I cried a river when Empress Xuan finally let out all the things she is been keeping in her heart for all these years to the Emperor😭 She is one my favorite characters in the drama❤️
Me too! She truly loved the emperor with all her heart. I know the emperor loves her too but his love for her isn't the passionate kind of love like it is for the Consort but a respectful love for the empress. So sad for the empress.
She doesn't truly love him at all. She said earlier she has never had that kind of feeling. And she just said she wants to marry someone else to feel the love of a husband. You are mistaking duty for love.
In this entire series, only the Empress and yuan had selfless love and admiration for Niao… no plotting and no back stabbing… they both loved her dearly…
More than the couple's breakup, I cried on her mother realizing how she did her wrong, but it was too late. This drama deserves all the awards. The actors the script the production everything is just topnotch.
@@tiredsleepygirl Partially guilt and partially trying to force the bad out of her. She knew Niao Niao could be harmed by MIL and SIL but she didn't spend time getting to know or comfort her daughter. Instead she tried to use military tactics to change her daughter to what she deemed proper. But Niao Niao was clever, smart and naughty, otherwise she wouldn't survive in that environment and the Empress showed her love, care and guidance and provided the incentive for Niao Niao to blossom and mature naturally. A part of me was happy to see her mother suffer knowing how wrong she was...and I hope she suffered from the loss of her daughter a 2nd time because she chased her away.
Took me over a year to finally get the end of this episode with the flashbacks with both mother and daughter crying, but for different reasons. It could be said they are both having those same flashbacks - NN is reliving them as expressions of her mother's chronic negative emotions toward her: disgust, disappointment, anger, extreme discipline, insults, degradation, public shame, belittling, etc., while the mother is seeing those same flashbacks as an huge "oops, I messed up to the point my daughter has decided to alienate herself from the entire world and everyone in it just so she won't hurt anymore". The realization that the mother experienced was that she turned her spunky, sassy, intelligent, creative, strong, willful, talented, sweet, loving daughter into an emotionless, mechanical robot who had finally given up trying to get just a simple smile from her own mother. Mother was suddenly filled with regret but after all those years of so much hurt, NN was done with giving second chances and allowing 'do overs' to those who constantly hurt, betrayed, abandoned and neglected her; she left her mother/family, her home, her fiancé, and even her freedom just to preserve herself.
@r10greyhoundsrule87, excellent and keenly astute observations regarding NN isolating herself to preserve something of herself following all the betrayal in her life... and the way both mother and daughter were likely to have experienced the same flashbacks through their very different perspective/experience. I agree that this is one of the best cdramas ever made and so skillfully executed by all involved in it.
I'm in tears after watching this episode. Her mother's regret of her previous actions is heartbreaking. The part that really got me was when she stated she missed her daughter’s lovely attitude and that Niao Niao has become overly composed. It goes a long way to show that we don't cherish what we have until we lose it.😥
The mother’s going through the road of self guilt and regret for treating Shaoshang like a soldier instead of a loving daughter. If Shaoshang truly forgives her parents for abandoning her before leaving for the war along with her twin brother, the harsh treatment she received from her father’s family and from her own mother, it’s a small step towards the road of forgiveness. It’ll take time for the family to be fully healed, especially for Shaoshang.
I think the lie was when he said he didn't regret. He did regret it, he regretted it even before he did it. I'm sure that's why he only wanted to die, he didn't want to live having thrown away everything (her love, the empress's affection, the emperor's trust, all those years spent looking for a solution that would bring Ling Yi to justice the legal way, and why not, Zisheng's own life as well) for this vengeance that demanded to be taken. He gave up willingly and knowingly. How could he claim regret after that? But he did regret it. And of all his tragic tale, the only thing she heard was, "I don't regret". Well, to heck with his conviction. He made his choice. I'm sorry for him. But sorry, not sorry.
@@pirimpallopirimpalli4932 Also, he's willing to die knowing how betrayed his beloved was going to feel, not a word of apology, not an acknowledgment of his own deception. SHE had to live with that while he's happily avenged and dead? Gah, I say!
@@tashaonly exactly! The world doesn't stop turning just because you're out of it. He could tell himself that she was better off without him, but what about her heart? And what about all the backlash from his deeds? If she hadn't proven him innocent, she might have been blamed for all his crimes. And we know there were plenty of people more than happy to take it out on her. Her family was not so powerful, they could be dragged down as well (even if they hadn't helped him that night).
@@tashaonly if he did, he was foolish. If he didn't, he was heartless. If he didn't consider it at all, he was less smart than he's proven to be all along. No way out of this.
I honestly feel for Shaoshang so much this episode - even more so than in other episodes. Time and time again, the people who were supposed to love and cherish her abandoned her for a greater cause that was without a doubt more important. Time and time again, she has had to settle for second and even third place in terms of importance when it came to who needed the most attention and affection. Her parents abandoned her to fight in a war, her aunt stayed with her uncle in another country, her mother gave her affections to her cousin, and even her first fiance had to leave her to marry his previous fiancee at the request of the Emperor. And every time, she never complained because she understood that these things are more important than her. I haven't even mentioned the times where she faced injustice both outside and within her own family household and all the while was expected to just take it. All she has ever wanted was to feel loved and accepted for who she is and to not have to just take whatever injustice is thrown at her with a tightly-closed lip. She has been abused, neglected and bullied by pretty much everyone around her and even still, she's expected to just take it for the greater good. This was the last straw for her; Zisheng's abandonment and subsequent admission that he wouldn't regret was pretty much the nail in the coffin for her. He essentially manipulated his way into her heart, gaining her love and trust while everyone else was hammering into her the importance of unity and understanding between two married people. She compromised on more than one occasion and wasn't afraid to put Zisheng first because that's what you do when you love someone. And while we can all understand (as well as empathize with) his intentions of wanting to protect her and prevent her from enduring the consequences of his actions... You can't really deny the stupidity of such actions either. Because let's be honest - if he didn't want to get her involved, then he shouldn't have proposed marriage in the first place. The moment he asked for her hand in marriage was the moment he should've fully accepted her role as an equal partner, even on his path of revenge. She's proven time and time again that she was capable and willing to stand at his side no matter what. It makes sense that he would remain stubborn enough to try and keep her away from that path given his backstory and difficulty trusting others, but at the same time, he's a big, fat hypocrite for forcing her to open up to him and not doing so himself. Just like she said; she understood him and why he did it, but he didn't understand her well enough to see the pain that he was causing as a result of trying to protect her. Like how is this any different than the time her mother humiliated her in front of the imperial family just to 'protect' her from marrying someone who she perceived to be a bad fit for her daughter? I dunno what he expected at the end when he waited for her at the gate, but it better have not been forgiveness. The fact that he expected to die and not have to face the consequences of betraying someone he loved speaks VOLUMES about how much he understands her. Were I in her shoes, I would've done the same thing minus the forgiveness at the end. I'll admit, I'm probably more petty that Shaoshang and I would not have taken him back - mainly because I would want him to eat his own words of not regretting his choice to abandon me after giving him SO many chances to come clean. Well, that and I dunno if I would want to open my heart up to him ever again. That's kind of my main issue with the last few episodes - it felt too rushed and didn't properly feel like he earned her trust back. But maybe that's just me. Other than the rushed sense of trying to wrap up everyone else's storylines as well, I still liked the ending somewhat.
