Except by the New and discontinued (very useful, thanks for sharing), the rest of the formulas are widely publicized in most fincance books.... but the mix formula you used what exactly the only one which GPT provides... and sincerely it doesn't say too much about the mix situation, I mean it doesn't explain the property the behavior of products mix, it just look like a simple delta between years. If you take in the literature you find other way for calculating it, using a percentual of participation in the share, but I tried a lot to think about what formula could be used for that in order to neutralize the zero effect as New and Disco as you did. Anyway, thank you very much for sharing your knowledge about it!!
Thank you for watching! Looking back, I believe I aimed to make it as simple as possible by focusing on a single time frame. You make a great point, though. If you are creating this report, it's a good idea to make the calculations dynamic and use slicers on the calendar. Thank you for your input! Best regards, Matija
A helpful way to start your own PVM analysis is to download a free template: zebrabi.com/template/price-volume-mix-analysis-power-bi-template/

Loving the walk through and explanations but wondering is there a reason you went for hardcoded quarters - surely more work in the long run?
