Adam, if you don’t want to listen about the history of Russia, then how are you going to understand what’s happening in Ukraine?
For sure, they are so naive to think that it's that easy with Russian, we have a lengthy and highly dramatic hystory! So, as one very famous author ( if I'm not mistaken) said " who doesn't know their hystory, doesn't have a future.."
@@serjbulanov He who does not know the past does not know the present, the future, or himself(Michael Lomonosov)
Why are you trying to understand the situation in Ukraine as if it is in a vacuum? History is important, don't ignore it...Moreover, in the interview there was a very very simplified version of the history of Russia
The interview gave us no new information, and Putin himself lost the interview. He had one chance to reach the American people and instead provided revisionist Russian history for 2 hours. Trash interview

I don't think Putin was saying Tucker didn't do a good job. If you actually watch that interview, Putin said "I expected him to ask what they regard as tough questions, so that I could use that to respond in kind." Meaning, Putin was hoping Tucker used the western method of interviewing so he could give more harsh answers. But to his surprise, Tucker wasn't there for a fight, he gave him a chance to speak his mind calmly. It was a compliment to Tucker for conducting an interview in a way he didn't expect.

As a Moscovite, I would like to confirm here that there are nearly 400 stations in the Moscow underground, called the Metro. The older stations were built during the Stalin era. They all look like huge palaces of granite and marble, vaults adorned with paintings and murals or frescos, gilded pillars, bronze sculptures, stained-glass ornaments on the walls, and bright chandeliers. Each station is unique and sophisticated, even the more recently built have their own character. The seats in the carriages are comfortable and there is wifi available throughout the underground system, moreover, the electronic screens inform the passengers about the next station, the weather forecast, the important landmarks for tourists, the break-out news, the services and stores nearby.

@@Dimitrius0713 послушаешь прям рай, и Путина наверное любите как миленький.
@@Siberianoutcast I am not aware of this because, unfortunately, I have not lived in Russia for the past 27 years. When I visited it last, in 2022, I didn't have a chance to be in the countryside or in small towns but in earlier years (2012- 2019) I did and the small towns seemed to be doing much better, with more infrastructure, a lot of grocery stores filled to the brim with all kinds of food, and better state of repair. The roads themselves weren't always very good and needed repair, but it is true for most places in Canada, too, where I am living now. But I still love my country and I am proud of my home city, Moscow, and its amazing and diverse architecture, hundreds of museums, theatres, art galleries, parks, sport arenas, places for children, good schools and reliable transport. The city is also becoming more and more modern and organized, so you won't see any long queues, line-ups or crazy "handouts" because there is no deficit of anything. There are of course, problems, too, I 'd say, the unimaginably heavy traffic and the pollution that comes from it (however, the city is very green and the air is still fresh!), and one other problem is that the garbage disposal system is very old. Nevertheless, both the city and the metro are very clean. As far as the towns in the interior there may be problems with poor management and non-efficient infrastructure, but you should ask the local government about that. Meanwhile, I have only talked about my home city and my impression of it, but I did not talk about the President, or the Mayor of Moscow, or the government of Russia and I do not necessarily endorse them or support what they are doing.