The ending truly feels very much rushed. Just he admitted to that Lou lady before her & she's gone case again.... She forgot all the manipulation & that not regret admitting part before Emperor & Empress....
@@tealhiid oooh I hope we can see it without having to watch only 1 episode a day. I knew they had to rush to produce the final episodes because of scheduling issues...but I didn't know they'd do a re-release next year. This is my third time watching, so I'll totally watch it all over again when it is released!
he never expected to have all his gates closed when peng kun was killed by Ling yi that was his last straw killing ling yi in that manner was never his plan he wanted to prove ling yi's mis doings but he couldn't which made him take that step he knew shaoshang would be involved but didnt expect his plan to go bad and even though she does have abandonment issues in the long run this was for the best for her and her family because no one knew he was huo wushang then even if not her this was the best decision for her family as a whole his aunts and peng kuns death was the final straw for him which made him kill ling yi since he knew he couldn't convict him of his crimes him telling he has no regret was hurtful but most would probably choose the same if they were being honest with themselves he needed a closure from his past and having her live than dying for me would be something most would choose
I love the way how niao niao character is portrayed. It not always about disciplining and protecting someone in their way. Sometimes one should ask the person how he wants it to be done. I'm totally in love with niao niao and how the storyline showed this sensible and delicate feelings in such a way. Kudos 👏 👏👏👏
The Empress is one of my favorite characters. In this episode, I cried for her. She was being 100% honest and admitted how she really feels. I can just imagine what her character has been through. She wasn't lying. As we see, in this whole drama, the Emperor has paid more attention and spent more time with his consort than with his wife, the Empress. While watching this drama, it makes you question their relationship. Who really is the Empress and who is the consort? There were times when the consort told and tried to explain to the Empress that her relationship with the Emperor wasn't like that. Like the Empress, we the viewers are like what do you call it. When a man spends more time with another woman and givers her all his time and love and affection, instead of being with his wife. What do you call it? Looking at the Emperor's face, you can tell he knows he screwed up. He knows he hasn't been a good husband to the Empress. I think he wanted to explain himself and explain how he feels, but the Empress is done. I think she's like what's the point in staying in a marriage when your husband loves someone else, Why should she continue to be jealous and feel that way?
Don't forget that the Concort was the emperor's wife FIRST and then the empress 's father financed the war so the emperor with his 1st wife's blessing made the 2nd wife empress but his one true love was the Concort
But I agree that he ...they ..should have kept their feelings to themselves and not let the Empress feel badly and unloved seeing them being loving and joking together
@@yvonnettabushell6040 I know that but still, the Emperor should have made things clear with both women or at least treated them equally. Whenever he had a problem or was caught up in an argument, the one who was always there was his first wife, the consort. Whenever the 3 of them had a scene, when the Empress tried to give her opinion or advice, did the Emperor listen? Did he ever take the Empress feelings into consideration or think how she felt about things? No. He cared more about his first wife, than he did her. Truth is, he should been fair and treated them fairly. Equally. So the Empress wouldn't feel the way she do
@@yvonnettabushell6040 yes, you are right on about their situation. Let's we step back and look at his first wife. She didn't get the Empress title ,and then have to accept another woman to join in their marriage circle because first wife wasn't wealthy. The Empress family wealth to support the Emperor and to save the country.
The Emperor does love the Empress; he loves them both. “ But I do love you.” is the look on the Emperor’s face I read. It appears because of the Empress’s nature he thought things were not this bad for her. The Emperor should have been more empathetic to how she might feel; the Empress should have mentioned her true feelings in a mature womanly way. All of that being said, I admire and like their ( all three) relationship as a whole. Everyone respects and listens to one another. BTW, you can’t control the heart. The Emperor as a man has done well so far. He complains sharing his worries with both women, together and independently. He spends time with each wife. He admires and respects both wives. He listens to both wives. He shows love and devotion to both wives. All of them are on the same team. External factors react with/to each wife for each’s character and history. I respect the man of this Emperor portrayed.
I was thankful for the brief comic relief that the Emperor and Consort Yue brought when they took turns kicking that babbling official but then everything continued being heavy again 😭
This is so Epic, this is no regular silly Chinese drama . This is a work of art, a master piece of cinema! From costumes to the buildings, actors and directors and everyone who made this drama possible. Absolutely love this Drama!!!! Bravo when you can make people of another time and culture feel every laughter, tear, passion, betrayal, excitement along with the story and transport them into the Drama. You are truly gifted. Excellent
Huo Buyi did one thing all the others couldn't do. He broke and dammaged NiaoNiao and only because he didn't dare to trust her. His biggest mistake was that he abandoned her like her parents did but his action hit her even more because she really, really loves him and gave him her heart and trust. He did it to protect her and her family but the way he did it was cruel and redundant, so not nesaccary. Also what you see isn't a growing up but a person who is in deep pain and is trying to handle it. At the same time she is rebuilding the wall arround her heart so nobody can do it again. I wonder how Niao Niao will go through all this. Her body and mind will be exhausted going through this phase and you can become serioussly ill. Also I don't think this is what you want your child to become. Compared with how she was before. What you see is a woman that stayes a live but isn't living. It's so sad and even more sad that they don't see it. What is even more sad is that they really love each other. The acting is really great. I cried, laughed , got angry or frustrated. Really great actors.
