Why do they put those tractor tires around the track? If you look as the exit Turn 4, they are missing that tire by inches. Do the drivers want the tires there?

SanFranciscoBay it’s to put on a better show basically. So not everybody dragging the infield. It’s supposed to help slickin the bottom so there’s more racing up top. Doesn’t look like it helped much though.

its a hard barrier to mark the very inside of the track.....if there were none or small tires then the drivers would take advantage of that and use them to help their car turn around those sharp corners while also cutting the track somewhat......well ya hit those tires and itll ruin ur night so they use those cuz they know the drivers wont even tempt those things.......

It's an Iowa thing! All the local tracks have done this for as long as I can remember. Cheaper than a wall I guess

Its my local track, they dont have a lot of money there, also they had cut 6 foot of banking off the track that year and people didnt like it so they started moving it back up. Imma start filming the races so you can watch em on my channel if you want idc
