Who will be on the podium this year?
Hooper, Singleton, Bishop
Got to be a Stoltman but maybe I’m biased 🏴 🤞😂
I'm thinking Hooper, and then Stoltman and Singleton, if Evan can keep it together
Tom, Hooper, Bish
Hooper, Tom, Singleton.
Honestly if it wasn't for you covering WSM this year I probably wouldn't keep up with it until the final day to see who won. Thanks for the coverage here and on instagram
Welcome mate. It's unreal that quite a number of people only keep following it because I cover it!
@@MattRhodesSport I follow every other major comp and am a big strongman fan in general, but with WSM's organization and so many big names missing, I can't wait for other shows!
Hooper will probably win as usual followed by Tom, and maybe Evan or Ragg. Let’s see if Evan can chill out a bit.
Seems a sensible predcition
Agreed
EVAN BLEW HIS BICEP OFF
Wonder where schoonwinkel ends up
@@stevetheriault4164 not accurate at all
Thanks for the update Matt
You are welcome
Apparently Hooper had an agreement with the other guy in the stones. But when there is a tie on distance they should use time as a tie breaker
Disappointing if that was the case
stoked to see these videos again. Premier coverage as always!
Thanks mate
Thanks Matt for keeping us updated.
You are welcome
Great analysis Matt. Thanks for this
A bit basic but hopefully gives a bit of info :)
Mitchell Hooper is on a whole different level.. he has the power but he also has speed and technique. He has a great understanding of how the body works And the biomechanics for each of the events. He studies and practices these things until he gets them perfect.. this is why he's going to have a clean sweep of this event. He will outperform everybody and it's because he is just overall more well-rounded than the rest of them. There are likely some stronger guys in there, but they are held back because of their lack of understanding for things like biomechanics, recovery, nutrition, etc.
Yep, he's a class above at the moment
I actually don't mind injuries in any sports because it gives new guys a chance to shine
Yes, that's the plus side
My prediction for the Finals is Mitch, Tom, Evan Singleton, Matt Ragg, Adam Bishop - Top 5
Sounds a good prediction to me
Thanks! 😮sad for Bobby😢
Yes, a real shame for him
I'll wait for the TV show. Thank you.
Enjoy it!
THX MATT
You are welcome
Thanks again for all of the uploads!
Group1:
1. Luke
2. Eddie - wins stone off
3. Hoath
Group 2:
1. Hooper
2. Ondrej - wins stone off (not sure)
3. Remick
Group 3:
1. Ragg
2. Bishop
3. Aivars - wins stone off
Group 4:
1. Singleton
2. Crowder
3. Pavlo - wins stone off
Group 5:
1. Tom
2. Schoonwinkel
3. Derwinsky - wins stone off
Well, let's see if it stands tomorrow.
Thanks for your predictions!
@@MattRhodesSport 8/10, not bad. Gutted for Ondrej to drop due to stone off... watched him live in Leeds ESM, very impressive for such a young guy.
Thanks for the coverage, it takes quite a bit of effort to make me care about wsm these last few years. Do you think there are some politics going on trying to claim Webster's favor or is it genuine tribute?
No, I just think each year one event catches on and nearly all promoters lazily follow. Dumbbell and now stones.
@@MattRhodesSport totally agree now that you mention it. stone to shoulder was like that after the first time they did it at the arnold
Or how about we just appreciate WSM is adding something different at least Webster stones mixes things up abit
@@petershortland478 appreciate the aforementioned laziness factor or....?
@ftargr hardly lazy when Rogue was pretty lazy when it same to their last event. Also walking stones gives an idea to see what other athletes are like that event
It was Hooper's idea to split the points in the first event.
Sad to hear that, there should not be deal making
Is it true Evans nan is competing ?
:)))))
Comment for engagement. Thank you
Thank you
You showed group 5 after event 2, not after event 3.
He only covered the first two events for every group. No idea why he didn't talk about the sandbag steeplechase. That event really changed up some scores.
I thought only 2 events on day 1, sorry! Today I will cover it all and have some bonus material such as overall scores if all vs all
Oops! Haha. There were 3. It was a looooong night here in Australia. 😫
Lots of room for dark horses this year.
Totally agree
I think hooper n tom will battle it out point for point could come down to stones
You may well be correct
So were just gonna disregard that there was a 3rd event? Theres 3 events for each day of the heats and final, just like years past.
I discussed that in the latest video, my mistake!
Quite honestly the Stone Off is so idiotic and practically sabotages the winner's chances of even making the podium while all the group winners are well rested - COMPLETELY IDIOTIC to handicap someone like that - it seems Barbaric & Sadistic
Yep
2 events?
There was a 3rd, I will update today!
1 Tom stoltman
2 Mitchell hooper
3 Matt ragg
I have Hooper, Tom, Ragg but 3rd place I am most unsure about.
I am going with my country man Schoonwinkel. It's actually pronounced S-k-u-on-vin-kel.
Thank you! I hope he does well
Hooper will win wsm 2024
He has to be favourite again
Pa O'Failure ☘
Going for the wooden spoon
@um8778 Nothing like some casual discrimination to start your day...
@@markbrennan212 You literally have a video making fun of disabled people on your channel
I thought you’ve said 20 times at least you wouldn’t cover WSM.
Zero times. Still living rent free in your head I see :)
Great video as always Matt.
My podium is
Tom stoltman
Mitch ( but I don't like him 🥴😂 )
Matt ragg
Seems a good prediction mate!
@@MattRhodesSport thanks champ. 😁
Mateusz REALLY needs his diet in order and some proper recovery in his routine. How the fuck can you be injured for most of your career? What a shame..
It's a huge shame, hopefully things change for him.
Pa O’Liar cracked me up. Not sure the origin of that, other than that he seems like he’s always bottom of the pack.
Always in contention for the wooden spoon
Pa 😂😂😂
:)
"Pa O' Liar" ... why? lol
The clue is in the name :)
@@MattRhodesSport what did he lie about
