart into this one so I'll listen to it multiple times for sure.
I started off with resistance, but as I allowed the music to reach me - it felt like the gentle, soothing caress of the universe offering the peace and infinity of timelessness. Like the oldest of knowings slipping ever so naturally back into my spirit. Thank you for helping me embrace this beautiful and wondrous experience. Much love, my truly beautiful friend 💖
One of the first tracks that got me sleeping to ambient music was Rachel's theme slowed down by 300% which is a sound you've built upon on this channel. Now ive come back full circle to Rachel again
I see you came back to one of your greatest joys. I remember listening to Rachel's Song on repeat from Blade Runner OST. It always gave me the very specific dreamy vibes and you did too. You are great. Thanks.
Thank you. Truly, I cannot thank you enough for all your incredible work. Your ethereal music transforms my mood, sharpens my focus, and provides me with unparalleled moments of meditation and concentration every time I listen. I sincerely hope that you continue on this remarkable journey.
If the acme of science fiction is the portrayal of the surreally jarring yet completely technically comprehensible, then Blade Runner is the greatest science fiction movie ever made.
I couldn't deal with the first part, too many off keys for my liking. But the part afterwards was fantastic and helped me get some nice quality rest. Thanks!
The music in this one really fits my idea of who Rachel is, the rendering is well suited to the overall theme! I had to put this one on a play list immediately! Thank you for this Spacewave channel!
My professor had asked me to watch this movie with the question in mind of “can an AI be considered human?”.. And I gotta say, I will never watch a movie for the first time and get a feeling quite like I did with that assignment, from the characters, to the lights, to the vastness of the city.. everything it made me feel, just to get hit with “like tears in rain”…. Blew me and my roommates minds.. and one thing I remember distinctly, is knowing that Rachael was going to be important to the plot, from the first glance, despite her being presented as just an assistant.. I will never get enough of blade runner
So cool to hear something different and unique! Love all the chords and melodies you have going on and the effect you've done with the visuals is mesmerizing! Love it!
While I love the sound and mood, I don't actually get a Bladerunner or cyberpunk vibe from this. Had I been presented this without seeing the title I would not make the connection. That said, still great!
This is definitely one of the best ones I've seen in your channel! At times it can be hard to avoid that droning sound that becomes displeasing after y'know, 10-15 minutes, but I haven't seen that in a long while now 😊

You're his successor. Great stuff!@@spacewavecr
For now I know who Vangelis was after I read this, and i regret not having knows him before. 😢
I love your music and this work really touched me.
that also would be lost in time. Like tears in rain...
Between the music and the visuals, I feel like I could seriously just walk into that room, I can feel heartache but comfort at the same time..

so Decker in fact was a replicant, and Gaff was cheking on him
I crave these types of soundscapes more than any current popular music genre.