Tucker wanted to give Putin a chance to tell his "side" of the story, and he let him do that. Thanks to Tucker for not cutting Putin off as our journalists do. I was delighted to listen to Putin talk about the history of the region and enlighten people not fortunate enough to have that knowledge. Perhaps they can play that part of the interview for our schoolchildren who are not learning anything of consequence in our schools.
Sure, that guy with a moustache also had a side, let's glorify him too like y'all apologists are doing.
Putin was expecting a more confrontational interview, but Tucker said he didnt want to do that kind of interview, he wanted to give putin the opportunity to explain his point of view. Putin was preparing for a debate and tucker wanted to have a conversation with the man.
it's because Russian roasted potato much more tasted than american --hahahahahah
Lol you serious? He would never do it if it was confrontational. You known he NEVER debates? No election debates, period. Denied requests for multiple interviews.
As a Russian speaker I would say the translation here doesn't quite reflect what he said. It is a subtle difference but changes the meaning quite a lot. He didn't say ”I did not fully enjoy that interview” as in I didn't like it. In Russian it's a noun he uses when they translated it as a verb. So it is more like: I didn't get to experience the _full joy_ with it. As like ”I didn't get to have _all_ the fun with it that I hoped and was prepared to have” thinking it would be all aggressive and disrespectful in the usual manner of his colleagues apparently. And not like saying it was bad necessarily or something like that.
Thank you...I'm sure there were other things unclarified throughout the interview, as well
Pin this comment
Thank u need more of this
You're right
Correct!
As a Russian speaking person I can tell that Putin was expecting a carbon copy Western narrative journalism. And he got Tucker, who, despite being quite impatient with some of the questions still actually listened and was more interested in how Putin’s actions will affect descriptions of the politicians in his own country. By “ not satisfied” he meant he came for a fight but instead got offered pacifistic conversation.
That’s why tucker is great. If he had an MSNBC “journalist” interviewing him it’d just be asking him “why are you hitler” for an hour. Tucker gave him an opportunity to explain it from the Russian side and I can’t stand how big media tries to portray Putin. I’m not a fan, I wouldn’t vote for him to be president of the US but he seems reasonable enough to me. He seems like he wants to come to an agreement that is actually upheld and taken seriously by the west. And he’s damn sure better than whatever the hell we have in office in the US right now
“Why are you hitler” line cracked me up. Thank you. It’s just I speak both languages Russian and English and was actually impressed by how qualified and keen Tucker’s interpreter was instead of what we got in this interview. Russians coin phrases very different from the English speaking world. So he was obviously complementing Tucker as a old gentleman would. Most Russians hate when someone is obviously sucking up to them. And Putin is a old school after all.
I believe Putin intentionally steered the conversation to be neutral to save Tucker. He said that he fears what he might go through, but it was his choice to come to Russia.
Thanks for the explanation. That is a wholly different story, and that’s why we need bilingual people instead computer translations as well. And a translator can skew a lot in bad faith, I have heard a lot of it in the German media around Brexit…
I don’t believe Putin is kind enough to care for Tucker. I do believe he likes him though. Maybe even respects him. I’m a fan of Tucker for quite a while now. I live in a country that’s copy’s USA politic almost religiously. And I like to be prepared.
“If you sit in front of this killer and you say some crazy shit, you’re staying in Russia” 😅😂😂
Show the real level of brain washing if the American people!!!

This guy Adam is ignorant. He is talking about spending 2 hrs on the war but is saying he doesn’t care about the history Putin laid out which was quite literally laying out a huge part of his justification for the war. This guy shows his ignorant arrogance. He detracts from this panel which is why I avoid watching usually.
because people like Adam rely on ignorance of the others so they can enforce their narratives. If there is a deeper and more complex story behind this war Adam-like war mongers cannot go around yelling about "Putin eating babies" and demanding billions to be given to military industrial complex.
Facts.
Yeah I saw that. It's called thinking out side the box. I don't think he's got it in him.
Adam is mossad, that is why he is wrong about everything all of the time, he isn't a human but a spook
Yeah, I was just about to post the same and then saw your comment. Adam is missing the point entirely, and I suspect deliberately; otherwise, he is, I'm afraid, just an idiot. PBD gave him way too much airtime on this issue. Tom and PBD are the reasons I watch this programme. Tucker was in a very awkward position. Putin was in total control of the interview. To say that that Tucker didn't test him enough is unfair. Tucker tried to test him, and Putin shut him down. If Tucker had taken the 'tough' stance, the interview would most likely have fallen apart. Do you really think Putin would allow Tucker to dominate him, or hold him to account in front of the Russian people?? Imagine if a Russian journalist was interviewing Trump. The same thing would have played out. So, Tucker in the end had to make a decision, which was the right one in my opinion. Let Putin speak. Putin had a clear agenda, which was to explain in great deal why he invaded Ukraine. I found the interview fascinating, riveting. It's easy to distract, as Adam is doing, from the real point of this conversation, which is that we got the chance to hear the other side of the story. This has become a luxury in the West, in which corrupt 'liberal' governments control all the narratives through media capture, while duping us to believe they are keeping us 'safe' and 'saving democracy'. Instead, Tucker gave us an opportunity to hear the other side so that we - the ignorant masses - could decide for ourselves what is 'true'. How grateful we should be that Tucker got off his couch and flew all the way to Russia to interview Putin, knowing what a risk that would be, not from the Russians, but from the West. What incredible courage and integrity. And then he's accused of being soft? Nah, I don't buy it.
"I don't need to know Russian history"
And THAT is exactly why people are running around like headless chickens, crying about why is he doing this. History is important
In a sense, do your homework before you go and ask questions.
Apparently due to language peculiarities, not many people understood: Putin says that he expected more aggression from Tucker so that they could argue heatedly and put on a show. Like in the movie "Legend" (2015) with Tom Hardy, where Ronald says he was "going to a gunfight"
(I say hello to the idiot in the video who thinks that someone could be arrested for any question.)

