Examining the nature of the beast.
"Because of this the bear cuscus is very slow, very lethargic and slothlike." Me too Cuscus. Me too
Unlike us, they don’t have to worry about health insurance and taxes.
😂 👍
2:55
🤔right...
Moral of the story: eat meat.
"Okay, what do you want to be?'
Cuscus: "I want to be a lemur. No, a sloth. No wait! An opossum! No wait, a binturong!"
This looks like somebody tried to draw a monkey from memory, then made it a marsupial
I got scratched by a cuscus once and so I went and put neon coloured bandaids on but when I came back to see the cuscus again it got really invested in my neon bandaids and scratched me even more. The moral of the story: don’t wear neon pink and green bandaids into cuscus territory.
No way. No one knows what these are
@@SoulDelSol Oceania moment I guess
Maybe the cuscus confuses them for leaves.
There are some others marsupials that are also rare and few know about them. I'd really like to know more about the water possum. World's only semi-aquatic marsupial. I think in a few million years they could evolve into marsupial whales 😂 imagine that
Amazing ! Thanks for this discovery !
Thatd be so cool having a marsupial whale, it probably give birth on the surface tho
Wow they are so cool! I had never heard of them before this. Absolutely love them
Can't happen bc how is it going to breath stuck in a pouch
@@SoulDelSol lol 😂🤣
For some reason calling someone a _"Cuscus"_ was a insult in a school I went to in Sydney Australia (pre internet), with full awareness of what it was.
Well people use sloth as a derogatory term and I could totally see a similar characteristic animal being thrown around like that. Australia moment!
Finally, leaser known animals are getting the spot, can you do bee flies next most people have never even seen one and when they do they are often terrified and try to swat them despite their ecological importance and being completely harmless to humans and animals in general they also look cute and weird like if a humming birds and bumble bee had a baby only down side is that their larva are parasitoid for other insects
Spotted Cuscus: "It's a miracle! It's an Australian Christmas bloody miracle!"
I’d love to see a video of the super rare giant japanese salamander! Love your videos💚
They did a video on the giant salamanders.
There's probably a video of one on RUclips. Do a search for it. It's real easy.
Cuscus, the creature so nice, they named it twice
I'm 51 years old and from the Philippines, but it's my first time to hear and know about these beautiful creatures.
Adorable little critter.
Never heard of? Bought one from Koki market, Port Moresby, sold as food, bought as a pet for my children. Nice, gentle creature.
Its so fascinsting that there are so many different mammals on this planet.
I had heard of this animal, but didn't know anything about them. Now that I do, they're one of my favorite marsupials. Thank you.
You are right, never heard of these nice animals before!
Learned a lot in this video, especially about how cute and special they are :) Diversity and evolution of nature seem almost endless!
I've never heard of a cuscus, what a beautiful animal.
You think you can talk about the blue spix's macaw next, please.
this animal used to be abundant in my locality 20years ago. Fascinating creatures.
Danielle,
Don't feel bad. I'm older than you and had never heard of the cuscus until one appeared in a RUclips video. What a fascinating creature.
You’re a beautiful human. Thanks for all the cool content
Very cute. They look similar to strepsirhini primates.
Que maravilla de programa.
No tenía idea de que existía este animal con estos bellos colores 😮
My favorite Disney character. David Spade did such a good job voicing him. :)
I have never heard of or seen of this creature- THANK YOU 🙏🏾
"Big...round...(zooms away from balls)...spots! " Got me! 😂
And these sweeties are EAST of "The Wallace Line", so within the Australian fauna area. It makes sense that they are marsupials.
Can you do the livestreams of drawing the animals weekly? It’s really relaxing to watch them
Excited to watch this!! I just recently learned about these fellows.
They really are like a mash-up of all the other marsupials. 😂
I just love marsupials. Oddly, my favorite feature of theirs are their hands.
Koalas and cuscuses, for example, have those amazing fingers and bird like claws 😊
This was so cool!! Thank you for the great video
I used to love the cuscus in like 3rd grade when I was obsessed with animals. I’m so happy they finally have their own video!
I really appreciate this channel. I love how you add a tad of humor and how you offer the information. And then all those cuuuuute animals! Amazing!! Thank you for being such a great inspiration!!
Wanna say I love these videos, and so does one of my cats! He comes in and watches the entire thing! Or we watch them together in the bed, lol. Thanks so much for making these.
"Cuscus"
Adorably exotic name, just like itself
Cuscus is also the name of one brazilian food, you don't know how scared i get when i saw that exist an animal called cuscus
Isn't the food spelled couscous?
@@e.s.lavall9219 None of my parents or friends spelled like that, so idk
Always a great video and 34 - I was thinking 22 - rock on and keep sending that awesome content
I'm majoring Biology Education now, and one of my task is to research Marsupials and from that task i learned about this species and suprisingly i found this animal actually from my country 😂😂😂
The cuscus is truly and enigma, fascinating and truly an excellent example of convergent evolution, i.e. monkeys, sloths, marsupials. Every video I watch I grow to appreciate the incredibly intricate artwork that represents the animal discussed. Wow factor 10+. Great video!
They looks somewhere between a possum and a lemur. Very cute
Danielle and I are pretty much the same age and I learned about Cuscus' from Jack Hanna when I was little. I think around 6 years old or so. I never forgot because of how much he talked about them smelling like popcorn.
