    Got a frontier last season as my first new snowboard (I've been using a older used board for a couple seasons). Great in powder, great in trees/backcountry, alright in park and pretty good in icy conditions. Great all around board for someone who also wants to be able to ride a bit of backcountry. Quick question for anyone who knows, I have had a problem with strands of fiberglass sticking out between the sidewall and topsheet. Will this be a problem? I usually just pull the strands out when they appear and it seems like they aren't really coming out anymore, but I'm just worried about moisture getting inside. Thanks

      That sounds like a manufacturing defect. When properly glassed, I don't see any reason why cloth/fibers should be exposed. To me that suggests lack of resin saturation. I don't claim to be an expert, but I have some experience shaping and repairing surfboards. I would just hit up Jones and have them take care of it, as I imagine this is covered by warranty. It might not ever become a major problem, but why risk potential delamination? Cheers!

    Good summary of the Jones lineup. I purchased my first Jones snowboard last year (Aviator 2.0). Love the camber profile and Traction Tech 3.0 which helps on ice.

    Great review, I’ve got the mountain twin and I love it, I’m looking at adding another board, I fancy something for going fast and maybe a bit more of a pow board. Would you suggest the flagship, aviator, hovercraft or frontier ?
    Cheers

    What's up guys dig the review!!
    What would you guys suggest for 6'2" 165lbs. 10.5 boot? Looking to get the frontier but not sure 156, 158w ,159.. think I'm pushing the weight limit for 156 and not sure if I want/need a wide with 10.5...?
    And do you have a recommendation for jones bindings to throw on it.. mercury or Orion or the suf bindings..? In a solid intermediate rider .. trees pow and groomers not too much park stuff at this point...thanks guys

      How old are you? Guessing youre pretty young if you’re that light at 6’2. So id go with a 159 easily.

    Wicked bro. My boy got me into the Jones aviator 2.0. this year. Haven't looked back. If you want to rip the ice coast and maintain a locked in edge in all conditions, you can't go wrong with the aviator. Insane pop as well. I'd imagine the frontier is awesome for my riding too.

    Hi! I am hesitating between Mountain Twin and Twin Sister. I am 175 cm tall guy, 70 kg and my boot size is 41,5 (26,5 cm). Do you recommend me the Twin Sister? I know it's for women. But i like better this graphics than Mountain Twin. And which size you recommend me? Thank you! Greetings from Hungary! :)

    For a newbie to boarding terminology, I’m looking to upgrade to a Jones board this season.. Now what really differentiates the Mountain Twin vs the Flagship??? What would you recommend? I’ve been wanting the mountain twin but the flagship may be calling my name instead

    • @KYLESHREDS
      @KYLESHREDS Год назад +1

      Flagship is if your riding a lot of steep/technical terrain or if you want to go fast and make hard carves. Mountain twin for a more all mountain freestyle feel, more loose and playful and a lighter flex

    I received my new 22-23 mountain twin couple days ago, which I pre-ordered way back in days. Haven't tried it on snow, I definitely trust it in performance, but little bit disappointed how different is the color for the front face painting on their website picture and the actual board.

    hi, where does the stratus fit. I'm looking for something freeride Seeking off piste, carve, cruise, explore, not into insane velocity. lol maybe some trees. intermediate + 5.6 9.5 boot 153 lbs.

    • @alastor1052
      @alastor1052 2 месяца назад +1

      Stratos is less stable than the hovercraft and a little more serious than the Frontier. I think the stratos is mainly for big mountain guys who like going off of technical slopes and the occasional pow. Frontier is more casual, but in softer snow you can still lay it over. Kind of depends on what conditions you face often tbh

    • @alastor1052

      I mean you can...will it be fun? Perhaps not...
      Most of these boards feature stiff camber, if you want to skid turns and take it easy they will probably catch an edge and try to kill you