Agreed. Please get this idiot off the show so I can actually watch it. Maybe he can get a job on the View with the other cackling hens.
So he isn't the comic relief ?
For the show
This show is just 3 idiots blabbering
@@user-ki3ks4fd6i Its hard to enjoy shows that have yes men. A very bad example is Steven Crowder and his band of idiots. Sometimes with the Pat MacAfee show too.

Remember, very early in the interview Putin asked is this going to be a talk show or serious interview. He was serious and expected tough questions. Tucker has down his homework and he said that he wanted Putin to tell his story so that his audience have a chance to listen and make up their mind who Putin is .
and that's exactly what he did
I also heard that as well here in Motherland, Ballito 💯🌍🇿🇦❤️

@@user-ls7sx8ox3g Thats because of all the wonderful illegals flooding our country with no education
Everyone already know who Putin is. Tucker just sucked at that interview
Putin: "Sky is blue"
People for no reason: "fakin liar!"
Putin just made a chess move in a checkers game, the Western media said Tucker was soft with Putin and now Putin saying this, they cant agree with Putin and they are already against Tucker😂
But they will because logic consistency is not something they abide by. Watch it happen. Adam here is already doing it. Double standards
Putin is saying he wants a tougher interview but the Kremlin said they’ve had loads of requests from western journalists ( but only approved Tucker). So does he want a tougher interview or not?
He also said he prefers Biden over Trump loooooooool
@@matthenley3886there is being tuff and there is being an ass. 9/10 western jurnilst dont know the difference.

Somebody should sit Adam down and explain to him why we study history and why it does matter what Tsar Nicholas the 17th (who didn't exist btw) said and did. To know the past means to understand the present and be able to predict the future
Let Adam know that the View has an opening! What's wrong with that man?!
Adam belongs on the view
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 well said

Because he asks you questions you stutter to answer??
Go watch TYT's already, quit taking up comments space.
Adam’s attitude, towards history, is the same as that of millions of Americans. Historic ignorance is what has come to define the US. It’s a byproduct of the education system, and US exceptionalist thinking.
Yes !
Yep. Most Americans don't know shit about the world past NY and LA
While him saying we needed none of the history is stupid i think he is correct in saying we dont need to go back to 890ad to discuss why Ukraine has been invaded. Seems like putin doesnt really have a good moral justification and so must try and dodge the answer by vaguely implying its because of history. No country should be invaded because of actions made hundreds of years ago.
PBD and Putin on an interview would be 🔥🔥🔥
@PBD Patrick you talk sense thanks man love from the UK🇬🇧🏴🤙🤙
Can we start a petition to send Adam to interview Putin. I'll pitch in for the knee pads he'll be needing
Adam will come back with a trauma 😂
Before Adam can be allowed to speak to Putin, the Russians would have to screen Adam for any signs of intelligence
Some interview if you’re scared of asking questions. No wonder so many people worried the interview would be used as propaganda. Soft
Everyone knows the answers from their armchair @@007bbox
In that case why to do it in the first place?
I can tell Adam didn’t listen to it didn’t comprehend the 30 minute Russian & World history lesson from Pres. Putin and it’s relevance to his current stance on the Ukraine situation.
He literally was saying that would be one of his tough questions (why did you invade?) He did not really watch the interview
because Adam is a typical american who wants to know about Walmart sales on sundays only. Very closed-minded.
If history is putins logic, then Germany has every right to Kaliningrad 🤦♂️
I completely agree. I just posted similar before reading your post. Yes, Adam probably couldn't process the interview bc he's a leftist, so he missed a lot. The US influence on the British PM Boris Johnson, to verbal agreements he would make with a few US presidents only for them to later go back on their word, perhaps suggesting POTUS are not calling the shots. Someone else was pulling their strings. Such information and much more Putin presented in the interview goes to explaining the Ukraine-Russian war. Russia asked to join with the US many a time.
@@rachmann516 “Adam is a leftist” 😂🤣🤣 don’t embarrass yourself 😂😂
To make the statement that Putin would arrest Tucker in front of the world for a hard intervew borders on insanity. Dear God!
Colonel Mcgregor joined the podcast and you still didn’t soak in all the info he dished out.
If Piers Morgan was the interviewer we will hear for one hour: Do you condemn Hamas? 😂😂😂

Lol
The one with Fransese, “Did you kill anybody?”.

