If u are a lyricist, u must have another hustle or u die a hungry Rapper. most Nigerian rappers are commercial rappers cos that's what pays the bill. Remember we've got our sound, south Africans too gat thier sounds...so it's going to be difficult deciding who d best rapper outta Africa. MI started as a lyricist, but had to switch sometimes. check out Mode9, Jesse jags, Vector da Viper, Blacqbones, YCEE, Terry da Rapman and a host of others. There are also indigenous rappers in Nigeria who don't rapp in English at all.
