"He must understand that I have to say the truth". Such kind of journalism hardly still alive...
She was such a beautiful human
Oriana Fallaci is one of my heroes. Her interviews with world leaders are incredibly revealing, I loved especially when she interviewed Khomeini and threw the chador at his feet. She was so brave and her book on her Vietnam year is incredibly revealing about the war. RIP.
“ Politics and diplomacy are the sublimation of lying “… what a perfectly intelligent sentence enclosing a profund truth. She was a wonderful journalist and a wonderful person. A real fighter, stronger then most men - in any case stronger than most men she met. What a pity that this exceptional person left our world.
Oriana Fallaci was one of the few serious journalists. A frank woman. As they say in Italy: *(Pane al pane & vino al vino. Bread to bread and wine to wine).*
“... one of the few serious journalists.” With respect, you know that’s a ridiculous statement, right?
SHE WAS THE GREATEST JOURNALIST THERE EVER WAS !
❤️
"So, if I understand that he has to lie, he must understand that I have to say the truth".
Now I've got to go get a copy of "Interview with History" for my personal library.
We miss you Oriana!
Tantissimo...ci manchi grande donna!!!
Her contribution is beyond words.
She calls out kissinger for what he is. Brava!
Amazing woman. Lesley Manville should play her in her biopic.
Extraordinaria mujer. Ejemplar periodista. Escritora notable.
Dick Cavet's show was outstanding. Still relevant and watchable
Miss you, Oriana ❤️
I recommend “The Rage and the Pride,” the book she wrote in reaction to the 9/11 attacks.
Bloody good one, honest, felt and lived. Though difficult to accept and easy to misunderstand.
Oriana mujer de gran visión de su tiempo.
you need to increase the volume on these clips...thank you
Oriana Fallaci I read this lady's book some years ago; fascinating journalist, brilliant book. Sometimes, her interview with political leaders seemed like they went well and they may take on board some of the things talked about. But afterwards they would do the opposite.
even though I did not always agree with her, during her last years, I must say that she was an excellent journalist and writer.
I came here because I readed about him, but in Spanish, and I just have to say, Robert Greene, thanks, man.
The great Oriana Falacci!
Really enjoying seeing these The Dick Cavett Show
clips, but they are so quiet. Can someone sort out the audio levels?
I have it on full and I can barely hear it.
Thank you, thought it was just me.....
@@DeWittAlbright I had to have my headphones on to hear and when a commercial came on I nearly went deaf. I guess with these being so old if he could make it louder he would.
For anyone in this thread viewing on a desktop or laptop, if you use Chrome as your browser there is an extension called "Volume Master" that enables you to increase the volume of any tab by as much as 600%, it's shown itself to be incredibly useful to me on quieter clips like these.
It would be a simple matter of mastering these videos properly. Sometimes however, if the video is very loud, RUclips itself will turn them down.
Grande Oriana.. Ci manchi tantissimo....
She says F like Flower like Florence, Firenze, una vera fiorentina ❤
What a smart women
Oriana grande donna,di una intelligenza pungente ma vera.
La migliore giornalista italiana in assoluto

Where is it
Where the interviews she did with Kissinger in 1972
When you examine the arc of the decades, starting in the Nixon Administration, today's political gridlock is no surprise.
What a woman! 😮😮

Is this channel ever going to show Dick Cavett shows where he interviews Jackie Gleason and/or Art Carney? I don’t have the Decades channel at all.
FYI, if anyone cares - the French woman journalist whom she refers to was named Danielle Hunebelle, author of the book 'Dear Henry,' which alleged she'd had an affair with Kissinger.
And the title of her book on Vietnam that she mentioned (5:07) was, 'Nothing, and So Be It.' Especially hard to hear with the poor audio.
HENRY KISSINGER WAS HUMAN SLIME !
Who came here after reading the art of Seduction?
Robert Greene brought me here from The art of Seduction.
have nothing against the other celebs that were on this show but is this channel ever going to show the Dick Cavett shows where he interviews Jackie Gleason or Art Carney? How about any Honeymooners actors that were part of the main cast? These are rare much like the other ones.
My God, I am still in love with her ❤❤❤❤❤💜💜💜😍😍😍
😇💚🤍❤😘
Wonderful seeing a legend of my own journalistic high noon. She 'kayoed' 'Ayatollah' Khomeini by taking off the obligatory 'chador' in his presence! Today's Christiane Amanpour frankly doesn't hold a candle to her.
Nowadays Who do we have in the world of journalism close to her level? Pls don’t say Christiane Amanpour
Only Tucker Carlson perhaps can say to have the same courage
Yea I just can't hear most of the clips on this channel. Shame, a real shame
She was italian like me. Simply a great woman and journalist. She predicted the future and we should realize that sooner or later Europe will discover the violence of the muslims. Now is Palestina and tomorrow could be London, Paris, Berlin or Rome. Me? I am sure that soon Rome will be on fire...

LUNG CANCER. YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE SMOKED LADY.
I really admired her journalism, but her wildly racist and islamophobic books really soured her legacy for me. Not only are they offensive but also surprisingly juvenile and poorly written for someone of her experience.
What exactly did she say?or at least a few samples of her work that offended you!
N/A. If you're going to make a statement like that, you need to elaborate.
@@AS-sn5gf It's not enough to say read the book yourself. If you make a statement, you should be able to at least elaborate on your point.
@@AS-sn5gf I know you didn't make the point dip stick, so why are you getting involved when I was speaking to the OP?
Yes was right!! Islam is and will be a problem.
