@365degrees I have a 1980 GS450L that I got from my uncle for $50 with only 8,(245?) miles and now its finely done almost 2 years later. It is a mestomod but I have all the original parts. Just put magaphons on it this spring, it is nasty sounding I love it.
The problem with the stock air boxes is, well... they suck. Pods work very well on two cylinders and you'll notice that the factory pilot jet on the GS450 is a puny 17.5. Right now, I'm running a 37.5 with pods and hi-flo exhaust and it gets much more power than stock but stock fuel economy. 50+ mpg
Free is always good :) Good job putting it back together and getting it running. Love the blacked out paint scheme. Please see my videos and tell me what you think. Thanks.
dude do you have straight pipes on that, ive been looking for some for my gs300, because in the summer i was running just the shorty pipes, cuz i just took my mufflers off, but i want to get some straight pipes for it for the spring
nice job with the reassembly and paint. looks really clean and reminds me of how mine used to look.
good job man. sounds good. I have a 81'gs 450 I found it with 11,000 miles and taken care of.....love it!

If you do K&N pods with straight pipes you want your pilot jet around 45 and main around 140 (On a GS450 engine)
@yamasubaruger sounds like a nice bike. Never thought I would ride a suzuki but I love it. Ride safe man....

you wouldnt happen to know how to set the timing on a 82 gs450 would you ? sweet bike by the way
Is it pure pipe or do You hafe a baffle in it?
did u buy a new front render? or isthat custom?
Do you wear any black leather chaps or leather greaser biker jacket with the bike??
Leather jacket and jeans.
how long did it take for you to build
What did you use for the pipes?
Smallest 18" sections of pipe from your local parts store. Not the best idea.
