Am i able to move the boundary of the cut field on the panel that needs cutting in the program? Cutting master 4 had a very easy way of doing it, where you could adjust the cut field and block out either side of the line that you did not want it to cut, highlight what you wanted cut and it will just cut that. Is there a way to do that on this program?
CM4 used to cut to a queue manager. CM5 does not seem to do this. I find it freezes Illustrator until you quit the program now. Is there a workaround for this?
That’s a great point about the queue. I have not had it freeze when sending from a Mac via the most recent version of Illustrator. I’ll have to try it from a PC. I have noticed that if you make any changes other than full default marks and sending the file to the cutter, CM5 has issues.
@@graphicinsights466 It does not place the registration marks as accurately as CM4. When you align to page the marks are always a fraction off vertically. I use this feature a lot as I sometimes have to regenerate the registration marks from third party software.
Its a pity it does not work with Coreldraw 2022, it will open the dialog box and cut but if I send a job thats 400x400mm it might decide to make it 1400x4000mm or any random size it picks, which makes it un-useable for me. I hope they get a fix soon.
Thanks for the Corel update. We have not been able to test it on that platform yet. We have seen similar issues with Illustrator and cutting is inconsistent. I too hope it's fixed soon.
Sorry to be offtopic, but does anyone knows is it possible to install cm4 on mac and use corel to send cut files? It's been only adobe illustrator option. I work only with coreldraw and would hope to purchase mac instead of windows but that is the only thing stoping me(don't know to use adobe illustrator).
Great Info!!!! Im running into a problem... I installed CM5 on a PC with a graphtec FC 8600-160 via USB, I was able to Install Software to Illustrator, Added the plotter, Opened a Cut File into CM5, Verified item was there and pressed output, ....and nothing happens, Is there a way that I can test, verify that the plotter has communication with the Software??? I also downloaded the driver and installed as I saw in the graphtec Website. Need all the help you can offer!!!
Newbie here. Where to get Cutting master and corel draw for Graphtec CE2000-120 if disk is lost? Is it possible to do design on photoshop then edit on cutter master?
Unfortunately Cutting Master 5 will not support the CE2000. It is possible to design in Adobe Illustrator and send to cutter via CM5 with a CE7000 cutter. If you purchase a new CE-lite cutter or a new CE7000 either will come with design/cut software from Graphtec.Ihope this answers your question
Hi, thanks for reaching out. The CE6000 does have the ARMS sensor on it and can read crop marks but Graphtec no longer guarantees it from CutMaster5. According to Graphtec - make sure that your cutter firmware is 1.40 or later and change the setting of CONDITION PRIORITY from MANUAL to PROGRAM in the TOOLS SETTING menu. Your guaranteed way to use the CE6000 is to download Cut Master 4 but you will also need to use an older version of Illustrator. The previous instructions should work for CM5
@@graphicinsights466 thanks you sir but I'm now in problem, I format my cutter, and uninstall cm4 And install but my file not send to cut, job show in hold box if possible help me resolve my issue 🙏
I'm working on a Windows 11 PC, I have CM5 but can't get it to work with CorelDraw, either the one-off purchase or the subscription version. The CM5 option appears under the Launch drop-down but nothing happens when you click on it. Anybody else experience this or know a fix?
Any idea why my Graphtec just starts cutting right away instead of reading the registration marks? I do have registration marks turned on and I've tried everything I can think of. Using an FC8600-160 and CM5. Didn't have this issue with CM4.
@woodallcaleb - Thanks for commenting. Make sure when you're in CM5 the registration menu (6th icon to the right that looks like the crop/corner marks) select it and make sure the top box "Use Registration Marks" is checked. For some reason it does not stay checked and you have to check the box every time. Hope this helps. Let me know
Hi Thanks for the informative video! I'm trying to do multiple up decals with contour cuts. How do you get like 20up on a sheet - print it and then use Cutting Master 5 to match that 20up contour cut? I've only seen how to print and cut 1 single design . I've seen where you can step and repeat to CUT ONLY in CM5. I need to PRINT & CUT multiples up on a sheet. Is this possible with Illustrator and CM5? Or do I need Flexi to do that?
Hi, Thanks for the comment. Yes, that's definitely possible. The process is the same to cut a single image as it is to cut multiples. You would create the multiple up / across in Illustrator, add your registration marks You need to select the cut line only on the all of the multiple images and set your registration marks to that selection. I like to group the cut lines and put them on a separate layer so it's easier to send to CM5. Only send the cut selection with the registration marks to CM5. I can create a short video if you're still struggling. Let me know.

Hi, Have you used barcode cutting? I have not found much information on using it with the Cutting Master 5, I have the FC9000-160 plotter. Good video.
I have a video coming shortly that goes over using barcodes from start to finish