Everyone seem to missed or didn't remember 3rd Prince had the Tiger and he was so worried his wife said to him the Tiger can move to another safer place and he believed her. The Tiger gone missing. Niao Niao helped out by carved the wood to look a like. 3rd Prince asked General for help. He knew if it this fake Tiger get out can lead to Niao Niao would be in a big trouble too. This is about a country matter. People can get jail time. General had to cover up this by replaced his only Tiger he had from the Emperor gave to his uncle. So that was the biggest thing that Niao Niao did without come to General first. He knew certain things he can't trust. He loves her deeply to his soul and willing to protect her. She is 15 no background on politics or education to backup. She is just studying a life skills from the hands-on Empress and being in the Palace not long enough to know who is for her and who isn't. General is a high Rank in the military ,and some the Issues is a top secret can't share with your family.

Congratulations to the Whole team of Love Like The Galaxy for winning the awards by Tencent. This drama deserves those awards. Waiting for this episode. The story is being more intended, interesting & bold as the drama is coming to end 🥰♥️
They Deserve it so much, all of them is well on action, I want to see them in a modern drama, Leo Wu and Zhao Lusi are deserve to having an award of best Couple of the Movie.
To those in the live who were mad at Niao Niao's decision, let's look at it from her point of view. Look, her mother neglected her for all these years whereas the empress took care of Niao Niao when she was at her lowest. So of course, Niao Niao would go to help the empress when the empress is at her lowest. To Niao Niao, the Empress is more of a mother than Niao Niao's own mother. Niao Niao's Mother is now feeling how Niao Niao felt when she neglected her. Now, the Huo Buyi part, so Huo Buyi didn't trust her enough. He refused to tell her but despite this Niao Niao still stuck with him. She has been enduring this for too long. He had been pushing all of her buttons. The last button made her lose it and divorce him. Yes, they both loved each other but did they trust each other enough? No. In conclusion, in my eyes what Niao Niao did was reasonable. Neither Ling Buyi or her mother thought of the consequences. The Cheng Family, Huo Buyi and the viewers have all lost the Niao Niao we've known at the first episode. ANYWAYS AMAZING EPISODE LIKE ALWAYSSS :DDD
To say this broke NN spirit is an understatement. Even her mother recognized it and none of them like it. Oh how times have changed. As for the General, I would never give someone a second chance to hurt me, so I am good with her decision. Time heals all wounds and they both need to grow up. He needs to appreciate what he lost and regret it.
The Empress so far has been one class act! I was relieved she was able to finally tell the Emperor what she endured all those years & what she yearned for. If I could of, I would have held her as she did Niao Niao.....The music during her plea was so on point....💔
You'll notice that zisheng panics a little when shaoshang asks to break it off. He just admitted that he didn't regret hurting her for revenge but deep down he really doesn't want to lose her. He is taking her for granted, DEFINITELY. He "does" love her, that obvious, BUT...he did not drop his suicide schemes. He knew where his acts would lead him. He was expecting to die. It's sad because he gave up a long time ago. And the fact that he was ok with hurting the one person he has truly loved. I am both pissed off and sad for them both.
The character of the empress needs to be studied. I can't believe she could voice out after enduring for decades...all thanks to Niao Niao that gave her courage and inspiration 🥰 Future viewers won't understand the pain of waiting for every episode of this drama 😭😭😭 it's killing
As much as I can sympathize with Zisheng and why he didn’t want to implicate Shaoshang’s family, he took a bite oath at his aunt’s funeral that he would not abandon her, but he knew exactly what he was planning to do already. He completed his “mission” without telling Shaoshang about it even though she would’ve been more than willing to help. She knew all along that he was hiding stuff from her but still got her family involved to save him! What really got to me was when she finally got to the scene and he told her that this is the end of him and they will never see each other again. He was so full of rage that there was no compassion towards her. He should’ve never proposed to her, asked for her trust and love if he was going to be this cold. After hearing that he had no regrets abandoning her, that was her que to end the engagement. Abandonment is the one thing Shaoshang cannot forgive because that has been her lifelong struggle and people have always rubbed it in her face. I am so proud of Shaoshang standing up for herself and ending the engagement. She was never asked for a proper proposal and she was the one who ultimately ended it! Good for her 👏🏼 I loved that this scene was included because although she is young, she treasures loyalty the most. I know it may not be popular to say this, but I would be okay with them not ending up together in the end. They both made lots of mistakes in their relationship but the difference is that, Shaoshang grew and changed from them. In my opinion, she deserves someone that will treat her better.
I agree with you completely and in away I would have liked her to end up with the other one he loved her from the start as well and waited for her all those years
He also deserves someone who will also treat him better, it's good they are going their separate ways unfortunately being c-dramas of course they will have to end up together
The way each scene ends and each episode ends is like I am there flowing with the events. Niao niao did exactly what should be done in such circumstances and Wushang did exactly what he should have done...I am beginning to feel the love extend beyond the screen towards me... outstanding.
The way ss stands for herself and in the last the decision to be with the empress is something everyone should learn 💪 but the pain of a joyful girl becomes like this is heart wrenching 💔 😢
A little detail that i loved... How niao niao's hairstyle changed as she matured but yangyang's remained the same coz she never went through the hardships nn went thru n how nn was forced to grow up n mature too fast💔😭
I live how both Niao Niao and the Empress both speak their minds to their men this ep! They poured all their resentments into those words. Niao Niao more numb, the Empress more emotional from the suppression. Just perfect!
When she walked out part of him died . They both spoke the truth and he knew from that moment there was no turning back for him without Niao Niao in his life 😔
When the emperor found out Li Buying is actually his son's friend Hua Wusang who taught died a long time ago, he was relieved or happy crying and embracing Hua Wusang tightly. This scene made me cry too. 😭😭😭
In the last episode, when Shaosheng was talking to the Empress and said their relationship ended, I was hoping maybe, just maybe he would regret what he did to her. Hearing that he doesn't regret anything, clarifies everything. Yes, he loves her, but now does he deserve her forgiveness. As much as I love, Huo WuShang, right now I'm like Shaosheng. During this whole drama, he protected her, got to know her, and fell in love with her. But now, it sounds like he was just using her. Using love and getting married as an excuse to keep her by his side until he was finished with her. I'm glad she asked him that question. You can tell just by watching this drama, she's been trying so hard to understand him. Get to know the real Huo WuShang, instead of just him being a general. But like she asked, did he ever understand her? Did he ever try to get to know the real her? Like her, I understand why he did what he did, but now it seems like everything between them was a lie. Like I her, I feel like nothing between them was sincere and genuine. I can see why she wanted to end their relationship. She was honest and sincere with her feelings, but after everything that happened and him admitting himself that he had no regrets for abandoning her... I believe he does love her and doesn't want to hurt her. But now, after what he did, it's best to just end things for now and take some time apart. I believe if any woman was in her shoes they would have done the same thing. The feeling of being betrayed, abandoned, and being used by someone you love, it's best to just end things and give each other space.
