My stepson went through a divorce and has two children, he wanted majority custody, this is after his ex was abusive. The family court judge gave him 35% custody despite being the primary income. My stepson makes $70K while his ex is in and out of jobs.
Fast forward a few years, the ex-wife checks herself into a mental health hospital for several weeks. My stepson has his lawyer petition the court for majority custody, again. The judge doesn't see a "need" for majority and ups his custody to 45%. This means the ex still has all decision making for the children. Several years going through the system and $$$ for lawyers. The system penalized a man that wants to support his children.

Most of the judges are former DAs and are simply paying their dues, do not want to be there, and just waiting to move into another criminal or civil law courtroom. I'm working on a modification of permanant alimony for a client. He's a pediatrician and he has reached retirement age and his income will drop precipitously soon, as he winds up his practice. He has been paying his ex-wife $5,000.00 a month for the last 25 yea rs. He was only married 23 years. He's paid a gold digging, lazy, hanger-on over $3 million dollars. And she's contesting the drop in alimony because she's broke. This judge being shot is tragic. What's equally tragic is statutes that make people want to kill someone when the law screws them for the rest of their life. No wonder MGTOW is a real thing.

A good gauge of American sentiment on this issue can still be viewed on most any regular television series, where the writers and producers would never dream of having a man be aggressive towards a woman on the show; however, quite often the woman is scripted to be and indeed permitted to be on the air, in some cases, extremely aggressive towards the man, and that is considered to be not only okay but indeed humerous. As a society, we are a long ways from equality between the genders, despite numerous laws and protestations to the contrary. This comes to a head in family law courtrooms tens of thousands of times a day in American courtrooms. So until changes are made nationwide incidents, such as this will continue to occur, obviously infrequently, but occur nevertheless

To end child support , the Father can sign all his rights away and give 100 % percent control to the mother ,
Of course you can't demand to see the children unless the mother approves,
But your child support payments are zero .
So you got to decide , zero child support payments or paying child support and then only seeing your children on court ordered times .
You can also get 50/50 custody ,
If it's only one child you share equal time and child support payments stop because both of you have equal rights .
If 2 children , one can stay with you full time and one with her , this also stops child support payments as each one of you both have a child .
These methods all need Court approval and if you both don't agree a lawyer will be needed ,
      So play nice to that
wicked drama B1TCH until you get your desired results .
The signing away of your child's rights does not require her involvement , but you will have to present this evidence to the Court to get child support payments to stop .

Judges don't just decide to rip kids away from their dad willy nilly, courts always try to keep both parents in the lives of the kids if possible and practical. It's in situations where there is demonstrable neglect or a danger to one of the spouses and ESPECIALLY the children that the judge will make a ruling like this.
Think about it, she files for a restraining order, the judge sites evidence of abuse as the reason why he's handing full custody over to the mom, and shortly after this man loses control and murders an innocent person. It's not hard to put 2 and 2 together to realize that the guy was a complete monster and the judge had a good reason for his ruling. Like use your head please.

The wife/woman can say anything against the husband and there is no need to prove anything from the accuser. This is a man who is desperate and is at the end of his wits, and saw no hope in his circumstances.

@@wetlandweasel One little disclaimer then the rest of the post making excuses - very interesting. Please! Look, sonny, I've been in that position before where every single thing I owned was taken from me and ended up staying out of my car. I did not plot revenge, did not even consider killing the one that was primarily responsible. I hated his guts with an absolute passion - he just happen to be my brother - but, I did not do anything underhanded like post his name, address, phone number on-line and urge people to harm him, his family, his property, his job - and so on and so forth. To this day I hate his guts and will never ever ever talk to him again. I do not feel one bit sorry for that murderer. I just don't. When he down-sizes so everything he owns is in his car - sleeping in his car - health issues causing him to be unemployable - a prick of a brother - maybe we can talk, but I doubt it. People who lost everything in the depression did not go on killing sprees. He's just an entitled cry-baby.

Cases like this are always awarded to the female. Maybe it was correct, but those are his children and there must be a way to allow him some kind of relationship with them. Once a restraining order is issued, and its usually the male, families are irreparably broken. Murder is never acceptable, in this case the man lost his mind over losing his family.

Yes, I agree that there is extreme unfairness against the man, in the family court system, in divorce cases. But in _THIS PARTICULAR_ case, this guy correctly proved, by his very own actions here, that he totally deserved to have his kids taken away from him!!!
Now, not only will he never see his kids again, but he has caused them even more harm, as he has deprived them of a parent! But I would say that they are probably much better off, without a parent like him!

@@SteveC84 I know what you know. There is no record of abuse. If this act of murder is justification that he is, then the ends justify the means so there cant be an argument to his actions of course. My point is his act, albeit a murderous rage, was the result of him losing his family. Shouldn’t there be a better way to resolve marriage and child custody issues. What made him so dangerous? Do we know? Drugs? So incomplete information abounds.
