  • Today, I will teach a random athlete how to learn a muscle-up, explaining the technique step by step. I'll focus on key aspects and how to progress from easier variations to more difficult ones. Follow these steps to learn how to swing, pull up, transition over the bar, and finally, perform a muscle-up.

    I think he can do muscle up, but u gave him a lot of excercises that made him tired. If he just did with strong rubber band and high pull up with alot of kipping he would get it easily. He should do muscle ups with kipping and with bands, because he can not enter good form muscle ups at the start. All of us went to bad form phase and it is important to build the muscle connection. The thing that made me stuck and slow progress in muscle ups is overusing the bands to get it clean which is a bad or slower method. When i did high pull ups with kip and muscle ups with kip that made my progress jumb. Thank for the vid man and keep going ❤

      @@freerideviktor440 That is Great then, but my point is maybe it took you that long (1.5years) to do a muscle up because you struggled on the transition, all i say is that doing a false grip can make the transition alot easier especially for people who has long limbs cause the Range of motion is much longer than short limbed people. That is where the false grip is at it's Best, BtW, i can also do 10reps of clean Muscle ups and can do at least 3 explosive muscle ups, it helps that i can do 30 consecutive Clean Pull ups and can lift as Heavy as 40kg for 5 reps on my Weighted pull ups.

    It is so discouraging with these videos promising to teach muscle ups in a few hours. This is an advanced callisthenics movement which takes at least a few months of regular training to master, for many people much longer.

      @@andrystrong1 dude, you are very strong guy and a respectable athlete, but the (sub)title of your video reads "I taught a random athlete to master the muscle-up in just 2 hours". So it's right there, mate. The good thing about the video, though, is that we can see that even for a naturally strong man who is already able to do lots of high-quality pull ups, the specific technique and strength required for a muscle up takes time to develop. It is certainly not possible in just one afternoon.

    I m 98kg i can do 15 pullups but musle up still impossible for me

    • @baligo3760
      @baligo3760 4 месяца назад

      The number of pull-ups is not so important - that is endurance but it is not endurance what you need for the muscle-up. I am 90kg, and can do only 6 pull-ups but I can do 3 muscle-up in a row. For muscle up you need a critical amount of speed+strength. That is why the technique for bigger people is slightly different. Short men are fast and it is easier for them as they do not need so much strength. For bigger people - more strength (train weighted pull ups) is required and all the speed (train high pull ups) and technique (train with bands) you can get.
      I learned the muscle up after years of exercising. After all I did not succeed to improve much my speed and strength but with the help of tick bands and many tries I managed to get the right technique . It is very hard to see the most important part of the technique here (and it is very hard to explain) - it is in the last moment of the pull, short bodywave-like kick (horizontal) which brings you high over the bar. Look around 9:00-9:58 but it is hard to understand what to do, better get a band and start trying.
