    We make a version of this! It's good stuff! We always add some sort of dried fruit. Cranberries, blueberries yellow raisins, turkish dried figs. It's never the same two times in a row.

      Here’s the trick, I used backed seed first and that’s bitter. Next I used raw avocado seed, much better. Only need a couple seeds ground up.

  • @Traderjoe

    Definitely going to have to try this! I bet some raw honey would make it even tastier. Maybe even raisins too.

    • @susancham6025
      @susancham6025 2 года назад

      If you want the sweetness, sure, but this is traditionally a hearty, protein packed, nut bread with a distinct texture that would be somewhat compromised with honey and mushy raisins.

    I’m going to try this with Organic sprouted nuts and seeds . I will grind nuts a bit. Also, the best nutrients from eggs would be Organic Prairie Raised. The nutrients are wayyy higher! I will spread thick on dehydrator sheets, that way I can still cut into bread slices. Don’t want to cook over 118 degrees all the time because you lose all the vitamins and enzymes! I want maximum nutrition. Thx for the recipe!

    Delish! If you want the bottom and sides to have an even crust, take the loaf out of the pan after 30 mins, turn it over on a cookie sheet without the parchment paper and continue baking for 30 minutes.

  • @JWolfcat
    @JWolfcat 6 лет назад

    I made 2 loaves of this and I am sad to say that I must have done something wrong since they came out of the oven too hard to cut with a knife ☹️ I got them out of the bake pans and put them in the fridge. I few days later I got them out of the fridge, zapped them in the microwave with a bit of water and then was able to crumble them into a pan of water with a brown sugar on top and I let them boil a while. Turned them off and had a bowl of nutty cereal with milk! The rest is back in the fridge but now I am able to enjoy eating it! Thanks for a good video!

      Crazywaffle5150 The recipe calls for olive oil. Regardless, the "flash point" of an oil is usually not relevant when baking....

  • @jackvoss5841
    @jackvoss5841 Год назад +1

    HINT: when you line a baking pan with parchment, do not (repeat NOT) cut the parchment where it fits inside the container. Put a miter fold on the corners (or, like I do, ram them into submission) so the parchment is a CONTINUOUS liner. The ingredients will (repeat WILL) leak out through any internal cut in the parchment, and bake onto the container. Guaranteed! That defeats what you started out to do in the first place.
    After filling of the baking pan has been completed, trim off excess parchment above the edge of the pan.

    Where is the Stone Age mortar and pestle and pounding the seeds a little more. Flax will keep you super clean, while the sunflower will push out the worms. Good honey and/or tree sap sugar (maple, birch, ...) can definitely bind up those seeds. They sell some of the same at Starbucks and REI.