I think he does regret his actions towards her, but also realizes that he's not going to get out of the situation scot-free. At the very least, he'll probably be banished to some hell-hole, and doesn't want to drag her and her family down with him. Plus, she already told him by the cliff, that she would never forgive him. This is a man who hasn't known true love and devotion since he was 6 years old. As a child, he lived in constant fear of being exposed. Plus, he had a crazy aunt who reminded him every chance she got, that he had to avenge the entire family - it was all up to him. The 3rd Prince even told Shaosheng about how difficult Zisheng's childhood was, growing up in the palace. In the few months that she has lived there, she learned firsthand what a viper's nest it was. And he was just a traumatized little boy when he entered the palace. Considering those 2 nasty princesses, I bet his life was hell - even if the Emperor and Empress cared for him. Like any child who has been bullied, he felt isolated and alone. So, even if he does feel regret - and by his tears we all know he does, he also feels like he can't be forgiven. Not by her or anyone else. He breaks my heart.
@@patriciaking7150, I know but, at the same time, he should have thought about her more. Trusted her more. You can't just see it from his side and point of view. You have to see it from hers. Both of them didn't have a good life but still... This girl was ready and willing to go to the end of the world with him, but like him, she wanted to be loved and he like she had in him, but what I'm saying is it led to this. That's why I said, for now, it's best they had some pace and time apart from each other/

@@yvonnettabushell6040 I never said he didn't love her, but to Shaoshang that's how it sounds to her. To her it sounds like he used her. She says she understands why he did it, but what she doesn't understand is that the reason he didn't tell her was because he wanted to protect her. He didn't want her getting involved because he knew he knew he would be in trouble. He knew he would have to face the consequences.
The whole episode was heartbroken i can't stop crying.. His Majesty is very lucky to have such a good wives and children.. it's really hard for Niao Niao's mother 🥺🥺..
Hell, I sympathize with everyone, Huo Buyi, Niao Niao, and the Empress. Huo Buyi needed his revenge and he also needed to protect Niao Niao and her family from his crimes. Niao Niao needed Huo Buyi to trust and rely on her the same way he wanted her to trust him when she was getting bullied by the 5th Princess. She was willing to die with him if need be so I really understand her disappointment. The Empress needed to finally take control of her own life and put herself and her needs first.
Wow. This was so intense. The most emotionally charged episode, the entire time. Shit, the end with her mom actually took me by surprise and was so heavy to watch, I cried silently during it. Shit, one of the best episodes of a drama I've ever seen. Her mom regrets how she treated her in the past, but it's too late. Shaoshang decides to leave her family and stay with the one person who's stood by her side ever since she met her. She's choosing loyalty indeed, but also she's choosing the person who has cared for her the most enduringly. She's abandoning her mom and Huo Buyi just like they abandoned her. She's teaching them the lesson, forcing them to go through the same pain they forced her to experience. It's a bittersweet win, but also loss. It's complex and it aches, so much, on all sides. The music was so powerful in that scene, and the poem (?) heartaching. The empress scene reflects how much influence Shaoshang has had on her, and it's also a hard scene to watch, painful, but she's finally doing what's right for her. Wow. I'm truly blown away by this episode. Majestic. I have no idea what's gonna happen next! Could have been an ending in itself, but oh it would have been harsh for our little hearts.
Even if this drama can end now I will be satisfied, because Hou Buyi, stirred Niao Niao's emotions and made her, literally, fall in love with then decided to leave her. So how she has responded to what he did, it is well with me
The ultimate is to "Love Like The Galaxie" which is to overcome one's self and transcend the Ego with its lower emotions and desires=unconditional love as the drama continuous.
I've watched Lusi in so many roles. But she portrays this cold heartbreak, icy devastation with such elan, I've never seen her equal. She's perfect with her numbed face, controlled expression. Complete, utter heartbreak. My god i get goosebumps watching her.
This drama is the best I have seen. The story is fabulous and the acting fantastic. The casts in this drama do not rely on heavy make-up, only their superior acting skills. Kudos to everyone involved in this drama. Hope to see more like it.
There were a lot of things that ended in this episode. Empress Xuan gave up her position, Crown Prince is no more, Huo Buyi's time at the capital, Yuanyi finally coming to realise the things she did wrong with CSS but being too late about it, and a rather official end to CSS and HBY's relationship. This was such a heartbreaking episode, I cried literally every 5 minutes.
18:45, seriously zisheng? A few seconds ago you told the empress that you already decided to abondon her and doesn't regret it. Now, whats there to explain. Like she said she understands him, his hardships but he never understood her. Dude still doesn't realise that his mistake is not keeping her by his side and hide it all from her. All she wanted was honesty. But he never told her about anything. If you don't regret then why trouble yourself to explain? And explain for what? No explanation can repair her heart and trust now. And what was that waiting for 6 hours. He is really taking her for granted. Be it protection or foolishness, he still chose revenge over her and that's the truth.
This was a lose-lose situation for Huo Buyi. He can't regret hurting SS because it would mean the revenge was for nothing. He can't also regret taking revenge for his family.
2 things came to mind in this episode. When Niao Niao said "Tell him to forget the past" she meant for him to forget her, but more importantly, for him not to lose himself anymore over what happened in the past. When Huo Buyi said to himself "if she is betrayed, she will never forgive" it reflected on his true character as well as it did for Niao Niao. Both of them still have heaviness in their hearts. As sad as this parting is, it will allow both of them to get past all the "baggage" for a lovely reunion.