Clicked on Animalogic Video after Years. Happy to see Danielle still with the Team!
its a cute slothy gecko cat monkey 💖 Hi Danielle
Hey, you asked for suggestions on other animals to cover. I grew up in a swamp on the East coast of central Florida in the 70s. There were these amazing large grasshoppers in our area that were bright yellow with large red and green spots. They moved very slowly, at a crawl or would else sit still, and avoided jumping. I thought they must be poisonous, but I wasn't sure. Over the years, I've looked for information on these grasshoppers but have never found mention of them. I'm not sure if they even still exist. Thanks.
you may be thinking of lubber grasshoppers! they're amazing!
I have never heard of this animal before!
Awesome!!
Damn… the Illustration at the beginning is breathtaking 👍🏼 Really well done
Love you Danielle! You make me smile and your love for animals is commendable!
Due to their arboreal life, cuscus seems to have evolved somewhat in a similar direction to primates, especially lemurs and other primitive monkeys.
wow! a new scruggly to add to the collection! I love them~ Maybe for an episode you could do fish with funny names like BoopsBoops or the fat innkeeper worm?
Make a video about mandrials, those monkeys with colorful faces😮 pleaseee🥲
i thought they were some type of lemurs at first. their existence reminds me that marsupials are incredibly diverse & adaptable animals. thank you for sharing! :)
I knew about them but somehow keep forgetting they are marsupials. (no idea why). Bit of a marsupial sloth/monkey combo.
Very cute.
Here was me thinking there was only one noun in the world pronounced like "cooscoos"
Yet here is this cutie, and there is the couscous in the supermarket!
Thank you for consistently expanding my knowledge or animals with lovely entertaining videos
These things look like a possum and a lemur did the forbidden dance
As a kid I used to collect sticker albums, one of the very first I had was about wildlife, the cuscus was there, it seemed pretty interesting but I never searched about it until 25 years later I came across your video, it's amazing to actually see it 😍 it feels like going back in time, great job 🙌🏿
Aahhh yess cuscus from my country
Hopefully Animalogic can make a video about a red cat from Kalimantan, the cat is almost extinct n not a lot of people know bout this creature
Heard of the cuscus back in the 90's. I forget what the commercial was about, but one of the things the announcer said was to the effect of "Ever have a cuscus on your head?" There was a cuscus clinging to the guy's head, probably just hanging around.
Fuzzy tree goblin. I love him.
Hi Danielle! 👋🏿😎 Your illustrations and presentations are always awesome!!!! Thank you for sharing the vids. #Cuscus! 👏🏿🙌🏿👍🏿
I’ve heard of them, but when I ate one at a Moroccan restaurant I assumed it was some kind of cereal. How do they turn them into those little granules?
Has more like a rice like texture or bulgur texture 🤣
no because this is the realest channel on yt sometimes love y’all!!!
Yes! I have been waiting for this one for a while.
Looks beautiful and slow, but really scary at night
Soo cuuute! But for me the weirdest animal will always remain the platypus.
I knew cuscuses existed but didn't realise there were more than one species! (I'm Australian)
One thing hasn't changed- I LOVE THEM
Amazing video
Espectacularrrrrr. Gracias Animalogic.
Bahahah! “Big round…spots” nicely done
Awesome. I heard this animal before since I used to live in that large island
oh a panther-monkey. They seem like they would be friends with Yapoks, Kinkajous, and Binturongs.
Did she really say these things can jump between branches? Yes she did!!😆😆😂😂🤣🤣
New drinking game, take a shot every time she says cuscus
I think the Mara was that for me. I think I was 29 when I first heard of it and wondered how it slipped by me
I love these Cuscus! I had no idea we had so manu Opussum species. I absolutely love learning this! Thank you 💜 this is a new favorite! ✌🥰
now I want an episode on possums!
Hi @animalogic! Love you and your videos! Can you please cover a Colugo next?!
4:00 Right, "spots" 😂
I had them in an animal book as a kid I loved them!
I love learning about all these weird and interesting animals. Can we do the Kenyan sand boa next? So cute and derpy!
I was trying to remember this animal's name for days. Thank you for the video.
Imagine discovering a brand new type of animal that shares similarities to sloths and koalas but looks like it could be more related to our distant relatives.
Even Charles Darwin would be amazed!
I was waiting for a cuscus video since I discovered your channel
This animal looks like a gecko if it was a mammal.
I've known about the Cuscus because of Jack Hanna. When I was a kid I loved my Zoo Life with Jack Hanna VHS tapes.
i have learned, somewhere. the name, personalities, appearance and behavior is delightful. they move in stages.
I love these guys and have done since I was a kid!
As big of an animal nerd that I am, I was also surprised when I didn't know what a cuscus was
That one chair everyone's grandma had but its been animated by a warlock.
Wow. You win. It has been a good long time since I've seen an animal I haven't been acquainted with
Cuscus: The weirdest animal.
Platypus: Hold my beer.
Cuscus is a coconut sweet famous around Brazil, and consumed everyday in Nor-west of Brazil.
thank ya for the video!
Come to Sulawesi. Go to Tangkoko National Park. Last time I was visited, there were are home-stays near the park. Get a day time and night time tour from the rangers there, you will find tarsiers, kuskus, and macaques. Manado has an international airport, so easier to access worldwide.
Good animal! I've been intrigued by cuscus for a long time... being close to Australia
Amazing! I can’t believe I’ve never heard of these. They really remind me of the marsupial lion Thylacoleo, if it were turned into a teddy bear.
I found this to be one of the critters that wouldn't leave us without losing all the terrible things we did over time. Yup, you can kinda see why when you watch this crazy entertainment on the sidewalk right in front of us. I'm glad they decided to just be nice and hope for the best with this wild behavior and hope for the future.
I'm older than you and I never heard of either. They're beautiful.
They look like a tree marmot. Once I scared a marmot and he climbed a tree. He was hanging from a branch with one hand and a friend from Brazil called him a Canadian sloth.
