- EP 1 - Join us sailors as we get grounded in Vermont! Unexpectedly even to us, we've begun to build a land home in our dream town in rural Vermont. We'll be building it with our own hands so this is going to be an adventure in and of itself! In this episode, we start building a driveway, play around with heavy machinery, Sarah zips down to Virginia to check on Blossom and goes sailing alone for the first time, and we enjoy the bountiful Vermont harvest and get settled into our new surrounds.

You’ll want to take any large rocks and boulders you pull up excavating and use them to build yourself a retaining wall on that slope above you to ease the grade. Otherwise without vegetation in place and one heavy 2” rain and your soil slide down to the next county. I am in vermont and do excavation on my property as well as I prepare a homestead
Don’t worry! We just spent months on soil retention. Will be back at it when it thaws. Best of luck to you on your homestead too!

Vermont is a free state they don't gerrymander the state and they have three parties one of the cleanest state in America I'm from Canada and love the senators of that state

Love Vermont has a Democrat socialist and democratic senator and a Republican governor and they work together it's beautiful the politicians in that state answer to the people of that state I love Bernie Sanders if he was a politician in Canada he would be the prime minister I'm from winnipeg manitoba Canada