The relationship between niao niao and her mom in this episode brought me to tears. Talk about Good parenting that shows children that they are loved, cared for, cherished and precious, the best of the best but still with room to become more beautiful. All these and much more that still stem from love and understanding helps avoid a lot of trouble, pain and devastation in the family. It's just simply heartbreaking. Parents can do so much better when it comes to speaking the language children understand. Cheers to the wonderful parents out there, Good parenting really isn't easy but it is attainable. Be the first understanding friend your child ever experiences. Let them know how wonderful they are while working on their shortcomings. Like a song says, "show them all the beauty they have inside and give them a sense of pride to make it easier". Children are indeed a rare and beautiful gift to be treasured
The Lost Tomb all seasons, The Untamed, Word of Honor, The Long Ballad and now Love Like the Galaxy... These are the only Chinese dramas, I am so in love with. No matter how many times you watch it, its just beautiful everytime. A roller coaster ride of emotions, the production, and everything, even the minute details.. It's really commendable. And many more dramas are on the way. I am really looking forward to the last 6 episodes of Love Like the Galaxy as it comes to an end. Superb!!!!! Lots of love to the chinese entertainment industry.. Hope you grow to more heights and give us more beautiful dramas.
It was saddening to see Zisheng at his lowest point after seeing him so fierce and serious the entire drama! Also losing Shaoshang was really a great loss for him. Shaoshang's mother had never treated her fairly the entire drama and she wanted her to stay home with the Chengs? It's too late to change now and that is why Shaoshang chose to stay at a Cold Palace because that is the place that showed her the most love. Bittersweet ending to a wonderful well-acted drama!
If there’s any lesson learnt, it’s never to ignore people’s character. If they show you who they truly are, never go beyond thinking you can change them. They’ll never change. ShaoShang from the beginning was a character who never let bygone be bygones. You get what you present to her. But these people still went ahead to betray her. Sorry, she won’t forgive you.
Niaoniao already lost herself after being betrayed by the one person she trusted and loved the most. Some people here say she is self-centered character when in fact she never felt prioritized her whole life since the beginning of her birth she was abandoned and never fought for. She was always bullied growing up and almost died because she is starved. It happened again her childhood trauma and she even got more depressed when ling buyi decided to leave for war and did not pursue her or ask forgiveness or show regret. Makes her decide to wish for them to never meet. 💔🤧
The Emperor, Empress and the Third Prince were all heartbroken for Niao Niao. I would have loved to have seen the Emperor yell at Buyi for treating Niao Niao like that.
This part must have been mixed with a lot of feelings for every actor/actress. From the beginning niao niao showed that she was loyal and would stand with those who treat her right. Now everyone is getting the other side of sweet niao niao because they didn’t think to ask her or consider what she wanted or could give. Her mom decided she was not good enough and wanted to shape her in something she was not. General huo fell in love with her brave heart and strong character but forgot to ask her what she wanted too. This scene must have been hard for niao niao and her mom to do because in the drama she is cold to niao , but in real life she is so sweet to her. In a back stage clip you can see them always together and playing. She is taking care of niao and even lets her seat on her lap.
Idk bout y’all, but NN watching her mother cry as the gates closed? Unparalleled-unbridled joy even. It broke my heart watching NN’s mom beat her at the beginning of the series. To watch NN become a composed more mature lady under the empress’s tutelage, to see her put together the pieces of HB’s plot, and the fallout of said revenge-everything to this point was scripted out so beautifully-but NN’s mom crying bc she realized how she played a part in NN’s suffering and how she regrets it? chefs kiss
The writing and script and all the actors and actresses especially Leo Wu continue to give award-winning performances!! His answer to the emperor about why he feels the crown prince is not strong enough to be a cp is just amazing performance! Leo Wu and Zhao Lusi may never get such a well-written series and an amazing production crew again. How many other series get viewers to rewatch repeatedly because there is just so much innuendos and plots and schemes throughout this whole series? Truly a once-in-a-lifetime production deserving every award that it received!
this drama deserve an award lousi derserve best actress award leo wu deserve best actor award and best director award for the director of this drama best script writer award for the script writer best costume designer award for the designer 💃💃💃💃💃💃
Absolutely love this show. So proud being a Chinese student abroad and rewatching it with so many people across Chinese and non-Chinese platforms. Also love reading the comments as it's so interesting that people from different cultural background really get very different points from the most dramatic scenes.😆 Just not sure if it's because of the copyright that they need to edit it? Almost 80%the sound track of many scenes here on RUclips is different from the original one I watched on our Chinese website, such as the flute that 33 plays and many other bakcground music and so on. Feel like it def affects the vibes and emotions that it passes on to the audience.
Interesting! I wonder If Zhao Lusi and Wu Lei are aware of their following in the West because of this drama as well as "The Long Ballad"? Would you happen to know if this drama can be had on DVD with the right sound track and subs??
One of the best drama wid full of emotions,feelings,love,respect,revenge........im despirately waiting for this episode....Child feelings also matters .. Nio Nio has a pain of abondance from childhood. Now she is going to serve her Majesty...becoz she is the only one who show her love to her when she wanted most in life🤗🤗. Main leads r perfect . Nio Nio best acting Her face show pains suffering👌
I had promised myself not cry when Niao's mother regretting but ended up shading tears 😭😭😭😭.Am I the only one coz the way she has been treating her is not good as a mother. She never encouraged her, the part when I will never forget "when she exposed her in the public " .though I cried but let her fill it. Why separating am talking about Niao Niao (zhao lusi ) ling buyi (Leo wu) .please Niao Niao for give him quickly coz am happy seeing you too together ❤️
The General and Niao Niao are both young actors in age i would like to say they showed matured and are doing a splendid acting talent in the character roles along with the whole cast. congratulations to all the producers, writers, directors, scenery, dress wear, music. this is a excellent DRAMA for all who help make it i hope it gets many AWARDS it was never a dull moment it held your interest eager for the next episode. 9/10/22
What a heartbreaking episode💔 Shaoshang never thought Huo Buyi would ever Abandoned her. She gave him her trust and love. He didn’t give her his trust.💔 She was willing to do it together but he chose to do it alone. Shaoshang is truly heartbroken. It’s so sad to see these two separate.
This episode hits me too hard because I know exactly what she's feeling. I've been through a lot of the same things as her. Even if you get better later, you never actually heal. Theres always going to be dents in the armor and scarrs on the heart and soul.
Merci
The Empress's request to be deposed, and how she pleaded and expressed all her hidden grievances made me cry my eyes out... Such a Graceful, magnanimous and sweet Lady,I think she truly deserves the life she wants!...😭😭😭. I Love Her,and I also Love her for showing Niao Niao the Love of a Mother..😭😭😭
So many beautiful layers of love in this show - romantic love, parental love, national love, friendship love, honorable love. Forgiving love. So beautiful.
