Don't fret over CO2 because it's got nothing to do with climatology. No national weather office in the world uses C02 for weather/climate purposes; it's irrelevant. The only gas that's used is water vapour, and I know that from a 44-year career in meteorology/climatology.

The UK is going back to the 70s. When regular power cuts will become the norm again. This is what “net zero” brings. Instead of doing it sensibly over time, we are rushing it through in a short amount of time. It’s expensive and making everyone poorer and our lives more difficult.

There is no sensible implementation of "net zero" the very concept is nonsensical and entirely removed from being at all "sensible" at it's core. It's a literally cult out to do harm. Before the industrial revolution, we were DANGEROUSLY close to getting a carbon ppm so low Earth would begin to resemble mars.. burning fossil fuels raised that to only slightly higher.. we actually need to DOUBLE our carbon emissions for plant, and therefore animal life (we are animals) to thrive. These loons wish to take us back to the brink of extinction, and then just hope that enough volcanoes erupt to keep the atmospheric chemicals high enough for our plant life to barely hold on, malnourished, as we will all be.. in the name of the planet. A warmer Earth is better than a dead one, trust me. What these people are trying (and worringly moderately achieving..) is to convince carbon based lifeforms, on a carbon based planet, with a carbon based atmosphere.. that carbon, is killing them... it's fucking idiocy of the highest order.

In time new types of energy will be developed, but it won't be if the means of producing energy is prematurely cut off. The CO2 released into the atmosphere does not mean warming goes up accordingly, there is a cut-off point.

How will we make the batteries, to store the energy, in 6 years we cant make all the new power stations, the batteries to store the energy cant hold enough energy to power a nation, so if we get loads of rain like in the winter and its dark a 4pm whete we going to get the energy from then when solar panels wont generate enough, and if we do go with solar and wind where we going to build all this what take away the fields from the farmers, if so where we going to get food from.
Batteries need oil to get made and use oil in their construction but we can never use batteries to store energy - way out on cost.

I've been told you need around 300 Litre's of oil for the gearbox on every wind turbine. So no wind power after 2030. No solar panel either you need oil for production of both wind and solar.
