Just ask yourself how many world famous singers would put their career on hold to serve their country. ELVIS DID. Listen to how people who knew him talk about him thats his legacy and the films and music.

His voicel was at smoothest and best early 60s some people like to debate that but it's obvious is all around singing and tone and voice control early sixties At his best and physical condition doing the best I can great ballad voice was golden

Absolutely beautiful song. It always amazes me how critics and some Elvis fans view certain songs as movie fluff or filler songs. Compare these lyrics to "I Want to Hold Your Hand". Except for the tempo of the song, there is very little difference in the writing. Vocally, no comparison. I've always felt like there are certain well written Elvis movie songs that have been ignored (and totally mishandled by Tom Parker and therefore RCA) simply because they were Elvis movie songs. Just my opinion

When he was a teenager he would sing in a black church
He loved gospel music and sang gospel
I read that's how he started singing and loved singing for his mother

Nice reaction guys on a ballad that back then should have been issued as a single. Blue Suede Shoes 1960 version here seems to be regarded by most fans as a lesser a performance than the 1956 version. I like it because it is different.

That guy Going to the jukebox well his name is / Black Hair ........... You can see him at Marker 4:17 easily....... waving his hand like if he did not like Elvis singing cause he wanted to here the original ... Da !! .......Well anyway....... His name is Kenneth Becker played in four {Count Them} four Elvis Movies ......................Gets his butt kicked in some like in this movie ........... it's a butt kicker for him ........... His best to me was in Girls, Girls, Girls when he is on a Blind Date with Laura Dodge sitting at a table drinking a drink..........The women that Elvis soon wins over ................ Elvis comes over to the table as he was invited to sit down by Laura after singing ......... Really a great song to ............... "I Don't Want To Be Tied (HD) " .......{ ruclips.net/video/uSL81e1L5cU/видео.html } .......... { That's Kenneth at marker .... 0:12 See his back Then front on 1:03....1:37.... 2:15 .....2:23 and so on sitting with Laura Dodge at the Table } .......... Anyway .......... Elvis and her start talking like this ....... Elvis- who's this ....... Laura a bad Idea I had ...A blind date ......... Elvis- His blind alright ......... Kenneth- Hey pal get your own date ...........Elvis- You want me to {motions with his arms to throw him out } Guy stands up ......Sam walks over {The bar owner} Hearing Laura and Elvis talking and says to Laura about Kenneth ......Is this guy causing trouble here ............ Grabs Kenneth from behind in a full Nelson ......... And Kenneth is being pulled away from behind by Sam and Ken says ......Had to call the cops { Very Funny } .......What so funny about it is there was not enough time to call the cops ......... Its very funny if you catch it .......... Kenneth says Elvis never laid a hand on him and what the hell ............... Someone had to play the part ........ The pay was very good ................ Anyway there is the story of Kenneth Becker and a link to credit his work in Hollywood ...... RIP ............. Born: December 23, 1931 in Long Beach, California, USA Died: August 1, 2000 (age 68) in Los Angeles, California, USA Kenneth ........ www.imdb.com/name/nm0065481/ www.imdb.com/name/nm0065481/

Elvis in superb vocals but songwriting (not by elvis) is mediocre. The movie was great and the soundtrack was good but This song just doesn’t do much. I think it’s just filler material they gave him