After all these years bottled up inside the Empress finally let it go . This is really gonna hurt her physically. Such a great performance from these two 🏆🏆🏆🏆
This show and the little details! I just noticed that when LB is admitting to abandoning NN and not regretting it, even the 3rd Prince face was like "damn dude, really?"
Excellent production! Today, as previous episodes taps into our emotional well. I think the comments of our RUclips community captures so many insights into today’s episode. However, I don’t agree with the divisiveness of opinions. I believe each character was written to be true to themselves in this episode. SS, HB/LB, the Empress and even the Emperor. On a rewatch, what stood out to me for our ML’s as we go into the ending of our drama, is we are back at the beginning again… SS has made the decision to isolate herself in the cold palace. She has now broken a tie with her family. Yes, the Empress loves her like a mother, but it still isn’t her mother. Her departure is like putting her ❤in insulation…cold and barren. Her ❤can’t take any more hurt. HB/LB is going off to serve at the boarder and live on for LB. He’s back in isolation, no family or ❤ones with him. Yes, he has loyal servants and troops, but that is not family. Both ML’s leaving is juxtaposed, one upon the other. Showing the hurt, betrayal, self imposed isolation and hopefully, a space to heal and mature. The OST in this production isn’t given enough attention! The soulfulness of the flute as SS is walking around deciding her next steps was very touching. The bittersweetness of her decisions did not come easily. Also, the song at the end of the episode was very touching. I need the 2 day rest and recovery before we go into our final week of the drama. And then, I can binge watch without the wait. Again, I share as many have, that LLTG has set the standard in every aspect for any new c-drama productions! I hope the awards for it continue to come in for a job well done🎉
100% agree on this. Also too heartbroken that the original sound tracks are missing due to copy rights issues in you tube. It greatly adds to the intensity of those scenes.
I am crying for the empress. She is nice and sweet that feels not longer be happy. I think she really needs to find her happiness as well so she can be freely. 😭😢😥
That scene between LB and NN is breathtaking. I’m in tears whilst watching..every scene is worth waiting. I’ve watched some of the KD which are nicely done but this CD is astounding…am truly impressed how it’s been executed. I say, the story and characters are overwhelming with amazement. I enjoyed watching immensely❤️
Mamma general has always been fond of her elegant, obedience & talented niece. That's why she never let NN to take care of her when NN wanted to. Now all of a sudden her fav niece blackmailing NN with mamma's health & her marriage to stop NN from leaving!!! Isn’t that something indigestible??? Good that NN said the "filial piety or loyalty " line..... Served well.
I pondered over this episode a lot. Buyi is right in prioritizing his revenge given his story and the fact that that’s all his life has been centered around Niao Niao is also right for leaving Buyi over his betrayal. Afterall they made a blood oath never to abandon each other. It’s just unfortunate that their relationship was fated to clash against their values in this way. BUT If I was Buyi, I wouldn’t have started a committed relationship knowing my revenge was my no1 priority. And if I was Niao Niao, I would probably just be so glad Buyi came back to me alive and just forgive him but make him know any other betrayal means bye for life
The traumas that Huo Buyi and Shaoshang have suffered during their childhooods do, in my opinion, explain exactly how each ends up doing what they do in this devastating episode. Huo Buyi watched his uncle kill his father; saw all his siblings' bodies as well as his mother's, as well as the awful carnage of the massacre; suffered knowing his cousin ended up with his head on a spike because they changed clothes; had to spend 2 days hiding among dead bodies; spent two years begging his way back to the capital, with his insane traumatized aunt....He has suffered nightly nightmares in which the 3000 dead clamour to be avenged. Shaoshang was abandoned by her parents and left to the abusive, neglectful care of silly grandma and malevolent aunt, her intellectual brilliance wasted, and her heart starved of all affection. It is amazing that they each grew into a strong, effective, brilliant person; but it is not surprizing that he, obsessed with guilt and vengeance, and she, insecure and love-starved, hurt one another terribly, and at this point, can no longer stay together. It is fascinating to watch the two characters develop and grow; this series is pure gold all the way through; no wasted by-ways; everything is relevant to the plot and character growth. Minor characters are all beautifully realized, and many are worthy of their own stories.... The Emperor, and his two wives, are lovely; I get very tired of vain, shallow, comic emperors. This is worth any number of rewatches.
Emperor and Empress are great actors, let's appreciate the 3rd Prince he did everything to save buyi though the law is the law. After watching this episode I cried too much. This drama is epic 😎 👌 💕💕. Niao Niao "General Huo, let me go". Me:😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭.my poor Leo wu, I can't stop crying 😢. This drama is something else. Everything in this drama it's like They're Real 🥺🥺🥺
I have never seen such accurate, beautifully designed scenes in any drama that I've seen here. Director, cast, Cameramen, editors and...................... Wow.
Oh but he winds up hurting his knees the last time he kept kicking Buyi and Buyi kept bouncing back up just like those old-fashioned toys that keep bouncing back up after you knock them down. 😂😂😂😂
Every time I watch this series, and especially this episode, I see layers that I didn't notice before. Wu Lei is AMAZING in how many layers he can apply to his characters. Right around 19:19 in this episode, his eyes are still somehow not comprehending that Shaoshang is walking away from him. There's a hint of shock in the expression, just a subtle hint, which I suppose sets up his further shock later waiting by the palace gate when she doesn't come to see him. Amazing.
That was a powerful ending. Everyone needs an 🏆 for their portrayal as the characters for this drama ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. PLEASE DONT TELL ME ABOUT HOW MANY EPISODES I KNOW THAT . IAM TALKING ABOUT THE ENDING IN THIS EPISODE 🥹
The performances, the scripting, the story - everything is great. Those intense revelatory scenes; then the empress making that speech to express her true self. An amazing episode. Then we get the lighter moments with the Cheng family: dad and brothers creeping about trying to be consoling. Huo Buyi should understand Naio Naio very well because they both have a resolute spirit within them. Wonderful drama.
Only the empress truly understood Niao Niao and for that, she truly deserves NN’s undying loyalty.
The amount of satisfaction I felt when the emperor kicked that official Zuo who just keeps running his mouth and again Concubine Yue kicked him👏🏽 👏🏽
Yes! Agreed! Intense satisfaction!
