Need to let Snoopy drive the combine and you can sit on the porch and drink some sweet tea have a bless day 👍👍
My granddad had a 55 John Deere that I learned on. I remember him getting it out of the shed getting it prepared for harvest. Then we’d head out into the field and the dogs would follow all excited. It really brings back memories.
Your farm is like a tractor club with a high tech repair shop.
Just love it, THANKS BILL !!!
Thanks 👍
I have a couple of model 40s. Cut some wheat with one of them few years back. Had a blast!
Thanks for keeping the old ways alive!
Glad she fired right up for you Bill, it’s good to see old equipment still working in today’s modern environment. I hope you have a good harvest and weekend my friend 🙏🏻🇺🇸
Thank you God for your grace and making sure that we have enough and some to share.
Hi Bill,..one enjoy to see your low stress farming style with all the mechanical issues face daily are sort without costly repairs and most of all your strong faith too. We had many of this era J.Deere combines around here as i once rode on a new J.D. 105 with 22' head in 1968 it was the largest combine then next to N.Holland M140. Best regards, Bill.
I own a 1964 40 EB square back . Enjoyed your video.
Nothing hi-tech, but still got the job done. You definitely aren't in flat country. I enjoy the aerial views that give a perspective of the surroundings.
Hey Don, great to hear from you! No level place on this farm, but we deal with it.
Great to see our old combine is still running! We cut alot of soybeans with that machine.
It's always a great feeling eating your own harvest. I know all too well brother. Have a wonderful evening
Yes!!!! You played Foggy Mountain Breakdown!!! It sounded beautiful!!!! A man blessed with many talents on loan from God!! Thanks for the vids and your great sense of humor. Blessings to you and your family.
We had the same JD 40 CB, that was nice to have on a small dairy farm.

Glad you enjoyed it! Have you checked out the other videos on my channel? Let me know what you think.
Well the old girl got the job done. My first combine was a 303 international 10 foot grain head and a 2 row corn head it had a chevy 250 six cylinder.
Glad to see the original Delco Remey generator still there. Plus you're a part owner in a tank cleaning company. Clean the tank !! You know how I am. Lol.
Clean the tank? What, and give up the extra drama in my videos of breaking down. in the field? HaHa.
We have a 40 with 8’ head. Hopefully be running it here in western New York in a few weeks. Thanks for the video!
Hey, thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great time combining with your 40!🤠
I love how you eat what you grow. Very few people on this day and age understand how this happens. Looking forward to the cleaning and grinding into flower. God speed Bill.
That's the first combine I remember then we got a big 55 had a little blower in the corner of the cab we thought we was in high cotton
Amen
Awesome job on the harvest, always something braking down lol, God Bless
Thanks Jimmy, great to hear from you as always.👍
Wait a minute! You didn't have to calibrate the GPS? Set the field edges? Adjust the yield monitor for test weight? WOW, you just went out and threshed your wheat! Amazing in this day and time! Great video, Bill. You never disappoint!

Good video thanks Bill !
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for keeping it interesting and entertaining as you show real life. There are still a few of us that don’t have million dollar operations!
Love the old John Deere equipment. Take me back to went I was driving 4020. What a tractor. Sorry, do not care for the music. Would rather hear the combine run.
Hey Merle! Try this one. ruclips.net/video/Ls1sDUXi1mg/видео.html
I change my # 55 combine over to diesel last years
Very interesting!
I really enjoy watching your videos I love the older tractors and equipment
Glad you like them!
Thanks for sharing the video Bill. Ole 40 didn't let you down. Neighbor cut my wheat last week with a 9660 John Deere. I rode with him and I told him that was not like the combines I had through the years. Yes sir God provides for us all. Y'all will have a plenty of good flour for the delicious meals of whatever they make from it. Hope y'all have a great summer too.
Love the 40! Before my time but awesome to see it working still today.
Awesome videos Bill it sure looked hot out there 😅 that old iron has makes cleaner grain than overpriced machines of today 😊
Thanks 👍
Now watching your videos remind me back in my day working with my uncle's rolls John Deere machinery God bless you from Gary
Hey Gary! I'm glad my videos bring to your mind some good memories.🤠
The best channel for farming videos on YT . Regards from germany
Wow, thank you!
Good job sir.
Thanks, Paul, great to hear from you! 😃
my very first combine running involved a pull type Cockshut didnt even have an unload auger grain tank, was real high with a sloped bottom it,camezout with gravity
Sounds like a great experience!
Southcentral Kansas wheat harvest has been done for about 2 weeks now, most were seeing 60 bpa down to 10 bpa is spots. Most wheat stubble is planted to either soybeans or milo. Hope you have plenty of grain for a mountain of flapjacks. Stay Blessed friend!
I had the exact combine but mine didn’t have the hopper extension! Hottest and dustiest place I’ve ever been except maybe stack small bales in the hayloft!
excellent video sir thank you for sharing
Thanks and welcome!
Good video young man.
Appreciate that, glad you enjoyed it!
Very enjoyable video. Really awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I am surprised that there isn't some condensation in the old combine fuel tank also. Looks like you had a good time cutting wheat this year as usual. Thanks for the videos.
Love that opening with Snoopy !
AMEN. THANK YOU LORD JESUS CHRIST for a bountiful harvest. Keep looking up.
Love that sound track, too 🪕
You got about three times as much wheat this year as last year.
Nothing runs like a Deere.
Nice looking fields, nice looking equipment. Who says you need all the technology to do farm work.
Neighbor had an old allis chalmers pull type combine. We use once in awhile
One would think to harvest wheat you would need a grain cart!
I would love to find an old John Deere grain cart, but I don't raise enough to quite fill the hopper on the combine!😆
hundreds of thousands of acres were harvested with out a grain cart.
Have a friend in central Michigan, kinda the same thing. He has a Gleaner A i believe. Cuts about 15 acres a year. His does have a sweat box on his .
I have always preferred baked goods made with fresh ground flour. Better flavor and better for you, and by my mathematics if its better for you extra helpings are ok
Hey Bill,,good to see the old combine fire right up. Love watching you work your day. Thanks for the ride along. Any news on the move south?
Working on it
I run a 1940's John Deere 12A pull behind.
Very cool!
You have some really cool stuff Bill! Although I don't know enough about John Deer to know what you're showing us I surely recognize classic American ingenuity. Nice touch with the box end wrench today 😉. One question, aren't your cows for eating? Keep the videos coming friend.
Hey Robert! Yes the cattle we raise are beef cattle, we sell by the quarter or the side. We usually eat one a year at our house, not all in one weekend of course.
Nice to see the old equipment but you don't need to combine the field in practically road gear. Would have kept the sediment problem to a minimum.
Thanks for the tips! LOL
Just wondering: are you playing the banjo music? It's well done!
Yeah, that's me doin' a little pickin' and grinnin'.
So with the fuel line gets plugged up every year, why not clean it before you go out to harvest?
What, and not have the added drama of a "break down"? Seriously, I just didn't make the time to do it, but I sure intended to.
This is what I call rabbit wheat, wheat so thin a rabbit can't hide in it.
This came up on Google. It must be the soundtrack 🪕
What came up on Google, the banjo icon? With my video?
@so.md.dirtfarmer2226 it came up on my morning news on the Google icon (maybe it was the modern farming methods or Snoopy).
Glad she fired right up for you Bill, it’s good to see old equipment still working in today’s modern environment. I hope you have a good harvest and weekend my friend 🙏🏻🇺🇸
Thanks 👍
