    Shane, have you tried using AK's paint retarder when you do faces? Supposed to keep the paint from drying too quickly and should enable some blending.

      thanks for the heads up Larry, have never tried it before, but I think it would make a massive difference

      Not something I have done before but I would imagine its exactly the same as a 1/35 figure and interior. Why do ask mate ?

      Hi Paul,
      I do take commissions from people and your in luck I have still have a slot for January - February as I tend to only to take a few projects at time ensure quality
      just googled the Porsche there its a beauty ! I would be happy to take on this project if you like. You can send me a private message on RUclips or to my email: ifonlycould@gmail.com
      where we can discuss the details of a potential project.
      Shane.

    How can I clean a Winsor&Newton brushes? Can I use alcool?

  • @tetsujin_144

    I feel like the level of contrast in the AK set is *way* too high, far higher than indicated on the packaging. I'm trying to achieve a much more natural, realistic look. A more subtle look, I guess. The "base flesh" is so dark I don't feel like letting any of it show through is appropriate when painting a figure as Caucasian... So I just wind up covering it up.
    I can custom mix the stuff, of course... But I thought I was buying a figure-painting paint set so I wouldn't need to. :) Well perhaps I can still make the set work for the kind of look I have in mind. (I'm still just learning to paint figures...)

    • @longlance67
      @longlance67  7 лет назад

      or you could easily mix the colours to suit what you have in mind

    Well after 5 attempts I beginning to think of throwing my F**king paints away ahhhhhhh so frustrating

    • @longlance67
      @longlance67  3 года назад

      keep at it, its pretty frustrating at first but in time it will get easier what kind of brushes are you ?