I laughed so hard 😂
that guy was asking for it, in real life no official would dare do that in court
😂😂😂😂
but I like that official Zuo, he is just so complacent in his actions. He thinks he is right in everything without a care who is before him🤣🤣🤣
I cried a river when Empress Xuan finally let out all the things she is been keeping in her heart for all these years to the Emperor😭 She is one my favorite characters in the drama❤️
Mine too.
I second that
Me too! She truly loved the emperor with all her heart. I know the emperor loves her too but his love for her isn't the passionate kind of love like it is for the Consort but a respectful love for the empress. So sad for the empress.
The acting from absolutely EVERY character is amazing. All the side characters and main. SO GOOD!!!!
She doesn't truly love him at all. She said earlier she has never had that kind of feeling. And she just said she wants to marry someone else to feel the love of a husband. You are mistaking duty for love.
I really want the 3rd prince to have his own series. I love how his character was depicted and the actor played him perfectly
He's on falling into your smile too
He had also played his role in Lie to Love
Me too,I'm growing fond on him,he must get lead roles as well
@@rabqaliaqat956 Thanks
@@xolilenkosi7637 Oh, really? Been meaning to watch that
In this entire series, only the Empress and yuan had selfless love and admiration for Niao… no plotting and no back stabbing… they both loved her dearly…
Also her cousin-sister, aunt and uncle, brothers and her maid.
The dad also
Don’t forget Qiqi
Her 3rd aunt uncle, qiqi and her brothers too❤
More than the couple's breakup, I cried on her mother realizing how she did her wrong, but it was too late. This drama deserves all the awards. The actors the script the production everything is just topnotch.
Well said!!
i don't understand why she chose to be like that towards niao niao?? what was her purpose?
@@arilu89x mil? sil?? are you in a hurry to write?
@totellyouthetruth9892 those acronyms are quite common. Did you understand the comment?
Beautifully put
😢😢This is the best description 😢😢😢😢
She also had plenty of time to reflect on her own life and her life is now bearable because of the calm and loving nature of the empress.
It goes a long way to show that we don't cherish what we have until we lose it.😥
But she wanted her to become composed!
Also shows that you should always stay true to yourself…..never change for anyone.
Exactly, I couldn't hold my tears when the realization hit her mother hard. But it was too late
I don't feel for the mother though...too late shall be the cry
The mother’s going through the road of self guilt and regret for treating Shaoshang like a soldier instead of a loving daughter. If Shaoshang truly forgives her parents for abandoning her before leaving for the war along with her twin brother, the harsh treatment she received from her father’s family and from her own mother, it’s a small step towards the road of forgiveness. It’ll take time for the family to be fully healed, especially for Shaoshang.
When Buyi found out that Niao Niao heard everything that he had said. He was thinking "Oh shit there's no chance to lie to her now and get her back"!
@@pirimpallopirimpalli4932 Right? That Bad Minister held a grudge. He wanted to jail and interrogate her. Did ZiSheng think his death would stop that?
10 episodes were cut because of schedule issues. So next year they will release a new cut of the whole show with 66 episodes

he never expected to have all his gates closed when peng kun was killed by Ling yi that was his last straw killing ling yi in that manner was never his plan he wanted to prove ling yi's mis doings but he couldn't which made him take that step he knew shaoshang would be involved but didnt expect his plan to go bad and even though she does have abandonment issues in the long run this was for the best for her and her family because no one knew he was huo wushang then even if not her this was the best decision for her family as a whole his aunts and peng kuns death was the final straw for him which made him kill ling yi since he knew he couldn't convict him of his crimes him telling he has no regret was hurtful but most would probably choose the same if they were being honest with themselves he needed a closure from his past and having her live than dying for me would be something most would choose

I love the way how niao niao character is portrayed. It not always about disciplining and protecting someone in their way. Sometimes one should ask the person how he wants it to be done. I'm totally in love with niao niao and how the storyline showed this sensible and delicate feelings in such a way. Kudos 👏 👏👏👏
Essentially learn their love languages and their emotional needs as a whole being.
The emperor and empresses are such a great actors. The whole casting is great.
Love how they both kicked the nasty minister to try to shut him up. 🤣😂🤣

I was thankful for the brief comic relief that the Emperor and Consort Yue brought when they took turns kicking that babbling official but then everything continued being heavy again 😭

Betrayal is the hardest thing to get over I don’t think you ever do. Hmmm disappointed in this
Everyone seem to missed or didn't remember 3rd Prince had the Tiger and he was so worried his wife said to him the Tiger can move to another safer place and he believed her.
Wow your speech is rlly good!!!!
@@sangwansykes3203 , yes, LB tolerated her because of his deep love. She was not his equal and thus kept making mistakes by trying to impress him and others…because of her insecurities…and maybe young age.

I'm at Episode 53. I'm sad for General right now. I felt bad for him. Niao Niao is not forgive him.
I love that you get to see some of the Third Prince's compassion in this episode - especially when he is looking at Zisheng during the scene when CSS asks to break the betrothal.
This actress who play the empress role is so gracious and manigmonous as an empress indeed. She 's a wonderful actress .I love her in this role .She was the perfect one for this role .
Oh my what a gracious scene when she was imploring for her son .
Oh my .👏👏👏👏♥️🇨🇼🤗
I gotta say third prince had the pity face going hard when he realized Niao Niao was not gonna forgive Buyi. That was silent acting at its finest!
“Silent acting” seems to be a requirement these days among the popular actors and actresses , or perhaps it’s always been that way and that certain actors and actresses have become very proficient with their subtle facial expressions.
Congratulations to the Whole team of Love Like The Galaxy for winning the awards by Tencent. This drama deserves those awards. Waiting for this episode. The story is being more intended, interesting & bold as the drama is coming to end 🥰♥️
Wow🥰🥰

Aww they did! Cool didn't know it was on. Great script n cast
Perfect!! They deserve it
They Deserve it so much, all of them is well on action, I want to see them in a modern drama, Leo Wu and Zhao Lusi are deserve to having an award of best Couple of the Movie.
Well said 👏🏻
To say this broke NN spirit is an understatement. Even her mother recognized it and none of them like it. Oh how times have changed. As for the General, I would never give someone a second chance to hurt me, so I am good with her decision. Time heals all wounds and they both need to grow up. He needs to appreciate what he lost and regret it.