I actually think piers would be an interesting interview if it wasnt for him struggling not to interrupt people still. I think they would probably shoot him an hour in😂
I’m glad Patrick has the patience to deal with these two
😂
patience? he put these two together man...adam is just there to spur on the others...
As a journalist myself I gotta say Tucker did a great job
Meaning was lost in translation, what Putin was saying was he expected Tucker to attack him and he came prepared to attack back , but since Tucker took a soft approach, Putin didn’t get a chance to express himself fully.
Абсолютно верно поняли!!!
Still a negative in terms of rating the interview. By this logic putin Would've been able to express more if tucker was harder on him.
Adam is , and remains, an absolute pillock

Putin saying he would prefer Biden is just psychology. Biden has opposed him in his war against ukraine . Would trump?
No. The history is vital to understand why this is happening now.
Gents
The issue is with the translation. It’s translated wrong.
If you know Russian and speak Russian you will understand that he is actually complimenting Tucker for being a gentleman and allowing him to talk and not doing what everyone does. By trying to hardball him.
Tom is boss 😂
Totally agree
Agreed. I was born there and speak Russian. Its sad how often they messup the Translation .
They don't know where Ukraine is on the map, what questions about the Russian language and understanding what Putin said can you ask them? This one says "You are sitting with that killer", referring to Putin while the Americans killed half the world and are still killing, right now... He told them ''You have migrants, you have trillions of debts, you are deliberately weakening the dollar, don't you have smarter things to do?''
Do you know and speak Russian?
And that is known as a soft interview so Adam is right.
Adam is the used car salesman who tells you there’s no “flood” damage to the vehicle
Yes, Adam has car sales mentality
PBD will say “you chose the flood to happen”.
He was the only one on the pod to CORRECTLY call the interview softball. The rest were afraid to piss off Tucker 😂
I have confidence in Tucker's interviewing skills and do not perceive him as incompetent. It seems evident that Tucker prioritized the Ukraine issue during the interview, likely because of its direct relevance to the American populace. This deliberate emphasis suggests careful planning on Tucker's part.
I can not agree more. 😅
I’m addicted to PBD show lol
It’s Adam’s time of the month… 😂
Adam is the individual you look at when you’re at your lowest and realize, everything is possible.
💀
😂
How?
I don't understand why Adam thinks the interview didn't cover the war. Doesn't he realise Putin's history lesson puts the war in context and that the US crossed the line which placed Russia in a vulnerable position? For me Putin clarified the situation from his perspective: the US is the aggressor. Russia it seems was responding to US provocation.
😂
If an interview opens the eyes of tens of millions of people, then it is successful.
I'm a Western European. I thought it was a good interview. It was good to hear Putin uninterrupted and listen to what he had to say. Europeans are much smarter than Americans, but we also hear a lot of propaganda from our news agencies, albeit a little less biased than the US. I don't think many Europeans would necessarily believe what Putin had to say, but watching the interview allowed time to reflect, to think and to remember than these things are more nuanced than the media portrays.
Who's eyes were opened?
As of right now, the MSM is putting out headlines that say "Putin humiliates Tucker".

Adam, you're a crucial part of this show. You make it interesting with your takes, because you represent a HUGE part of America that would be against the general rhetoric of PBD show! You represent, and Patrick must keep you. Period !
Yeah everyone in this comment section would seemingly prefer an uninteresting echo chamber, they are all a bit insufferable in terms of arguing but adam isnt chatting out of his arse.
You need to get rid of that fool who thinks history doesn’t matter
Sounds like he was praising Tucker for listening and being respectful.
Soft
The Russian media actually praised Tucker with the same clip that they are showing. The angle they took is that by being patient and respectful instead of fully confrontational made both him harder to handle, as they were expecting something else, and not useful enough as they couldn't give their perspective on other issues that are for them important for the west to take exposure on. Half truths. Tucker for what it seems doesn't want the war to continue with US support and I think that he used this interview and his trip with that purpose.
You're right
Still means he was soft ...
@@isaacluna3851 lol, nice spin! 🤦♀ why is so hard to admit he was soft? even putin himself said that!
1. Tucker wanted to see his family again.
2. Putin has to look good to his people.
3. I’m sure all the questions were vetted.
4. I’m sure the final production was edited by Tucker but APPROVED by Putins team.
Don’t be so stupid, this had to be done correctly and Congratulations Tucker for taking the initiative to make this interview 👏👍
If you don’t want to ask tough questions, don’t go.
Do you think the press in America are allowed to ask the president of the United States any question? I don't think so
