    They’re going to remove aoa and ghhs from eras apps soon, those things will just be something you list instead of something they filter by. This is due to a study and report coming from the ama council on medical education based on studies which show biases and lack of consistency in the selection process.

    I think AOA and GHHS would be more useful if they added anything new. But the criteria are kinda variable and also determined by things they are already evaluating you on. The program is gonna come to its own conclusions anyways on your academics or service, etc, so it's really just someone else's aggregate stamp of approval which doesn't seem that useful. I'm sure some places really like it though.