It's still childish in a way but understandable tho
U are right ✅
They end up together 😻❤❤
I can't believe she could voice out after enduring for decades...all thanks to Niao Niao that gave her courage and inspiration 🥰
Future viewers won't understand the pain of waiting for every episode of this drama 😭😭😭 it's killing
Tbh I also feel a tragic end will go with it if they cannot portray Zishang's proper repentance & efforts to get her forgiveness....
I agree with all you said except the part re not ending up together lol I love them together and well they will end up together yayyyyyyyyyyy
I completely agree with you💯Even if they don't end up together, I won't feel sad.
That is the amazing thing with Asian script writers, they understand how to draw the audience in and have them become part of all that is happening.
The way ss stands for herself and in the last the decision to be with the empress is something everyone should learn 💪 but the pain of a joyful girl becomes like this is heart wrenching 💔 😢
She really was never a joyful person growing up because of her aunt and grandmother who punished her.
@@yvonnettabushell6040 yes, but she moved about more carefree opposed to this state of depression and void!
They both spoke the truth and he knew from that moment there was no turning back for him without Niao Niao in his life 😔
and yet a very strong connection prevails.
@@vortex162 Yes very much so . Destiny is on their side
Here's a girl whose childhood was known better. Abandon by her parents when she was a baby, raised by an evil aunt and mistreated by her family, mistreated by her mother when her parent's comeback, and also bullied everywhere she turns. Both of them didn't have a good life but still... This girl was ready and willing to go to the end of the world with him, but like him, she wanted to be loved and he like she had in him, but what I'm saying is it led to this. That's why I said, for now, it's best they had some pace and time apart from each other/
@Patricia King you get it ...you are really watching the expressions and feeling portrayed....other viewers are just reading their our feelings into the scene .he did love her ..he never used her ..it was as you said
@@yvonnettabushell6040 I never said he didn't love her, but to Shaoshang that's how it sounds to her. To her it sounds like he used her. She says she understands why he did it, but what she doesn't understand is that the reason he didn't tell her was because he wanted to protect her. He didn't want her getting involved because he knew he knew he would be in trouble. He knew he would have to face the consequences.
@@patriciaking7150 love your comments. Right on points.
I knew this show is good but I never know it could be that goooooood!!! Big applause to all casts and staff. You all made a brilliant job!!!
I've been crying the whole episode
It's hard to wait again 2 days for next episode.. I am really excited how Ling Buyi & Shaoshang will reconcile after 5 years....!!😇
I am to…but emotionally, I think we all need a moment to heal. Both the cast and the viewing audience 😢
Leo Wu blew this episode outa the water with his acting!!
This part really broke my heart! Not to mention the Queen as well!
Explains why they jumped at the chance to work together again in Hidden Love.
Emperor and Heng Yue giving Official Zuo the foot . The third Prince came in to settle the score . Niao Niao gave him hindsight before hand 😏
I think the casting for Shashang'# family was excellent seeing them together they really resemble a family in looks.
Idk bout y’all, but NN watching her mother cry as the gates closed? Unparalleled-unbridled joy even. It broke my heart watching NN’s mom beat her at the beginning of the series. To watch NN become a composed more mature lady under the empress’s tutelage, to see her put together the pieces of HB’s plot, and the fallout of said revenge-everything to this point was scripted out so beautifully-but NN’s mom crying bc she realized how she played a part in NN’s suffering and how she regrets it? chefs kiss
I think standing up for yourself is true form of women empowerment, I love how both the empress and niao niao executed it.
It's not just a woman's thing!

Absolutely love this show. So proud being a Chinese student abroad and rewatching it with so many people across Chinese and non-Chinese platforms. Also love reading the comments as it's so interesting that people from different cultural background really get very different points from the most dramatic scenes.😆
Just not sure if it's because of the copyright that they need to edit it? Almost 80%the sound track of many scenes here on RUclips is different from the original one I watched on our Chinese website, such as the flute that 33 plays and many other bakcground music and so on. Shaoshang never thought Huo Buyi would ever Abandoned her.

So many beautiful layers of love in this show - romantic love, parental love, national love, friendship love, honorable love. Forgiving love. So beautiful.
WOW! Shaoshang did everything to clear HBY’s name even after he betrayed her and still he dumps her in the end..I didn’t expect that to happen.
the empress broke my heart, i'm glad she spoke up and told the emperor everything in her heart
On a rewatch, what stood out to me for our ML’s as we go into the ending of our drama, is we are back at the beginning again…
SS has made the decision to isolate herself in the cold palace.

Now all of a sudden her fav niece blackmailing NN with mamma's health & her marriage to stop NN from leaving!!! Isn’t that something indigestible??? Good that NN said the "filial piety or loyalty " line..... Served well.
I can hear Niao Niao telling her mother, "Too little too late" as they close the gate.
I just can't forgive her mother for treating niao niao like that.
I pondered over this episode a lot.
Buyi is right in prioritizing his revenge given his story and the fact that that’s all his life has been centered around
Niao Niao is also right for leaving Buyi over his betrayal.
The writing for this show is fantastic. I especially love the parallels.
Emperor and Empress are great actors, let's appreciate the 3rd Prince he did everything to save buyi though the law is the law. After watching this episode I cried too much. This drama is epic 😎 👌 💕💕.
Niao Niao "General Huo, let me go".

Lusi's mother in this drama was also her mother in Hidden Love , Right? 😅
I’m just in love with this Drama! The actress playing the Empress is so good! My favorite is Qiqi.. she’s so playful :)
Me too. ❤️ GiGi. They both were from First female student at Imperial College
I have never seen such accurate, beautifully designed scenes in any drama that I've seen here. Director, cast, Cameramen, editors and...................... Wow.
It's absolutely absolutely brilliant drama writers , I'm definitely keeping this one to watch again ☺️
I love this emperor kick 😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
Oh but he winds up hurting his knees the last time he kept kicking Buyi and Buyi kept bouncing back up just like those old-fashioned toys that keep bouncing back up after you knock them down.
😂😂😂😂

i don't think there will ever be another drama that felt this real with every single action and emotion.
Amazing.
WOW!!! What fine acting in this episode! Especially impressed with the Emperor, General Huo and even Shaosang's mother! This is really a masterpiece!

Congrats BEST CHINESE DRAMA EVER.
