One of the many cool things about Richie Kotzen is endless songs. Just when I think I’ve heard them all (sad), it brightens my day as in this song I’ve not heard. He’s such a beautiful amazing talented musician. And in my head, very underrated. Thank you Richie for all you do, your a pure joy 💕

@@malmusica I believe that I have figured it out and have duplicated it with a test on my similar Telecaster guitar. He is pulling the string off of the side of the fretboard with his 3rd finger and pulling it down and the string is then laying across the metal on the neck pickup and then he pulls to string to desired pitches that are very high pitch with great skill. A genius move that he must have practiced a few times before unveiling it at this show. I have never scene anyone else ever do this. Amazing. I tuned my e string down before trying it so that I would not break the string. I am amazed that he could pull that off without breaking that string, but obviously he has FAITH.
Was at this show, met Richie several times stand up nice dude!! Very humble and funny, he is a such laid back goofy dude!! If ya wanna see good vids of him RUclips Him live at the Baked Potato, ive seen him there a bunch and it is a great show and venue!
Who is this awesome keyboard player? Such a unique sound and it's hard to find a keyboard player who don't succumb to self-indulgent shit all the fucking time. Kotzen, in the other hand, sounds totally sterile and dumbed-down since abandoning the pick, Sorry, fanboys out there... At least play the goddamned riff properly!

Has anyone including Richie figured out what he did with that 1st string starting at about 14:26 min. into this video?
I think He bends the string outside the fretboard. The string touches the side of the fret and with the distortion makes that noisy sound
